There’s a bunch of Caffè Artigiano outlets around town, but I think this is the one I like the most. It’s got squishy seats, plenty of light and the staff are always friendly, making tasty coffees very quickly, even at busy times. However, HOWEVER. Be warned. Sometimes strange people wander by and peer in the window(one old man insisted on trying to make constant and unwavering eye contact with me from outside while clumsily rummaging in his voluminous pocket for his iPhone 5) and the other day they were playing the WEIRDESTJAZZMUSIC in which someone howled like a banshee while smashing a piano. Also, the door slams loudly, which drives me crazy if I’m in there for any length of time. Still, it’s as decent a place as any to while away one of the so finite supply of afternoons that fate has granted us before, inevitably, our great lord Beelzebub strides forth from the eight dimension to finally claim what is rightfully his.

Chocolate hazlenut croissant was quite tasty and I enjoyed the London fog. Came to the café because it was rated a great place to work and study. Unfortunately there was no wifi available, which I needed. But I enjoyed the experience and if you don’t need wifi, you can get something great to eat and drink. It’s a great place to read and people watch.

Just above your average grab n go coffee joint. Nothing wrong with the coffee but nothing outstanding or special…

I really want to like this location as its so convenient to work but the service is a MAJOR letdown. My friend goes here every morning and gets the same order(a tall coffee — not too difficult right?) but the staff still manage to mess it up some days. Communication is terrible and as for a friendly chat or a smile — well lets just say I’m still waiting for that day to arrive! Also its ridiculous that a coffee shop does not provide free wi-fi — not offering what is surely considered to be a basic service nowadays yet increasing coffee prices across the board… not cool. Staff need to up their game.

Café Artigiano is top notch. One of the most consistent café’s I’ve been frequenting for many many years. Great coffee: Latte’s, Americanos, cappucinos, drip, french press… Decent baking and food. Decent old school non-intrustive old school Jazz /vocal music.

A regular café. Not a fan the interior design, not a fan of their chai latte. Very nice service though!

Disappointed with the coffee here — very bitter and almost burnt in taste. No WiFi available either.

This was one of the best parts of our Vancouver trip: fresh cranberry orange-glazed scones and delicious, rich coffee at Caffe Artigiano. We even tried to find parking nearby to make another visit the morning we left town. Alas. It was not to be.

Best coffee art in town! I come to this location quite often as i work in the area. I have to say their spanish coffee is on fleek. The coffee art is usually really good, and flavour is amazing too. However the temperature is a bit inconsistent, I’m not sure if its the milk temperature. I would go back every day if it was a little cheaper :)

Really sour tasting espresso! Couldn’t even finish the small soy latte I ordered. It also wasn’t a latte, the foam filled half my cup, I don’t mind foam! But not when it has such awful tasting espresso :( The service was awesome but café was super busy so that could have played a part. Pretty bummed, I avoided the Starbucks in hopes of getting a decent tasting espresso drink but blegh, I also only make min. wage so ordering myself a $ 4.60? Small soy latte is my luxury treat for the day –sadfaces

The salmon paninis have been a favorite of mine to order here… But I’m getting a little tired of it… and the menu hasn’t really changed! Maybe a rotating seasonal menu would be ideal for the loyal artigiano customers! Lets see it!

Kinda like this offbeat small coffee house kind of feel. The wooden tables are pretty tightly packed. The only downside to this place is the small washroom, which wasn’t clean, when I had visited. I got a Spanish latte but like most of the time, the presentation was 10⁄10 but it wasn’t as hot as I would have liked it to be. It was also a little sweeter than the last time I got it. Good coffee though!

Nice little spot for cappuccino and fruit salad. Didn’t sample, but the pastries looked amazing. The place was comfortably full and relaxed.

Fairly authentic Italian ambiance and coffee(i.e. very dark roast). Cappucini were quite good, and they even had soymilk which they foamed to perfection. Staff were very nice but seemed unsure what a «traditional» cappucino was, so it was a relief when they came out right.

After going to this coffee shop for my morning coffee nearly every day for the past two weeks, I had a problem with them earlier this week regarding customer service. I was treated rather badly when I brought to their attention that they had made a mistake with my order. I was upset, and wrote an email off to head office detailing my awful experience in the store. I was so impressed that a representative got back to me within two hours. She set up a meeting with the manager of the store(who I initially had the encounter with). He apologized, bought me my coffee. I feel that we resolved this conflict in a very civilized manner, and I am happy they actually took the time and effort to change my impression of their company. I still really like their Spanish lattes.

Delicious coffee, friendly baristas, plenty of seating inside and out. Beans available to-go. Lots of pastries to choose from. Sorry, no wifi though. The real espresso drinks are a welcome alternative to the overwhelming presence of Starbucks around downtown Vancouver BC. We’ll be back!

this is our first time visiting this café and i have to say that their mocha is delicious. But their salmon eggs benedict is one of the best! The hollandaise sauce is just perfect! I took 2 stars away because of the service. There was a little bit of a wait with our orders and my partner actually saw one of the lady server faked a smile while serving a customer then immediately took it out when the the customer was not looking. there are no consistency with the customer service. other than the service, food and ambiance is great! love the graphic art paintings as well!

A convenient place to stop for a warm drink near the Vancouver Art Gallery. The décor’s a little cheesy, but there’s a patio, plenty of seats inside, and warm drinks to help fend off the cold. We were there around 4pm on a Sunday during the holidays and about half the tables had customers. It was warm and cozy and not too busy. * Chai Tea Latte — 3.5 stars pic: Nice, with plenty of foamed milk on top. A little on the sweet side, but this worked to keep me warm!

Wow! This coffee hub is packed at all hours. I thought I was skipping the coffee rush hour at 930am — 12pm but no, lines and lines of coffee drinkers needing their fix. Props to these guys for making me a decent flat white(like a wet cappuccino) with pretty coffee art to boot. My Americano was decently strong too. The only drawback about their coffee is the intense burnt/smoke of the roast. I like my coffee strong but less burnt. It’s like they’re masking lousy beans by roasting them more(hello, Starbucks!). Friendly staff who know what they are serving nonetheless.

I wanted to try a local chain here in Vancouver and while I didn’t make it to Blenz I think this was a wonderful recommendation. I enjoyed my non fat latte and blueberry scone. My boyfriend had an iced latte but he isn’t really picky about anything the way I am, especially espresso, coffee and milk. There was a decent size line when we arrived but it moved quickly and our drinks were ready almost immediately. I’d definitely return any day over a Starbucks.

We went to Hornby Location. A good place for breakfast or brunch. Hubby ordered omelettes have an impeccable and full flavor with their spicy sausage too. I ordered panini with tomato sauce. Taste very good indeed. Anything on the menu is hood and their coffee is delicious. Great staff as well friendly. Price is right too. Cont: no wifi. Sucks if you come here without company. Perhaps oldfashion newspaper is an option while you drinking coffee. Bottom line: if you are looking for a quick, easy and affordable breakfast/brunch, this is a great option.

Cute spot, very convenient to the Vancouver Art Gallery. The smoked salmon bagel was exceptional — thinly sliced fennel on it. Yummy! And hello Spanish latte with pretty foam art! But seriously, a coffee house with no wifi? Fail. I couldn’t even check in!

Being heavily affected by Seattle’s coffee craze, Vancouver has no shortage of great coffee houses, so then it just comes down to location and presentation! This particular Artigiano sits directly across from the Vancouver Art Gallery and has a great patio to enjoy a latte and do some people watching. There’s also some great eateries and activities nearby so all-around it’s a great place for coffee! As soon as they get some coconut or almond milk I will upgrade them to five stars but for now they insist that humans drink cows milk…

My go to place when need a pick me up. One of the best lattes in town. So sad the Robeson location closed down but of all the other locations in the city, the hornby is the best. If you are hungry, they have amazing breakfast wraps, the vegetarian is especially good. They also won many latte art challenges with pretty designs. Value 3⁄5 the price has gone up recently Atmosphere 3.5÷5 very busy long lines Service: 4⁄5 Quality 4⁄5 15.5÷20

Great Coffee ESPECIALLY on a freezing day. . Once you walk in, you feel like it’s a real coffee house. The smell of coffee being brewed, the small chatter among the guests, and newspapers hung on the wall for your reading enjoyment. Vanilla Latte One of the best in Vancouver. A little expensive, but very creamy and does the job on a freezing day. The size was definitely more generous than other coffee shops we’ve visited, so don’t be afraid to share! Tuscan Ham Breakfast Sandwich($ 4.75) Pressed with the panini maker. Nice and hot when you get it. They also give you a nice portion of egg, and I DOLOVEMYEGGS! If you get this and a coffee, that should be a nice little breakfast. Chicken and Brie Sandwich($ 4.75) Nice chunks of chicken. The cheese was melted. Great sandwich, but I do like the Tuscan Ham a little better. This is more of a lunch sandwich(FYI). Chocolate Chip Cookie A very big cookie(that I couldn’t even finish in one sitting). Nice and soft. Not too sweet. I would for sure get this cookie again! I’d love to come here if I had some work to do. It’s relaxing and pretty quiet, despite how many people are actually in there.

I LOVE Caffe Artigiano a WAYMORE than Starbucks. But as I have a bunch of green apron friends ;) I don’t tell them I am going to Artigianno sometimes… Ok… OFTEN I should say. The latte original or Spanish latte(they add condensed milk) are THEBESTLATTE I NEVERHAD… The bean are roasted perfectly… And the foam! I found the goodies(chocolat or almond croissant, banana loaf, muffin) CANBEMOREFRESH… This is pricey enough so… And one thing especially at the location on Hornby and Davie at Yaletown… The staffs can be a way MOREFRIENDLY… Wow… They all looked on an hangover and angry to be at work… Smile are free BTW… But again AMAZING coffee!
