Hey people price isn’t everything. Consumers Produce and Joyce 99 Market on Kingsway are disgusting filthy places. Food is not stored properly. Joyce 99 Market has had rodent violations from the City of Vancouver inspectors.

If you are looking for beautifully shaped, spotless fruits and veggies in a spotless establishment with nice, friendly and helpful staff… You’re in the wrong spot. If you need veggies and fruits and packed meat that is dirt cheap that… No lie may may not still have a little dirt on jt from the farm then this is the place for you. It isn’t the cleanest and yes sometimes the fruit and veggies on display are NOT pretty, there’s the occasional bruise, oddly shaped and yes sometimes slighty rotten, sounds gross I know. It’s cheap, you get what you pay for and if you’re okay to grab that peach that has a little bit of a bruise starting to mold throw it to the back of the pile and grab a nice looking oeach that hasn’t touched it then you’re good! They have a good assortment. Fruits, veggies, meats. Frozen foods and packaged foods too. I stock up every few weeks on their ground pork and beef which is usually no more than $ 2 – 3 a package. They take both debit and credit and you can find free parking around the neighborhood.

I usually pick up my greens across the street and just by happenstance came over here when my regular place is closed. There are so many variety of greens here and the prices are insanely low. Today, the Winter Melon is at 29 cents a pound. The Lobak is 59 cents and they were very young and fresh. I was surprised by the outside stall of ‘Fresh off the Boat’ table of fish, live squid that gathered a crowd. I am now sold to come and check the prices and goods first before I go to my regular place.

While the prices here are very cheap, the quality of the fruits and vegetables are poor. I just bought a package if cherries and when I opened them, found that almost all had to be thrown out. You really need to pick things over. Of more concern, however is the condition of the store. The floors are filthy and everything is run down. Lastly, the staff are often rude and always unfriendly as are many of the customers! Not a pleasant shopping experience… I will stick with Kin’s and pay a bit more for good quality produce, polite staff and a clean environment

This place reminds me alot of the Chong Lee stores… good prices for produce, meats, asian products and some frozen and dried goods. The quality of some of the produce is not the best but you just have to check them before you buy. I usually get my chicken bones here and basic stuff like carrots, onions etc. They also have pretty good quality and cheap pasta. Overall a pretty decent asian market.
