Breakfast at Denny’s with the family. Seated right away and coffee was fresh. Ordered blueberry breakfast pancakes. Pancakes were moist and not dry, topped with blueberries and whipped cream. Hash browns and bacon were crispy. Good location along a busy road near the airport. Price was reasonable. Would come back

Looks like this chain hasn’t changed too much since I last ate here some 5 years ago. Parking is available in the nice large lot beside and behind the building. The inside is still dated(1980s). Classic diner feel. One curious thing about this location is that there are sockets underneath some of the seats. This is probably so that the staff can plug in vacuum cleaners, but in this modern era, it also means one can charge his or her phone. Their famous Slam breakfasts are still around $ 11, which is actually quite reasonable. The Philly Cheese Steak omelette I had had was quite generous on the steak, mushrooms, and onions. Very tasty. The hash browns deliver, and the toast is good in case one doesn’t get full off the main platter. One thing I noticed is that the food is now a lot less greasy than years past. Guessing management finally decided to change their recipes for the better.

3.5 stars. I only come to Denny’s on birthdays to take advantage of their free birthday meals. If it’s your birthday, you get $ 10.291 towards any entrée. At the moment, Denny’s has a small selection of burgers, sandwiches, breakfast dishes and entrées. Desserts, milkshakes, coffees and appetizers round off their offerings. Our order was served in about 5 minutes, and was reasonably tasty albeit quite greasy. Even with the birthday deal, the bill came to over $ 20 for two entrées. It would’ve been over $ 30 otherwise, which is quite pricy for two people. For my money, I’d rather eat at White Spot as their food is better in most regards. Well, until next year.

I came here last sunday and boy was it packed!!! I guess Im just surprised how much people are already awake by noon on a sunday. I also used to come here after nightshifts for breakfast. It is at a convenient location on Marine Drive. I always order their American slam or meat lover, these mainly consists of hash potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausages, too much pancakes and your choice of bread etc something like that along the line. Quality, taste and presentation is all just average. It is a bit pricey-10 $+ for a mediocre breaky. However, good ‘ol Denny’s is always a lifesaver when its in the middle of the night and you want something… anything!!! It is open 24⁄7 so it becomes handy in times of desperation. Service is usually not bad. Lots of parking at the lot. Oh and not to mention their holiday menu is out! Ooh~~and oh one last thing: you can bring a buddy with you on your birthday and it’ll be buy one get one free!

Absolutely the best service anywhere from the friendly staff for breakfast. Great prices and fabulous coffee. We go out of our way to go to this location where the long-time servers treat customers like family.

Geez isn’t Denny’s one of the old staple restaurants around? I’m going to try not to date myself but I’ve been going to Denny’s since I first started driving a car. It’s an institution! So my friend and I met at the old Denny’s on Marine Drive for a quick breakfast before hitting the golf course for the afternoon. We ended up both ordering a healthier alternative: a Fit Slam. Overall, hey its not as tasty as their Fantastic Four Meals but still not too bad. I can’t really say too much about this Denny’s. To me Denny’s is an comfort place. You come in and you instantly feel comfortable. The food they serve is comfort food. All the Denny’s are like that! Thumbs up to Denny’s!

I tried this Denny’s when I first moved into the neighbourhood. But after a less than great experience, I haven’t been back. Than I had a great experience at another Denny’s so I decided to give the one near my home another chance. The restaurant was almost empty, despite it being breakfast time. Not to mention the train station and near by construction site, which could provide a steady supply of customers. I think this comes down to the service. It wasn’t great from the get go. The host made a sour face when I asked for a bigger booth so I could have space to open a binder(it’s not as if they were busy). The waitress did her best to ignore me: I had to ask for more water and I couldn’t catch her again for additional hot water for my tea. On the upside, the restaurant has free parking and my food arrived immediately and we’ll prepared. So, I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars because everything on my plate was just how I liked it. But other restaurants in this neighbourhood can do good food AND good service, so I won’t be back.

Let’s just say it was ok considering it was a Sunday morning and it was 7 am. The food looked better on the photo(what else would one expect?). The potatoes were undercooked and crunchy(I hate raw potatoes). The attendant was distracted and didn’t offer coffee refills often enough, preferred to spend their time closer to the counter. I feel sorry for people who have to work that early on a Sunday :(. Considering it is the second time in many years that I visit this place, I will wait a few more before I go back.

The handful of times I’ve been here are always because of a birthday. Who could resist a Free Grand Slam on your birthday? Just make sure you have valid ID and purchase a drink to get your free breakfast. As you probably expect, the food at Denny’s will satisfy your buttery, fatty, and carb quota of the day but sometimes you just need a meal like that. However, with my recent visit, I was slightly disappointed with the serving size. The grand slam wasn’t as grand as I hoped and the prime rib eggs benny wasn’t as prime as I thought. I’m used to the portions almost falling off my plate but everything looked like average portions. I was sad about the usual frisbee sized pancakes being even smaller than the plate it was served in. My recent meal was the Prime Rib Eggs Benedict. My poached eggs were not soft at all, it was pretty much hard poached, I wanted my runny yolks. The prime rib was kinda dry and there wasn’t much there. The saddest part was the hollandaise sauce was not creamy, it was kind of like a tasteless paste. Overall, the most flavour came from the ketchup I used with my potatoes. In the end, this location is great because it’s open 24/7, there is plenty of free parking, free Wi-Fi, very friendly staff and the interior is kept decently clean and organized.

Never had any problems when I go here. Breakfast is amazing with the large variety of pancakes to sandwiches and all that. Hash Browns are pretty good! Dinner is decent. They have the basic burgers and chicken fingers along side a wide variety of appetizers. They also have their custom order kind of things too! Service is always good! They’ll always come ask about how the food is and if you need any refils!

I don’t go to Denny’s often, but I always enjoy it when I do. You can count on 24 hours being open, great breakfasts, cheap steaks, large variety menu, and a consistent diner experience throughout Canada and the USA. This particular location has excellent management and service. A bunch of us went there last month and I ordered a breakfast with 3 pancakes because that’s what I was craving. Unfortunately, 2 of the pancakes were burnt on one side so I only picked at them for the non-burnt parts, and then ate the one that wasn’t burnt. At the end of the meal, the waitress asked me how everything went. I wasn’t originally going to complain, but since she asked, I explained to her the pancake situation. She apologized and asked if I wanted new pancakes. Alas, by then the food had settled and I was too full to eat anymore. But I appreciated her trying to make it right. When she came back with the bill, she said her manager felt really bad because the pancake was indeed quite burnt. She apologized again and said the manager gave me the breakfast for free. I was totally surprised as I didn’t think they would care so much(a lot of places don’t).

Yup, I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna review Denny’s. So this location on Southwest Marine is actually pretty OK in terms of service. Attentive, responsive(I got three refills on my coffee last time), and hey — it’s Denny’s. It’s where you go when you’re: A) broke; B) drunk; C) starving and needing carbs; or D) all of the above. How can hash browns and Moons Over My Hammy ever disappoint?

.Go for the breakfast you can’t loose. The club I had there once was terrible so I avoid lunch items and stick to breakfast items only. The service was awesome. I love the older staff they don’t bs you with flirty comments for tips. They work for them! Great milk shakes. Love the Lumberjack slam. I have to go to the gym now…

This location is now open 24HOURS(since the renovation a couple years ago). I like the big booths, the late hours, and breakfast allllll day long. There is a parking lot shared with the Subway(also 24 hours) and a couple other businesses. There is also street parking. I will always go for the Salsa Benny. And it’s nice you can order a half(just one half of an english muffin with 1 egg) … but why you would do that when you can get a tasty full order, I don’t know. That weird experiment they had with the«create your own burger» was weird, and the structural integrity of the patties was questionable. I am not a big fan of any of the sandwiches, and I’ve never had the dinner foods.

If memory serves me well, this place was always a Denny’s and never more. Back in the day we’d come here for late night coffees and greasy burgers or for the odd weekend breakfast to cure ourselves from a hangover. It was also a place I would meet with many a mulit-level marketer who wanted to show me their golden financil plan over a coffee and a Grand Slam. For those memories, I’d give this particular location a 3 to 4 stars. I haven’t had the pleasure to have a female companion throw their hot coffee in my face at some insensitive commentary I made about their makeup or choice of clothing here, so it’s more like 4 stars. So why the 3 stars? I’m old and my mother is getting there too.(Hi Mom!). We just look young. :) We both think we can eat like we’re young too! That was our, or mostly, my mistake. Two coffee’s cream no sugar. She had a senior sized portion of Eggs Benny and I had something that had a steak, breast, filet of something breaded and fried with two eggs, toast(neat) tomatoes(no hash). Then I saw the Mac and Cheese. «OH!!! I have to have that!»(bad idea, carbs kill me). It was the Mac and cheese that did it in and dropped it down a notch for moi. but then again, this is Denny’s and you kinda have to expect it not to be more than a Denny’s. I was basically grossed out by all the grease that I ate and should have ordered the salad with no dressing. Blech! Not! And it wasn’t even my birthday.
