More or less a Panda Express with a different name. You know that type of place — where they have someone running around with free samples of chicken teriyaki usually. If you eat at this sort of place, it’s usually for convenience and/or price. You know what it’s going to be like. Not great but edible and fills a spot. This place is no different.

Food court quality food. Fast, not fresh, expensive comapred to other chinese places with choose your items kind of thing. I would rather have Ho Ho’s yummy food on Davie. Here at Flaming Work I got half rice half noodles with sweet(bland) and sour pork, beef with vegetables(like 1 peice of beef) they barley fill the styrofoam container they can fit double then they put in there and 2 spring rolls this came to $ 13. At Ho Ho’s I get half rice half noodles, chicken with green bean, lemon chicken, bbq prok and a big egg roll so much food piled super high in a take out container for $ 6.99.soo yeah1

Like many of these vendors, they offer a piece of chicken as a sample. I liked the chicken and decided to do a 2 combo lunch. Fried rice, the sesame chicken and bbq pork. Well, the bbq pork didnt really taste that great. The fried rice wasnt as tastey either. I also bought a fresh fruit mixture from there and it was good. Price for that was way higher than I though. I paid $ 12 canadian. which was not up to my standard for price/quality/taste ratio. While the staff was friendly and they were fast to get the order done. Unfortunately, I have to give 2 stars as I felt the price was too high and the food quality was low.

Not satisfied with my sad sushi pieces from an earlier food court purchase, I decided to order a small dish at Flaming Wok. I was lured in from the lady who yells out at the crowd«Sesame chicken!» or was it «Orange chicken»? Anyway, it was some sort of chicken for samples and because I had 1, I felt obligated to buy something. My noodles were too oily and a bit salty. I ended up throwing away more than half of my plate. I hate wasting food, but I coudn’t deal with that mess.

The rice was good but the rest of the food was horrible. Our food was cold even though the place was swamped. Those with allergies beware: there’s a lot of cross contamination.
