Kinda hard to rate, as the reviews here are a bit frightening. did a quick Unilocal search(dont’ we all) before I headed inside, and that’s what scared me away as I bought a pair of nice jeans from the sample sale in Richmond last week. I did inquire about the 1-hour hemming service for $ 18, but I wasn’t that desperate or brave enough, esp. when he said it may be 2 hours instead. Fair enough if he’s busy. Accept credit/debit. Limited meter parking right in front though plenty around the corner.

I had no problems with the service provided here, but the prices seemed very high for dry cleaning. I took 7 items of clothing for dry cleaning and the bill came to $ 109. I brought them in on a Thursday, they were ready for pickup on Tuesday. Blazers: $ 16 each Dresses: $ 20(this seems nuts to me, as it was a very basic shift dress) Blouses: $ 10 Skirts: $ 10

Professional. Curteous. They worked with you to ensure the end sewing/hemming would be to your satisfaction. I’ve taken in casual linen trousers & work(cotton/rayon/lycra) trousers without any issue.

I’m too cost conscious to buy clothes that need dry cleaning on a regular basis. However, I have used Golden Dry Cleaners three times now to mend, alter and or clean coats and they have done a terrific job. Great care was taken to understand what I wanted and when I picked the items up, all was as they promised it would be. I cannot ask for more

Great service and knowledgeable couple. He repaired a satchel for me a while back and just popped in to get some shirts done. $ 5 a shirt which is more than I am used to in edmonton, but done in a day is pretty good. Aziz is the guy to talk to here. Also, they do 1 hour hemming which is useful to know if you ever need it downtown.

The worst alteration ever!!! Ruined all my cloth. They finished the work in 10min and of course it has to be the crappy job with that speed. They just dont care how much your cloth worth. I would NEVER ever recommend this place to anybody.

I took a VERY(about $ 2000) expensive dress here to be altered. The alteration was so HORRIBLY done that the dress was ruined forever. I had had the dress altered to wear to a party and picked it up the afternoon before I went, because I was in such a rush, I did not try it on until I got home. HUGEMISTAKE! The hem was completly crooked. I immedietly contacted the owner who informed me that they were closing and could not help me. While on the phone he informed me that the dress was exactly how I had requested(it was altered so short that my behind was hanging out the back) but would try to stretch it out for me if I brought it by next time they were opened. I brought it and again it did not work. There was no offer of a refund. I took the issue to the BBB and the owner refused to refund any of my money, he took no responsibility for his actions and accused me of lying about my reactions to seeing the dress. DONOTBRINGYOURTHINGSHERE!!!

While finding seamstresses throughout North America is a major part of my job, I was stumped when I actually had to get something done myself in Vancouver. Upon the recommendation of the Banana Republic around the corner, I brought a skirt here to have it taken in so it didn’t look like I was wearing a paper bag. Even though there were 2 people in line in front of me, service was very speedy and thorough. The change room provided is roomy and has a full length mirror. The only downside to the experience was that to have your garments pinned, you have to stand in the entrance to the shop. People thankfully moved to the side and things are pinned quickly. A few chalk marks were made to extend the back pleats and once again I had hips! I dropped the skirt off on a Friday and it was ready to go by Wednesday afternoon. $ 20 plus tax was charged and the finished product is perfect. The pleats are longer and you can’t tell that it was taken in by ~5″. They accept credit and debit cards and so you don’t have to worry about bringing cash with you. I would definitely recommend them for alterations!
