I’ve never had such an TERRIBLE experience. I brought in a floor length dress that I wanted hemmed to just above the knee. I went back two weeks later(I had to follow up with them, they never called) and the dress was hemmed A LOT shorter than the approved length. I brought this to the owners attention and instead of apologizing he became defensive told me that I must have approved the hem at that length. I was clearly upset at the mistake and the owner offered nothing but rude remarks. Just avoid at all costs, there are so many other place that offer better service in this city.

This used to be my to-go dry cleaning because of the proximity and reasonable prices. The quality has been acceptable although a few times I received a shirt back that was not perfectly pressed but I didn’t want to make a fuss about it. Several month ago I have dry-cleaned a pair of black pants from Banana Republic. When I got the pants back they clearly had shiny strikes that usually appear when you burn your clothes during ironing. So I went back to talk to the owner who was very defensive and told me that my pants were not very good quality. Although I was bummed out, I moved on. Last week I sent my silk blouse for dry-cleaning that I previously only wore 4 times and it has been previously dry-cleaned once at a different location. When I sent the blouse in it was a bright indigo colour and when I got it back it was a faded blue with(again) shiny strikes from the iron. When I asked the owner about it, he told me that my blouse is a poor quality and the dye fades over time. But this shirt was only worn 4 times!!! AND when I dry-cleaned it at a different location it was PERFECTLYFINE. I was mostly disappointed by the fact that the owner did not even want to hear me out and just told me that its my problem. At the end I ended up having to pay for the dry-cleaning(forget about being reimbursed for the ruined blouse). I DONOT recommend this dry-cleaning!

Like a another reviewer said below, this place closes at random times which makes it really inconvenient for picking up or dropping off dry cleaning. The store is closed 50% of the time I try to pick up my clothes during hours they advertise to be open. There has been two different weekends when they out up a sign on the door saying they are closed all weekend. Totally unprofessional for a dry cleaning place. I will never take my dry cleaning there again.

Horrible place, terrible man, has zero clue what customer service is. I don’t care if its cheap I will never be back! First visit he was rude but took my cleaning, on pick up there was a note on the door saying he would be back at 3:30. I waited till 345 and still nothing so I left, only to return the next day to the same sign. On this visit trying to drop off 20 items, He got all pissy, I am not sure why perhaps he didn’t like my type of people. Seriously people go somewhere else.

This place is the cheapest and best value you’ll get in downtown, especially Yaletown, and probably even some in Vancouver. They are fast, and cheap and reliable and it is a cute elderly couple that run the store. This is the only place I will take my drycleaning downtown. They also open at 8am so you can pop in before work!!!

I needed to get a pair of mens dress pants and my winter coat drycleaned, the guy was very friendly, he had it done in 2 days and cost about 30 dollars. I was pleased with the job on my coat, overall qick and painless. Went back for 2 dress shirts that only cost 11 $. If you bring your items before 1 pm you can usually get it done for the next day. I would highly recommend this place to others.

I am not sure what the going rate for dry cleaning is around Yaletown so can’t really comment on the prices here at Mia’s. What I can comment on is the service. Alex who owns the dry cleaning place and does the alterations can come across as being little bit gruff but he is a nice guy. We have been using Mia for the past 3+ years and we’ve never had a problem with the service there. I’ve taken in my clothes for hemming and I always get good service and he does a great job on them. When I took my jeans in for hemming and wanted original hemming done, he told me that on these pants, regular hemming would look better. I was bit skeptical but I went with his idea since he knows this stuff better than me. And surely enough, it looked great and cost less too. It is conveniently located near Nester’s and Starbucks.

In all seriousness… this is the first dry-cleaner in Vancouver(at least in Yaletown) where I do not feel they are ripping people off. I have been going to Money’s for a while but after they wanted to charge me 16 $ to dry clean my sweater because they consider it a jacket(just because it has a zipper, I paid 6.90 $ at MIa’s!) and refused to even touch my coat(‘we don’t clean such expensive things’ — wtf???) I was looking for a new cleaner that earns my business. The guy at Mia’s is really helpful, knows his stuff and provides great service. So far I only had dry-clean to drop off so I can’t comment on the alteration part. I paid 39 $ for a bunch of stuff that would have cost me about 60 $ at all the other places i tried here in YT. Definitely coming back here! Cheers –S
