I love this place! They serve my favourite chicken and waffles because the chicken is super crispy and the jam is freshly made. Waffles are not soggy and I love sitting on the patio because it has heater lamps and is a great place to people watch! Service is impeccable when they’re not too busy, very attentive. And they never rush you out even if you have finished your meal and just want to stay and chat with your friends. Not only do they have a good brunch menu, they also have a delicious regular menu too. I love the chicken wrap with the delicious chipotle sauce yum!

We had the Havana mussels and the frites. Food was tasty. We sat outside under the heat lamps while it poured! We stayed dry and cozy. Service was friendly but a bit slow. I would recommend this place to friends.

The sangria is great for the drinker who doesn’t like the taste of alcohol but not so much for someone looking for something boozier. I really like the ropa vieja and I always get the truffle fries to share. A warning about the tuna ceviche though, it’s kind of strange, never had tuna ceviche taste like that before.

This is the best fish tacos in the city! Mike the bar tender is the reason for the five star rating! He was AWESOME. I visited two weeks prior, and they remembered what i drink, and brought it without asking. Great spot

The guac, salsa, and chips here are off the hook. All tastes homemade. Ditto for the spicy prawns. Great service, friendly waitresses, beautiful day on the patio. I’ll definitely be back to Havana to try out more of the menu. This was strictly a lazy Saturday afternoon patio Appies and drinks adventure.

We got takeout from this spot when we stayed nearby just a couple of streets down. Did not disappoint. Here’s what we got: ropa vieja– tasty tender beef, not overcooked. Instant favorite. medianoche– Solid offering– packed with goodies– you will get full on this. truffle fries– OMG out of this world good. Traveling with an infant(at the time) made this place a lifesaver.

2 friends and I decided to come to Havana when our original plans fell through. Initially we sat on the patio but realized it was hotter than we thought so our server was nice enough to re-seat us inside. I ordered the jambalaya which was tasty and quite spicy. The server warned me but I can take the heat… this dish had some residual heat that just sneaks up on you so beware! I was actually most impressed with my friends enchilada and will order that the next time I visit!

I had to leave. I had to shuffle my belongings and abandon the menu and the water, sparkling with ice cubes. I had to, because the staff was so rude, so unbearably rude during one of the hottest days of the year, that I felt I had no choice but to abandon my table and go elsewhere. My server approached, and asked me about what I would like to drink, blurting out a slew of specials, including some caveat on «original mojito». When I asked for a clarification, she turned to me with disdainful look, grimaced, and pointed to the menu only to continue explaining to me that I am an idiot. You see, my question, menu unseen, my daring response, prompted a lesson in reading. You see, her finger trailed across the mojito menu, because I dared ask questions. Her rage was overwhelming. My sorrow swelling in my chest, I had to get up and get out of there. No, I will not come back. No, I will never try your delicious mojitos, original or otherwise. No, I will not enjoy any of your fantastic meals, because your staff is horrible, patronizing, insulting. NO! I will not resort to scorn, because I have only one life to live. But please, for goodness sake, please talk to your servers so that us, the groveling wallets that you take pity on by sharing your plenty with, can actually sit down, and ask an occasional question.

I decided to try this place duo to so many good reviews from elite members and I totally agree with them. This is a great choice for having brunch around commercial drive or even downtown Vancouver since it is not far. They have a menu with a fair amount of choices including tapas, tacos, eggs Benedict, enchilada, pasta, salads etc. All the dishes that we saw coming from the kitchen looked delicious and well presented. I had a very good crab benny. The crab cake that came in this dish was very tasty! As dessert, I tried white and dark mousse and tres leches with coconut flakes. Both were delicious as well. Great staff, easy location and very cozy patio outside!

Nice patio! The food was quite bland — had the cod tacos, the fish itself was cooked really well but everything else did not have much flavour. Their sangrias were really good!

Patio time with friends! It’s a nice summer afternoon on a Friday after work! What do u do? Why go to the patio and drink sangria! Ok I was disappointed because having a few limes and strawberries does not a good sangria make. Now don’t get me wrong there was generous amount of wine on there and the plunger was fun to play with to mix drinks but when I imagine sangria I imagine berries, lots of fruits and such. Now the garlic aoili fries? Amazing! Very garlic cream flavour! A must have!

The different kinda of mojitos and sangria are enticing, but I recommend stick with the regular sangria. The rest are just distractions. Ambiance is really the thing here. Go for the patio(worth the wait) and the sangria. As far as foods, appies are great to share. Other than that, I’m not sold on their mains. Also, I’m usually a fan of plantain chips, but for some reason the tostones just make me feel kinda gross.

Very tasty food. Came on a late night and there was still a wait even if it was way past dinner time. Most of the items are on the higher end so prepare to pay at least $ 20 tax and tip for just the food. We were there for dinner and I wish we were there for breakfast because their breakfast menu looks delicious! I had the mussels. For $ 17 I was a little disappointed it didn’t include even a small piece of bread and had to pay $ 2 extra for bread but it was worth it because that sauce is so die for… I contemplated on taking it home to drink haha. It’s pretty big so could definitely seat a large party for a fun girls night out but also nice for a date night. Parking was kind of a mess around the area so I suggest to drop off your party put your name down and find a spot to save time.

A few times back when my mom and I took a trip to Vancouver, we decided to stop in here before we left the city. She had been here previously and enjoyed it. And I’ve gotta say, I did too! I decided upon the chorizo hash, as I am an absolute sucker for anything containing chorizo. I just love the stuff. It didn’t disappoint. However, I wished I had a second stomach when I looked at the menu again and saw that there was an option for the stuffed french toast complete with whipped cream and Cap’n Crunch and more… Guess I know what I will be indulging in next time I come back. The place was busy, but it was a weekend. We were still served quite promptly. Sort of a vintage-y vibe inside that I dug. If I’m back in Van and near Commercial Drive, I’ll be popping in for sure!

Havana is such a nice place with a cosy atmosphere:) the rustic vintage interior gives it a very cool vibe. I’ve ordered the veggie benny for breakfast every time and it is amazing! If you are a chai tea person you should also try their chai tea latte that comes in a cup that more of a bowl size than cup size:)

Pitchers of Sangria, Nachos, and Burgers. Who could ask for more? This place is amazingly famous for these three things! I come here mostly on a weekend evening, so I haven’t had their brunch yet. But I would come back here sometime in the future and try that too. Came on a weekend evening for a lot of sangria, and I drank a lot. All I remember was that the Sangria was delicious and me and my friends were having the best time ever. And the best Sangria that we had was the Strawberry Lemonade and the Rojo Sangria. There is also a really hot waiter here as well, since our whole table has been eyeing at him that night. And we ended off the night with a nice walk through the park across the street, and played on the jungle gym, being kids again. Love it here, and will be coming back again for brunch!

Havana has one of the best patios in the city. It’s always drenched in sunlight, has a ton of space(although it’s always packed!), and being opposite the park gives great people watching opportunities. Plus it’s heated for those colder days! I love Havana for a late brunch, as it’s the best time I’ve found to snag a patio spot. Plus then you can order a pitcher of sangria or mojitos and enjoy the afternoon! The drinks are really great, and the variety of flavours for the sangria and mojitos means I’ve tried a different one almost every visit! I do wish the beer list were better, as I rarely feel excited when I ask what their seasonal is. My favourite dish is the huevos, no question. I’ve also recently discovered that they’re happy to switch out the third egg for some guacamole, which totally turns it up to 11! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, which is particularly impressive given the fact that Havana never seems to have a slow time! The food is pretty pricey, but it’s consistently well made and very tasty so I can’t complain! I’m a big fan of Havana, just come prepared to wait if you want to sit outside, and get ready for an amazing pitcher of delicious cocktails!

Came here 3 times over 2 weeks, as some friends were visiting Vancouver, and Havana was just around the corner from them. The atmosphere is nice and fun, and pretty busy! The sangria and mojitos are around 8.50/glass, or around 25/pitcher, but they are pretty tasty! The sangria is served in a tall glass, so you do get quite a bit compared to other places. I think I liked having brunch here the best — I had the huevos rancheros, which came with 3 eggs… it was tasty, though would liked to have had some guac on the side. Our final dinner there was alright. The company was great though! But I tried the tuna tacos, 26″ soft tacos for $ 13. I gotta say, they really packed the tacos full of fish, and I know this probably sounds a bit picky, but I felt it was too much fish for the bite — and this is coming from a person who eats sushi 3 – 4 times a week! Flavorwise, it was a bit lacking. the cubes of fish were pretty big(and I admit, generously portioned). But taking a bite felt like puting 2 slabs of sashimi in your mouth, and while I do enjoy raw fish, i felt this was a bit too much for me. I think the dish needed a bit more flavor, or a bit more acid to it. All in all, its a fun location, but the service is a bit inconsistent!
