This has been one of my favourite places for drinks, food and socializing for the last three years but it has gone downhill a bit lately! There is a new GM so I’m hoping she can revive the place!!!

I heard the food was disgusting so I only drink when I’m there. Cant confirm the rumor. Cheap beverages and friendly service. Loud environment but that is expected for a sport bar.

Looked so promising for happy hour but it ain’t all that. Not all appys are ½ off as the sign implies. Instead only a few things: Chilli chicken yum ordered and reordered Green beans too much sauce Poutine ok Yam fries meh Steak and mushroom really tough Fried pickle ok The drink specials Aldo doesn’t start till 5pm so the drink and appys have different time on specials which is weird. Value 2⁄5 Atmosphere 2⁄5 bathroom is gross Service 2⁄5 slow Quality 2⁄5 8⁄20

The 15% off Unilocal discount offered on Unilocal was not honored so we had a beer and left. The manager had no clue the offer existed and the only reason I knew about it was because it was faster to get their menu off Unilocal than wait for one to come to our table. We were looking for steaks and after checking out Unilocal reviews we decided not to trust them with our dinners. Still searching for a steak in Vancouver worth digesting.

Service was slow. Food could have been bearable if it was hot… but it wasn’t. Not going to bother going back. If I recall correctly, this place has been here for a while… must make their money on new patrons, because I can’t see them having many regulars.

Disappointing food and super disappointing service. Servers were not friendly, did not greet us, and took forever to take our orders. Our food took no less than 30 minutes coming out of the kitchen and wasn’t good at all. I feel like I would’ve gotten better tasting and cheaper food down the street at McDonalds. While we were waiting for our food, we saw the servers turn away A LOT of people, most of them nicely-sized groups of people, which we found really weird for a quiet Monday. You’d think they’d welcome the business? One of the groups we saw come in wanted to put their tables together so that they could sit close to each other(again, keep in mind, the restaurant was more than 90% EMPTY… it was just my group of friends plus another 2 couples in the entire restaurant) and one of the servers shuffled the group away while loudly exclaiming«NO, YOUCANNOTMOVETHETABLES! YOULEAVETHETABLESWHERETHEYARE!» I was proud to see the group walk right out, which is exactly what I would’ve done if someone spoke so rudely to me like that. All in all I would never recommend this place to anyone.

TERRIBLE service. Worst I’ve received in a very long time. Was BLATANTLY ignored by staff numerous times. Our server barely came around. Asked another server to tell him to get our bills and watched her walk out the front door and begin chatting with people. Asked another server to do the same and her response was, «can’t you ask him?». I highly recommend AVOIDING this place. I will NEVER go back.(The live music was also not good.) If we were not in a rush to leave I would have asked to speak with the manager.

Bad Service right from the beginning, the SOCALLEDHOSTESS literally ignored me, we asked if we could sat down in the patio which was fine. waited for a waitress for 10−15minutes and finally my boyfriend gave the SOCALLEDBARTENDER a dirty look just so we can have their attention(waitresses just kept passing by not anticipating who/which guest needed to be serve) so the bartender came over to take our order, made our drinks and delivered our order) afte 10 – 15 minutes drinks are finished we still doesnt know who is our server. Waitresses kept passing by and again my boyfriend HAVE to get their attention they(workers) seem so busy chatting with co workers… the other waitress said our server is busy so she will get our order so 2 drinks and 2 shots and drinks were delivered but not the shots so we told the other waitress and she said the other waitress forgot to tell the bartender and so bartender apologized and gave our shots free of charge… I had the lime margarita and tasted«OLDLIME like rotten lime. i know what a Margarita should taste like and the one he made was the worst i had ever» we will never go back ever again… im writing this review because i feel bad of the owner, employees are unprofessional and doesnt seem to care about the business. Bad review after Bad review.

Had been here before, and the food/service was OK so we came back once more… but never again. It was horrible! To start off we only saw our waitress when she took our order, then another waitress brought out or food– which was wrong and they brought our appetizers with our main courses. By the time we ate our apps the main food was cold. Who does this? The whole point of ordering appetizers is for it to come BEFORE the main food. They also messed up on one of the main courses foods and brought out a side dish that we said we could not have due to severe allergies! Anyways at this point we still had not seen our original waitress and were only getting help from other random waitresses. Our bill came and they charged us the whole price of the one main dish even though we had specifically said we could NOT have the side dish due to allergies, so after complaint and very rude response from the waitress FINALLY we got a discount. All in all, the wait staff was rude, they were dumb, tried using the excuse that our original waitress that we only saw 2x was new so that is why she was messing up(if so then have someone shadow her!!!) They got no tip, and we are never going back. Such a waste of money. Walk 3 blocks from here to go to St. Regis’ bar and grill!!! Same $$ way better food, staff, and atmosphere!!!

Tried going here twice in the last two days. Bad service before you even get seated. It’s like they are actively trying to avoid your business. I get that you’re busy but …

This is one of our locals for going to watch the hockey, the atmosphere is always good! the drinks and food are fairly price too! the only problem is it can get quite crowded and you can find it hard to all sit together as on match nights there are always large crowds. So if you want to watch the match its great, if you are just looking to have food and aren’t interest in hockey i would go somewhere else on match nights as it can become very loud and rowdy! for lunch or no match nights its still a great place to get a drink and food with friends. The serves are always friendly and upbeat! i would defiantly recommend! they also have a patio which looks like it will be great in the summer.

CHECKYOURBILLTOMAKESUREYOU’REBILLEDPROPERLY! We came here for the Super Bowl. Food is marginal. You can get better food at just about any other bar downtown. Now, why I would never come back is the service. Happy Hour Specials are 3pm — 6pm. We arrived at 2:15pm. Asked just after 2:30pm if we could place our orders early and they could serve it after 3pm. First answer: no. Ok, I understand. Our waitress comes back at about 2:50pm and says she’ll take our orders and then enter them at 3pm. Great! 3.5 hours later, we get the bill, and our appies were 90% rang in at full price. «Oh, I don’t know what happened there. Let me check that for you…» Comes back. «Oh, I rang it in just before 3pm so the computer hadn’t changed yet». Ok. Fine. Maybe an honest mistake, but we got the feeling it was rang in early on purpose in hopes that we wouldn’t notice. Bigger bill, bigger tip. She did fix the bill, but knowing you took our orders early and that the computer changes price automatically for happy hour, you would make sure you’d put in the order after 3pm. Not only that, you would check the bill before putting it in front of the customer knowing you just worked happy hour and appies are half price. I guess we got that sketchy vibe because it appears the people who«won» the raffle prizes seemed to be the friends of staff. The bill was fixed, but the experience left us with sour taste. Won’t be coming back. Diners beware.

Not wanting to go to the Lions game at BC Place too early before tip-off we needed a place that wouldn’t take our wallets for a ride like the vendors in the stadium. The area was busy, as like any game day, and we ventured up Robson, away from the stadium into this place, and this place didn’t look like it had any line-up, yet it was busy. We walked in, and some were already getting up and out of here with their orange Lion jerseys on, liquored up, ready to go into the game. Eventually we were seated, and probably in the worst spot, right in the corner, up against the wall, right below our goalie of old(Luongo team Canada jersey) overlooking us. Once we were seated the menu’s came quite quick, just the wait to flag someone down to take our order was a whole other story. Before I continue on to my stay here, for such a short time. but felt like an eternity, let me tell you that this place is a sports bar, wherever you are sitting you will see a screen, some bigger than others, especially the one behind the bar. You will also see many jerseys hung on the walls, and also during a game the staff usually is dressed in the appropriate team color or jersey. The menu is your usual pub fare, filled with appies, pizza, burgers, salads and soups, and some mains… you will get fed here, if that is your intention, and catch a game on the big screen in the process. You can choose to sit inside or out, with tons of seating. Also since it really is in the heart of Vancouver, across from the public library, it’s a pretty good location, you can forget about parking, but if you are wanting to be close to the stadiums and close enough to the main busy districts in downtown, this isn’t bad. My visit here wasn’t too pleasant, from the wait at the door once we arrived as the place was kinda emptying out, we were just standing there, and it seemed like no one wanted to acknowledge our existence. As we finally were sat, there were other tables open, and already cleaned off, and they still put us off in the corner, which was ok until I realized how hard it was to flag down any form of help. There was no-one looking our way, and they looked fully staffed, and as they should be on any game day. Eventually someone came to take our order, and while watching the big screen behind the bar the game we would eventually go to was at kickoff, two drinks were ordered, and as my friend was looking at the menu and wanting to nibble on something(yam fries) the server advised us that there is a backlog on the ordering of food! It would take 35 minutes and upward for this to be prepared… ok what is going on here? Obviously I am here on a bad night… something as simple as fried sticks taking that long… the server did say we can order some tortilla chips and salsa… and we did, this was no consolation prize though as a small bowl of chips and a side serving of salsa, the size of ketchup usually coming to the table with fries, was still about $ 3. It doesn’t take too much time to polish off a drink and some food, and trying to end off the night here was another painful search to flag someone down to bring the bill over. There was no saving grace for this place the time I was here, as it felt like a bunch of rookies were working on this night, help. as I see it. was there. but inefficient, even with my arm waving up in the air like I was putting out a fire… it just wasn’t happening. I hope the next time I somehow am in here it will be better than what was.

Happy hour specials are good. The green beans are borderline awful, they are over done, soggy and the sauce is watery. The truffle fries were cold and the oil overpowered the aroma and taste. Martinis were good. I’d come back for drinks but food not good.

Had the poutine($ 5 during happy hour, $ 10 otherwise). Actually quite filling! Definitely one of the best happy hour deals out at this place. Decent amount of cheese curds, and interesting sauce as well.

My best friend and I have been here a few times when seeing a show at the QE or Orpheum and we need to satisfy our nacho craving. Depending on how busy it is(show time) service can be hit and miss. A little over priced for nachos, however, it is what it is and it is good for sharing when your stomach is raging.

I came here with a group of my class mates after school one day. We arrived at around 2pm so it wasn’t quite happy hour time yet(3−6pm) which selected appies are priced at 50% off. Amongst the 7 of us we ordered 4 pints of beer, Budweiser Crown, and 3 other ones which I don’t remember, Nachos($ 16) and fish & chips. Oh and we each got a shot of Tequila. The beer glasses were chilled and very clean. The service was fast and attentive. I have to give our waitress credits because she was honestly amazingly attentive. We were behaving like a bunch of loud high schoolers and were getting increasing roudy as the intake of beer increased. She kept her cool and smiles and treated us with respect as if we were sober mature adults. Service is a solid 5. The food wasn’t bad either. I can’t comment on fish & chips because I didn’t have any. We got a Nachos and it was GIGANTIC! The corn tortilla was fresh, crispy, and not at all oily/greasy. The cheese was evenly layered and not just bunched up at the top. We added additional chicken and the chicken cubes were good as well, not dry at all. I found out of one of us had his birthday that day. I asked our waitress if we could get a complementary dessert with a candle or a complementary appetizer. She said the house gives out a complementary shot instead. We said that’d be lovely. She gave a grapefruit looking liquid with a good mix of god knows what. Again she was just so nice and kind. Solid 4 stars.

Mediocre food hovering at «overpriced», but(for what you get) OK or a good deal during their 7-days-a-week happy hour. Island Chili Chicken is probably the best pick of the half-off appy menu — slightly sweet sauce on tender chicken coated in crunchy deep-fried crust. Go to Jimmys Tap House for what it is meant to be – a sports bar, not a foodie destination. There are TVs all over the place so wherever you sit, you are likely to get a good view of the game. This also makes Jimmys lousy for date nights and get-togethers with friends(where you’re supposed to be talking and catching up) since the TVs are so omnipresent and distracting.

This is more like a 3.5 than a three, but I’m not sure if it deserves just a 3. It’s unfortunate because the patio is nice but it is SOLOUD(from traffic) that you can hardly hear who you’re dining with when they talk to you. If there was some sort of way to filter that sound out, it’d be awesome. I ordered the burger and fries and the burger was really, really messy. It tasted good, but the mixture of grease and sauces was just silly. The fries were great, though. Love when restaurants have skinny fries. Service was good, but they weren’t aware of their own check in offer on Unilocal. No problem, they gave us a beer off our bill + 10%, which definitely equated to be more than 15%. There’s no reason I wouldn’t come back, but there’s nothing driving me to go, either. It’s one of those places that I’ll go to if someone else suggests it and I’m not in an arguing mood.

Just another sports bar on the East side of Robson with at least 2 TVs per person that makes having conversation hard. The service was ok but the selection of beers and alcohol is just like the million other sports bars in the city… as if this city needs more of these! Save your money and hit the liquor store next door in case you just want a drink.
