She’s been on my bucket list for a while. I was more intrigued by the legend rather than the substance. Her label forced the whole metal queen persona. She later made up for that in the 90’s when she became a jazz musician, something that she’s wanted to do originally. There was a period where she stopped touring in effort to shake her past and make a jazz name for herself, therefore, was surprised that she was open to a PNE gig focusing on her early hits. There aren’t many interviews in circulation post 90’s to see where her head was at career wise. She seemed relatively comfortable with the older metal material thanks to a very strong supporting tight band, one of the best that I’ve seen for a PNE gig. As for Aaron time has treated her well. She’s almost pushing 50 and looks better than some 20 year olds I know. Her vocals were on key and surprisingly strong. It’s a shame she doesn’t seriously do metal package tours. She did play her heart out for the small crowd that was there. She fumbled her way through the stage banter but it came off more genuine. The small audience consisted of a mostly perverted metal nostalgic men that just wanted to see some tits and ass as they remembered it. Good stage chemistry and Lee acted like she genuinely wanted to be there. Sound mix was good.
