Given the neighborhood I understand that this place is supposed to be expensive as with most IGA’s, however, $ 6.27 for Quinoa salad? Only a 3rd was actual Quinoa and the rest was apples which are are heavy, therefore, you pay per 100g but they rip you off by the weight of the apples and barely any Quinoa. I ate the«salad» but I still felt hungry that I went elsewhere.

MARKETPLACEIGA West 41st Vancouver a DIRTYUNCLEANRETAILER. Take a look at their garbage dumpsters area… garbage strewn all around it, a magnet for rodents. Rats and mice easily can enter the store. They have rodent exterminators inside the store because THEYHAVEMICEINSIDETHESTORE ! I have seen the mice. Mice that chew on anything they access. They have to be eating something to be surviving and for exterminators to have to be called in. Grocery, bakery, deli, fruit and vegetables… I would not want to buy anything from that overpriced rip off grocery store so long as there are better, cleaner, healthier and reasonably priced places to shop, and there are plenty. I HAVESAVEDLITERALLYTHOUSANDSOFDOLLARSBYNOTSHOPPINGATTHISSTORE and by shopping elsewhere. There is also a surly, rude, grossly overweight make cashier who is another major reason to not shop at this store. I would not want to have anything in my home touched by his unclean hands, yet the store manager allows him to handle fruit, vegetables and everything else passing through the check out, while customers do not stop to realize what a filthy person is handling their groceries. The manager is frequently seen outside having a cigarette, another reason not to shop at a food store, where the manager is coughing and hacking into his hands and then handles grocery store items while himself stinking of tobacco smoke. Not a credible review website when only the good ones for this store appear, and a bad review is hidden in faint grey text, and noted by Unilocal as being not recommended to be read!

Wished I lived closer to this Marketplace IGA — actually, any IGA will do. And it’s the best place to come buy edible Canadian goods for all my state-side peeps that ask me, so what *can* you bring down for us that we don’t already have? This is your answer my friends! And with a little creativity, you can assemble a cute little basket of your favorite local products. Friendly staff. Decent prices. Large parking lot. Convenient location — right next to the Dunbar/41st bus stop. What more can I say? Just GO.

Friendly service. Even the store clerks are helpfull and courteous. Parking is easy and it’s a great neighborhood. The Dunbar area still has its town charm away form the city but in the city. Even the IGA here has that village type charm. Charm charm. Charm.

The staff at this IGA are friendly, items are organize, floors are nice and clean and the prices for items are reasonably priced. I’m not a big fan of medium sized chain supermarkets, but this is my favourite one.
