Ordered coconut chicken platter. Noodles were barely luke warm, spring roll the same. The chicken didn’t have much flavour and few leaves of iceberg lettuce was the«salad.» The price was over $ 9. after tax and tip. The next day I had lunch at Red Ginger on 967 W. Broadway and for $ 7.95, we had a hot soup, large portion of tender curried pork, proper salad, large bowl of rice and a slice of cantaloupe to finish things off. No comparison. I know food court isn’t the same as your own stand alone restaurant, but if you’re in close competition with other places in the same space, I’d think you’d try very hard to get people to your counter…

Although it’s still nothing compared to a full service Vietnamese Restaurant, I do like how the prices here are a bit cheaper than their predecessor at this location, Vina. The Basil Chicken was fairly tasty here in that it had a strong basil flavour with hints of ginger! Liked how the spring roll was crispy but was a bit on the bland side…(sad face). For 8.40 though, it’s not too expensive, at least for a food court, so may come back in the future.

Another vietnamese restaurant… located inside a mall near where i live, wifi and huge free parking courtesy of the mall. Service is quck and good despite its lunch time and busy, crew uses gloves properly, noise level is high(food court) accept cash and card. quality of food is just right… for lessthan $ 10 i got a spicy basil chicken, fried vietnamese roll, salad and a pop… not bad for a quick lunch… for some reason Vietnamese foods are on my top list… not because im asian but theres something in the way they blend spices and cook their dishes… another satisfied tummy for today lunch…

Not a solid 3.5 stars because it’s the same owner when it was known as Vina’s. Kinda amazing how restauranteurs often do this, just changing up the name adds that excitement but not in this corner ;) Same menu but higher prices, isn’t that sweet… again, no ice coffee served here. Vermicelli and spring rolls are still surprisingly, the go-to for me.
