Got a California Roll, as I thought– a could not go wrong item menu.
Was very disappointed with the freshness, taste and overall quality. Also, the price was more than any other sushi restaurant I have been at.
Instead of the typical 8 pieces, you only got 6, and it was just bad.
Good location, but other than that, wouldn’t go back.

Stopped by here with a guest yesterday. I’m not sure which restaurant fellow reviewer Jacquee went to but this is not a 5 star restaurant?
$ 9.75 for med plate of Sashimi — gets your 3 pieces farmed salmon and 2 pieces of tuna. — LUKEWARM.
Sushi combo plate was completely UNDERWHELMING. — Of the 9 pieces Included, 3 were sparse salmon roe on rice. — WTH???
Flies, poor décor, and items stored on the sides. — What happend to this place?
IF THIS IS «NEW» ASAHI… it sure is a DOWNGRADE!
Actually I seem to remember this place being quite good.
$ 45 lunch for 2 people.
Disappointing and never again.

FRESH fish that is SUPER cheap.
We ordered 8 different rolls and then endless pieces of sake, toro, red tuna, regualar tuna, and red snapper nigiri.
The oysters are amazing too. And cheap.
I wish I could eat toro everyday at least once a day.
The J-​boy waiter here is also super cute.
