Went here New Year’s Eve and had their Veggie Feast for two, which some friends. More than enough food for two people to share… I’m not a big vegetation but really enjoyed this meal. Our server was also very good, she was knowledgeable and honest about what she did and did not like. We will be back!!!

I had a great experience at Nuba — as most people mention«Najib’s Special» is amazing. This is a must-try dish. The rest of the food was ok — and I found a few things outrageously priced. For example: the lamb kafta was tiny and a let down in terms of flavor, and cost $ 6.00. The vibe at the venue itself is unique and fun — the service is nice too.

This place is nice and trendy, love the retro décor, furniture and all. The food is just as colorful and pretty with price to match. Ordered 3 appies and one dessert for two small eaters which fit just fine. It’s good to not eat too much once in a while? Each dish was nicely prepared, all ingredients fresh and distinctive in flavour, colors and aroma. In the beginning less than half the tables were filled, but overall service was rather slow, especially ordering the Quinoa chocolate cake(which is actually a small brownie split in two by a scoop of ice cream) but I think it was baked to order? $ 40 for 4 small dishes, plus complimentary flatbread a bit on the pricey side considering the slower service and small sized foods. Will come again to try other items when hosting.

A big fave and a particular go-to when hosting out of towners. Najib’s Special is a must as far as I’m concerned, but everything is great.

I love love love this place. I could eat the Najib’s Lunch special EVERYSINGLEDAY. No joke. Also, the hummus is super yummy. Recently I tried some new things here for a food challenge I did. Check it out here:

Nuba is the perfect lunch choice for something healthy and so tasty! This location is such great combo of something cosy and retro with very friendly service and helpful service! I love that they are always ok to modify my plate the way I want it :)) My company is a block away so I go there very often and it have never disappointed me!

First impression was a significant lineup of customers at the front door of this restaurant, meaning this has to be a very good spot. There are some great Lebanese delicacies certainly mixed with western fusion and simple presentation here, at a reasonable price. Loved the Turkish coffee, good location and the service was fantastic. Servers go above expectation to explain everything to customers about their food!!! Definitely try, however I do not see myself coming back desperately anytime soon.

First time at this location. food was good. Service was a bit bad and one of the girls was a bit rude. ultimate lamb pita wrap was decent. I would suggest going downtown to the hastings location.

Cute quaint Nuba(a chain restaurant for those who do not know). Tasty food and not far from Main Street. Tasty vegetarian options in addition to the skewers those have come to expect. Chill and relaxed environment which is cute for date nights, families or groups.

I found this gym while waiting at Midis for my car to be fixed. I had the felafel plate(with hummus and taboli), which was fabulous. The décor is like a 1960s Beirut café.(there are other Nuba’s in Vancouver. I have been to the one in Yaletown, but this one is better).

I had high expectations after Nuba restaurants were awarded a recent Golden Plates award, but it sounds like this didn’t apply to this location. The venue itself was cold and not cosy especially on a rainy night. We tried a range dishes with a group of 4 friends but nothing was outstanding especially after having travelled and sampled similar dishes in the Middle East and North Africa. It felt like something was missing(i.e lack of spices, stronger flavours). The selection of drinks were good though with local beers and the waiting staff were courteous and the service was fairly fast. I feel like this is more of a lunchtime place than a dinner one.

Soooooo goooooood! I’ve been to the one on Cambie a handful of times but this is my first foray into the Mount Pleasant location and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken tawook and man, oh man, it tawook my breath away. The chicken was a perfect blend of char and tenderness and it left me feeling nothing less than pure satisfaction. I could go on and on about the chicken but I would be doing a disservice to the rest of the plate. The salad and dressing was immensely delicious, the bread, hummus, and chick peas united to ambush my taste buds with a slathering, crunchy, trifecta of amazement. I had half rice half potatoes with my meal and it left me feeling full but not bloated. I highly recommend going the half and half route. The place was clean and the service quick and friendly. I prefer the ambience of the Cambie location to this one, though any thought of that quickly exited my cranium as soon as the food arrived. If you’ve never been to Nuba, do yourself a favor and go ASAP, unless you aren’t into grilled meat with a side of fuck yeah!

I’ve had two experiences with Café Nuba in mount pleasant and both were lukewarm. They do not take reservations, so planning ahead can be a pain. We’ve shown up and pretty much been turned away since they couldn’t or wouldn’t push two tables together, even though there were all of three tables full. The other time, I didn’t bother with dining in and ordered take out in advance. My receipt clocks my call at 11:10am. I ordered 6 items and let them know that I will be picking up at 1pm. Should be easy right? I walk in at 1pm, like I promised, and there is a lineup. There is no hostess, but there are many other staff. I counted four. There is one poor lady at the cashier trying to pack up take out orders and take payment from diners and take out orders. She walks toward the cash register with a stack of recyclable take out containers(yay Nuba!) that contain my order… I then proceed to wait 10 minutes literally watching my order of food cool down and get soggy while she continues to get through the lineup of people waiting to pay. I’m not ashamed to say that I didn’t leave a tip — that cash went to pay for the car2go I had parked outside while I waited. $ 60 for six appies to share was fair, however the falafel mezze was soggy and dense. If I was not ordering for a vegan, a vegetarian and GF optioned lunch I do not think I would order from here again. I have been to other Nuba locations but this one has proved to be the most finicky for parking and timing. I’ll get my roasted cauliflower and baba ghanouj at other locations, just not this one.

Not having been here in awhile, I got my chance to dine here again and bring my mother with me along. She’s got to be the pickiest eater when it comes to eating out in Vancouver. And to my surprise, she enjoyed her meal! What really made me happy is that I was able to customize my salad to my dietary specs. 5 stars! The price is always a shocker for me, but you get good solid ingredients and the food is consistent. You can’t beat that with any eatery in Richmond. I’m always looking forward to returning to this location. It’s my favourite one, ever since my first introduction at the Unilocal event we had a few years ago. No more than a few years ago. The memories still remain the same and so has the food. That’s a tasty thing.

Probably one of my goto restaurant for a quick healthy and nutritious meal. Servic wish always on point here. Water always filled and pita always refilled. If you are coming with 2 people Ll you need to order is the Le petite feast for 2. Starts off with a eggplant and hummus dip. Very generous portions. Then a plate of some of their popular assorted dishes perfect for sharing. If you don’t eat much like us this is perfect. I hits the spot everytime.

This location is adorable. It feels like a lovely mix of old school cafeteria and super hip retro kitchen. Oh those tables! Same menu as the other locations, full of many delicious choices. But all you should be caring about is the Najib’s Special. That cauliflower is to die for. Get it on the lunch plate and then congratulate yourself on a job well done. The pickled cabbage! The hummus! And so on! The service was extra friendly and really quick. these peeps know how to do lunch. On your way out be sure to grab some treats from the fridge to keep the dream alive at home. What is in that hummus? Dreams? MAN, IT’S GOOD! PS: Nuba if you hear me, hook a sister up with one of those dining tables.

This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver! This location is in my neighbourhood and is fast becoming one of my go-to’s for delicious lunch/dinner meeting. Come hungry! Portions are pretty amazing :) The staff are sweethearts and the food is always awesome. My recommendations are Najibs Special — amazing cauliflower that’s zesty and cooked perfectly. I also love their Fattoush Salad, topped with toasted pita. Mmmm. YUM!

We were really excited to try this«Nuba» chain restaurant in Vancouver. I’ve walked by the Nuba in Gastown a few times, and decided to come to the Mt. Pleasant one since we were nearby this morning. — Décor: interesting geometric shapes dominate the scene(wall, counter, etc) — Service: excellent service girl, we came in on a Sunday around noon and there’s only another table occupied. She took the time to explain the dishes and specials to us, and made some recommendations. Excellent service there when they are slow for sure. — Food: + Najib’s special wrap with crispy cauliflower and various marinate($ 8.95): the salad in the wrap is fridge cold, I am sure it’d be perfect in the middle of the summer but did contrast drastically with the warm Falafel balls + cauliflower. Not enough of the main ingredient cauliflower to get much of a taste in the whole wrap, and they were definitely not crispy. + Chicken Twook — 2 chicken meat skewers plate with salad, rice/roasted potato, hummus($ 13.50): the chicken skewers are small compared to other middle eastern restaurants I’ve been to,(amount is probably equal to a large on else where). HUMMUS is EXCELLENT, creamy, tasty, enough Tahini in it, though not very much of it again. Roasted potato is a bit sad, I am not sure but could be done beforehand and reheated now? + sides of Hummus, Tabbouleh, Baba Ganouj, Majdra, etc, are all $ 5 + fresh juice offered $ 4 – 7 dep. on size so overall, the food didn’t impress, while the décor/concept and services are excellent, also it’s a bit pricey for comparable food in other middle eastern shops. I am not enough of an expert to know if Lebanese is that much different than the other Falafel shops, but a tad bit pricey, especially this one is obviously sitting in an industrial part of town(though only 2 streets walk away from Creek Side/Olympic village community). I think will try gastown or Kitsilano chains next time instead.

A little vegan stew/pinot grigio lunch action always does good things for the soul. I’m epically disappointed in myself that I didn’t know of this Café Nuba. I’ve been into the one downtown but Main &3rd — you’ve been holding out on me! Excellent location for this little Main St sweetheart to lunch date it up. The vegan stew was excellent and just the right amount for lunch fullness without a «roll me out of here» finish. The salad that accompanied it was also fresh and crisp, even after I mistakenly dumped my hot sauce all over it(every, freakin, time). Well priced wine, quiet atmosphere, easy parking — service was polite and quick. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. Café Nuba, it may have taken me too long to find you, but i’ll see you again soon!
