Good spot for a quick taste of something different. Get the Cauliflower, hands down best dish on the menu!

Came back after having a sit-in lunch where I had the taewook special to try a takeout of their najib’s special in a pita. I was weary at first of how the cauliflower would be inside a wrap and whether or not it would be filling but boy was my worries for nothing! The cauliflower was perfect substituting meat inside the wrap. The texture of the cauliflower itself makes me keep thinking I’m eating a mushroom wrap. It was absolutely delicious for lunch!

Visiting Vancouver from the States, we had tickets to see the Canucks game. After parking, we headed up to find some food before the game. Happily, we found Nuba. The food was excellent. The red lentil soup was perfect on a cool winter night, and the salads had a great mixture of flavors and textures. It’s excellent value for money, and the service was incredibly friendly and polite, even by Canadian standards. Highly recommended.

Excellent location for a delicious and quick lunch. Best described as convenient and wholesome Lebanese food that’s healthy and very flavourful. One of the few Yaletown places where you can pick up Vegan or Veggie food that isn’t a bowl of $ 14 leaves(here’s looking at you ever Vancouver bar). The pretty simple menu offers all options in either Plate or Pitta form. I highly recommend the Mjadra(lentils, rice, onions, jalapeño, and avocado) in either form. The only gripe — there’s no real hot sauce option. I learnt whilst skewing my diet toward Vegan choices that good condiments lift Vegan options. Not that Nuba foos isn’t delicious on its own, it is, but a little hot sauce is always welcome. As it is, their house hot sauce is more zesty that spicy.

Will be back for sure! The falafel was fantastic and the service was great. Always go for take out and is fresh.

I enjoyed the Chicken Shish Tawook and its companions, and felt very healthy through it all. So many colours on one plate must be healthy, right? The interior is pretty small in the Yaletown location, so be prepared to wait for a table or squeeze in on the standing bar. The staff were friendly and the food came pretty quickly. Definitely worth checking this place out if you enjoy Lebanese food and a casual atmosphere.

This will be my 3rd time going to nuba. It was my first time at the kits location. Food was Awsome. I always get the fried cauliflower and the lamb. Really interesting atmosphere as well and the waitresses were very helpful. I’ll be coming back forsure.

OK food, horrible customer service: one time, my wife and I had the lamb koft; we enjoyed it, but everything was too dry. Another time, I came in and waited for a good seven minutes while a Japanese server actively ignored me. I am never again coming back to this place.

I went here for take-out and ordered their Chicken Tawook plate($ 13.5). While the veggies and hummus were fresh and the chicken were grilled right, I felt that the price was too expensive for basically 2 pieces of skewers and a salad plate. The taste itself was just ok, not mind-blowing. The good thing is the service was fast. I got my food within 5 minutes of ordering during their a weekday dinner time.

Had the eggplant main and the chicken main. They were very good but a little over priced. The table wasn’t stable and the light was a bit too dark.

The Red Lentil Soup was simply wonderful! It was very well balanced, hot and deftly spiced. Do not forget to put a squeeze of lemon in it. Makes it bright. The grilled chicken salad was GREAT! What a super fresh and nutritious, tasty dish. I did not even use my dressing it was so good. The chicken skewers were done to perfection. Olives and feta were a great contrast to the slight bitter of the fresh field greens. I normally don’t go right back to the same restaurant for the same dish, but I may just have to do it. BTW — everything coming out of the kitchen was looking great. Service was the most friendly I have had in Vancouver. The only ding is the dining room is small, so I felt a bit rushed to make room for other dinners who were standing in the doorway. Great Job!

Just the best lunch. Healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced. The guy who works here at lunchtimes is especially nice! He’s genuinely pleased to see everyone who comes in and is really helpful. I nearly always have Najib’s special plate. Who knew cauliflower could taste so good? I find it’s a pretty generous lunch portion, with salad, potatoes, flatbread, hummus, olives and the magical baked cauliflower. The wraps and soup are also pretty tasty.

Its a hole-in-the-wall and easy to miss. I usually come for a take out lunch. Having just found out they opened until 9pm, I decided to introduce it to my hubby, who kept thinking it would be like their Gastown sit down restaurant. He was only in the mood for a quick dinner and I assured him this location was more fast-food/self-serve style but would still have the same good tasting food. They have a few tables there and not too cramped or busy so we were able to park our stroller with baby against the table. There were only 2 people working: the chef and the cashier. They were friendly and looked like they enjoyed being there. The food tasted pretty good and fresh. The amount of veggies they put into my chicken tawook pita satisfied my veggie needs, the chicken was well flavoured with a bit of a crunch from the grilling but still moist, and it was a good sized pita for $ 9.75+tax. I also had their cauliflower-zucchini soup which was a bit bland and could use some salt, but I left it as is since it felt healthier that way and so baby could try some. I also like the cucumber slices in their self-serve water– nice touch. Overall, dinner took less than an hour and we all left satisfied.

I ordered the chicken tawook in a pita. Overall it was a tasty. You could taste the charcoal on the chicken, my absolute favorite! However I found that the chef put too many pickled vegetables in, making the pita very wet and soggy. I ended up finishing the pita with a knife and fork because it would fall apart in my hands. My sister ordered the garden falafel in a pita. I had a bite of the falafel and found it delicious. I found that the Seymour location restaurant was a bit small. The restaurant only seats about 15 people but you can always get your meal to go.

I went here with my wife for dinner and we both liked it a lot. We went here cause of the good reviews on Unilocal. I had the beef shish kabob plate and my wife had the falafel pita. Food was really tasty, flavorful Mediterranean. My only complaint is that all they have to drink is orangina and pellegrino water. They need more variety with drinks. Also, you should know that they only have 4 tables. You may have to get your meal to go cause there may be no place to sit.

This place offers a variety of healthier choices. Also, if you get a plate, you can get rice or potatoes, or even swap out the hummus for the baba ghanouj. But besides being a good place to grab some quick takeout, and eat a healthier meal, it’s nothing really special. If you are visiting from out of town, I would say it’s not worth the time and effort. Also, for what you get I’d say it’s slightly over priced. In my opinion you can find something tastier and more interesting somewhere else, and even in the same neighbourhood.

I love this place. I love their cauliflower, lamb, chicken, beef, falafel, hummus… yup everything. I think it’s so fresh and tasty. I can’t ever get enough of the najib’s(Cauliflower) wrap!
