Um, I am in love with Oceandrive Leather. This leather apparel company is owned by the Christensen brothers, who are based out of Vancouver. They are accomplished designers of leather apparel and offer the convenience of online shopping by you first selecting a style, filling out a measurement chart, and then making a deposit(50% of the jacket price). You get your order in about 4 – 8 weeks, depending on the season. They offer both men and women jackets, and my absolutely favorite is the Swan/Shearling — it has a detachable lush hoodie, made out of lamb shearling, and comes in either brown or black(custom colors are also available during specific seasons). If you’re looking for a high quality, legit, made-to-fit-well/pefectly leather jacket that will last for a lifetime, check Oceandrive out! You won’t be disappointed! :D +customized leather apparel! :D

The first time you try on a tailored garment, whether it be a shirt, a suit, or a leather jacket, you end up being spoiled for life. Never again will you be able to wear another off-the-rack garment and look at it the same way again. Oceandrive Leather manages to accomplish the impossible for me, and gave me a tailored leather jacket that put all my prior, tailored leather jackets to shame. Now I consider myself of something of a fan of outerwear, having more jackets than I do closet space. In my very eclectic collection, I’ve frequented designers from Jonathan Logan to Tony Nowak to get that perfect leather jacket made especially for me, and while I always find something to love in each jacket, I’ve never been able to find the one that would satisfy that itch. But the first time I slid on my first Oceandrive jacket, I just knew that I finally found the perfect jacket. Darryl and Keith, the owners of ODL, are perhaps the nicest and most genuine designers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and they are always more than happy to accommodate any requests I’ve made, as well as offering actual thought-out suggestions. These guys, after all, are designers first and foremost, and their pieces do reflect that strikingly unique take on fashion-forward leather designs. While their jackets tend to be on the pricier side(expect to spend upwards of CA$ 1k), and while their fitting muslins are priced the same as an off-the-rack department store jacket(approx. CA$ 150), this is one of the very few businesses where the cost is not going towards a brand name or a prestige(not to sell them short though), but rather towards a decadently luxurious leather jacket stuffed with quality and an amazing attention to detail. I can’t recommend ODL enough, and although I do hate them for ruining other leather jacket designers for me, I can’t imagine another designer I’d ever want to go to for my next jacket. And yes, although I’ve found that perfect jacket, perfection demands an encore.
