I love that black wild rice comes by default. I’ve always had a thing for black wild rice, so the fact that I can have this as a sushi option is an added plus for me. I haven’t tried many items on the menu, but I definitely recommend Odo Sushi. It’s a typical korean owned sushi joint — so expect your spicy tuna or spicy salmon made with the typical gochujang. I highly recommend getting the udon special that they have — it gets you 2 rolls + one small udon that basically acts as a fancier version of a miso soup to wash everything down. Great for lunch!

OdOMG! Black rice used in sushi rolls! Fresh fish, cheap prices, and a fair amount of food for their udon combo!(two rolls of sushi and a bowl of udon for $ 8!) The place isn’t that big, and we went soon after they opened for the evening. I was surprised the place wasn’t packed from the start! Lots of customers coming and going, with many picking up their orders. Service was pretty attentive, and everything tasted great! The perfect spot for a quick bite!

Currently one of my to-go places for my sushi fix. It’s quite small, but I love that they do black rice on their rolls and cones without the extra charge! Salmon and Tuna is just how I like it! However their spicy salmon sushi isn’t the best. The hot sauce is great in their spicy salmon cone I always order it with extra NOT on the side it’s not the same hot sauce. Still looking for a sushi resturant that has spicy salmon sashimi comparable to Sushi Kimura’s but no luck yet. This place is still really damn good though!

Black rice comes by default, and was highlight for me. Salmon nigiri was super fresh and very soft. Highly recommend the smoked salmon. Décor leaves a bit to be desired and the smell of the fryer is quite strong. Minus one star for service and ambiance.

Literally my favorite sushi place on Vancouver, everything is so fresh and delicious even the simplest rolls. Also it’s very cheap for the quality of sushi you get.

Tasty sushi, great prices. I got all vegetable sushi and some was only $ 2! Highly recommend the gomae roll and mango roll. The bean curd nigiri left a little to be desired. But everything tasted better because of the black rice! Great service too.

My favourite sushi spot !!! Must try their specialty rolls, they are awesome!!! Service is always good. If ordering salmon opt for the upgrade for sockeye, worth it! Only reason I give 4 not 5 would be for their miso soup, wish it had tofu or seaweed or green onion. And the décor could use an update. But the rolls and tempura are AWESOME! nice little hole in the wall

It’s hard to find a decent sushi restaurant in the crosstown neighbourhood but we liked Odo Sushi. Really enjoyed the black rice and the rolls were a good portion. Sashimi pieces were smaller than most places. Quick and attentive service.

Probably my favorite sushi place in all of Vancouver since it broke all standards I am accustomed to in the states. Typically, sushi restaurants are associated with being a bit pricier, more upscale, and taking some time to perfect. Odo was a small sushi joint with maybe 15 seats, had no sort of pretentious air to the place, and was insanely fast. We ordered a couple rolls and a sushi sashimi combo plate. The entire thing came in less than 8 minutes and was super cheap. The black rice they used might have been good for my health but I didn’t notice because I think it enhanced the meal. The fish was super fresh and the size of a Texas steak, not sashimi. Loved it here and sad I only found it on my last day in Vancouver.

Decent if you are getting rolls for take out. They have some good combo options and sushi trays and the black rice is kind of neat! Not much in the sense of décor or atmosphere in the restaurant and the miso soup is bland with no additions.

My girlfriend and I went to this place for a quick lunch. This place is a typical Japanese sushi and no much unique décor to be mentioned. On that afternoon, we ordered the Sashimi Bento box and Agedashi Tofu. The tuna & salmon sashimi were at their borderline of freshness but still edible. The tempura were poorly made with thick coating of batters and miso soup with no tofu or seaweed in the soup. Overall, the bento box was one of the worst dish that I ever have in Vancouver. The Agedashi tofu was a little better but still poorly cooked. The tofu was under-seasoned and it was ‘old’ tofu from the fridge. Overall, I would stay away from this place and wait in-line at the other sushi place across the street. p.s Black rice was a bad choice for making sushi and they over-cooked the rice.

Too bad it took so long for me to discover this place. I often shop in the shopping mall opposite, and the food court there is just sad. This is the best non-pub food nearby. I ordered a single cone, which was yummy and spicy, I wasn’t that hungry & would like to return again when I want a full meal. Staff was kind, service was friendly, things were affordable.

Very yummy and reliable, we love that they use black rice for all their rolls! The staff is also very nice, our family loves this place.

Tiny unassuming place with not much atmosphere, but the sushi was delish. They use black rice which was unusual, but really good. I had low expectations, but Odo Sushi really exceeded them! Reasonably priced, too. Recommended.

The sushi was pretty decent, the other food was nothing special and unfortunately service was pretty slow. We came in with a pretty big group and there was only one chef and one waitress, so they had some trouble getting out all of the orders promptly. I had the Black Dragon rolls which I’d definitely recommend. P. S. Do NOT park outside during a Canucks game, they have tiny temporary signs only on one lamppost down the street which informs you of a very specific time window during which you’ll get towed. Which we did.

The black rice is unique, but the volcano and eruption rolls were a disappointing sample of Vancouver’s sushi offering. The menu listed crab and prawns for both rolls, but they really have imitation crab meat and tempura shrimp. If you are looking for a cheap sushi place, this may be a great pick. But I’ll definitely be looking elsewhere for good sushi next time I’m in Vancouver.

Small but great place to grab well-made sushi for lunch:-) Everyone is very nice, and using black rice(or brown rice – upon request) is an added bonus! I also love how they don’t use too much rice for their sushi rolls. Their spicy sauce is more Korean than the other sushi place in the neighbourhood, which is a good thing for a someone like myself.
