I’m not going to lie, this was some damn fine sushi! I came here with Abby S, and we shared some really delicious items: edamame, grilled garlic sablefish, miso soup, spicy tuna, monster roll, and I had a tobiko nigiri. That sounds like a lot of food(and it was!), but the portions are very reasonably sized, so it wasn’t unmanageable. I think for the price they could be a bit bigger, but the flavours are impeccable so I can’t complain! The sablefish was a real highlight — buttery, flavourful, and truly a delight. The monster roll was really tasty, despite being too large for my mouth! The rice on the rolls was a little looser than I like, but the flavours were there. Even the miso soup was tastier than most I’ve had — I don’t know how they did it! The tobiko was a lot paler than I’ve seen before, but tasted just as delicious. The décor is cute and quite cosy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

I like their sushi. Its fresh. Its definitely high quality sushi. I like the fact is that they don’t put too much rice. But I have to say their portion is quite small. I got the combo F and I am still hungry.

Located in Gastown, near the Rogers Arena, this Sushi bar offers a variety of meals for decent prices. Before ordering you always get free tea and the stuff makes sure you never run out of it. Try the green tea ice-cream, you’ll love it”! :) The place gets pretty busy during the evening so make sure you book your table before coming. Another cool thing is that you can see the process of sushi making, there is no separate kitchen room. Dont forget to check out the washrooms, they are pretty cool too.

I went for a work lunch meeting. Service was great, sushi was good and the noise was a good level for semi serious conversation. Had the West Coast, Special BC and Red Heatwave. Thought all were delicious and I will come back for sure. Creative enough menu for everyone to enjoy.

Hmm, this place a little different, in a weird, I kinda liked it way. The sushi rolls were fresh and not too cold or hot, temperature and taste was great! The service was good too. The sauce on one of the rolls was nice, portion size was acceptable as well. At the end of the day, I think it’s highly competitive for sushi in Vancouver and this place kind of fits in the middle, not the best, not the worst. They fit right in and are pretty much average!

Seriously Unilocalers? What a letdown. In a city with SO many sushi options, I was sad we wasted a meal on Tsuki during our 4 day trip. Sushi rolls were small, sloppily made, and unimaginative, prices were higher than they should’ve been, service was subpar(by even Asian standards) and to top it off there was sad/cheesy Christmas music playing in the background. That sums up our mediocre experience there. To reiterate, there is NOREASON to go here for sushi in Vancouver.

I am not a sushi person, as I am allergic to many different random seafoods. I felt rather brave this evening when my girlfriend really wanted sushi. While visiting for vancouver for one night on our road trip we found this small but lovely restaurant. The servers seated us quickly and poured us their brown rice infused green tea, which was great. I worked up the courage to try the tuna nigiri which was amazing! It tasted like a super tender steak with no fishiness. I had about 3 of those, which got better and better. My girlfriend loved her rolls too. Great service, the whole staff acted like a team and were very hospitable.

Sashimi was really fresh. Also, amount of rice for rolls was perfect! The box sushi is amazing! I am a big fan of their box sushi! The server told me that they will make the box sushi(; oshi sushi) party tray soon. I am so excited! All servers were very friendly and polite. They were really take care of allergic stuffs, which is incredible! Customized food, service! Appreciated to all tsuki staff! Great atmosphere! I will definitely go back! New fav place in Van!

Had hopes Tsuki was going to be a gem due to the amount of positive reviews on Unilocal… but it was a bit of a letdown. Ordered the spicy half and half sashimi, yaki saba(grilled), Abbott roll, and special BC roll. Everything was just OK. Nothing special. The portions were much smaller than expected. Overall a bit underwhelming considering the abundance of sushi restaurants that are available in Vancouver.

Food: 4.5÷5 Service: 5⁄5 Ambiance: 5⁄5 Value: 4⁄5 I’m surprised that this is only the 2nd time I’ve been here given that this place is so close to me. Came here last week and it’s definitely a lot better than I remember from the first experience and I will definitely be coming back to check out their unique daily/weekly specials! Green Salad($ 5) Good portion for sharing, fresh veggies and a choice of two types of dressing(I went with their house dressing). Special of the Day — Saba Tataki Fresh, flavourful, and not«fishy». Great balance of salt from the sauce and sour from the pickled red onions. Monster Roll($ 8.5) Crab fish cake, cream cheese, ebi, avocado, cucmber with unagi, masgo, green onion and spicy mayo. SOGOOD. Salmon and tuna sashimi Fresh! West Coast Roll($ 10) Dungeness crab, cucumber, mayo, and smoked salmon on top with lemon. This was definitely not as fresh as the other items we had and the Dungeness crab was overpowered by the smoked salmon. The above was enough for two people who can chow down, even left me a bit too full(rare). Stoked to come back to try the other menu items since it’s quite an extensive one!

Came here last night for dinner. Had the«half and half» tuna and salmon sashimi which was pretty good. Also had one of their specials, the saba tataki, which was delicious and didn’t have much of a fishy taste or smell considering it is saba. And ate their Monster and West Coast craft rolls. The Monster I enjoyed which had crab fish cake and cream cheese among other things. The West Coast was quite disappointing. It has Dungeness crab and topped with smoked salmon, but I felt the roll was rather dry and almost seemed like it was left out for a few hours. All in all, it’s a decent sushi joint in the area, but it wouldn’t be somewhere I would go out of my way for.

I was a fan when they first opened about 2 years ago, but this place has taken a nosedive since then. The staff and menu these days have changed quite a bit compared to when they first opened. They offer many Ocean Wise seafood options which is nice and have a big selection of specialty rolls. However, the quality and presentation was lower than expected. Not a bad experience overall but I walked away feeling like it was a bit too expensive for what you get.

Good spot for some fresh sashimi, as I had the Chirashi Don. Each of the pieces of sashimi were tender, fresh and prepared with care. Definitely proportions between sashimi and rice was good — not having you overloaded with rice. Definitely enjoyed sitting at the bar to eat as the chefs will make sure you’re taken care of and one asked how I was enjoying the meal and what I liked. I noted that I really liked the tako(octopus) and he seemed please with that. I put my head back down in devouring my food and when I looked up, he had prepared a tako sashimi dish with a dressing… on the house! Wow. And the tako of course was delicious… even more so cause it was free. =) But definitely a good spot for some sushi, traditional style; not the special roll type of place, but they do their Chirashi don well.

4.5 stars! Very fast service & very friendly staff — including chefs at the bar preparing sushi(which is not always the case!) Delicious, fresh fish ! We had Dynamite roll, Caterpillar & Chirashi bowl — with a perfect balance of sashimi and rice(the latter is often a bit too much compared to the raw fish, well, not here!) Got special cutlery, water and a high-chair for kiddo, too, without even needing to ask for it! 0.5 stars less, because the 2 out of 4 dessert were out — and I so wanted to try the Sesame Crème Brulée or the Green tea Cheese Cake. The other two were ice cream.

My sister and I were visiting Vancouver for the first time and we arrived in the evening. We decided to restaurant hop and started this place first. We ordered nigiri sushi and it tasted fresh and amazing. The presentation was fantastic! The service was fast and the staff were kind. Our server was nice enough to recommend other places to try out as well!

Very affordable sushi. It seems unassuming from the outside of the place, however, upon looking at the menu they have competitive pricing. The décor is nice and clean and hipster. It was nice to walk into a sushi place with some that speak English. Ample seating including a communal table. I had my standard cucumber and avocado roll and I went outside the box and had the plum and mint roll. Sounds good on paper, however, the mint was extremely bitter and sour. I had a hard time finishing it. It was low in calories, I already paid for it and I was hungry, therefore, I ate it, however, it was a struggle and lots of tea. No fault of the kitchen, this is just an acquired taste. Customer service was decent.

Clean, modern and fresh. Tsuki has just the right menu and environment for a casual lunch, dinner, or snack. Prices are reasonable. There are LOTS sushi and rolls on the menu, a few grilled items. My favourite is the deliciously bitter umeshiso roll. If you’re used to larger Japanese restaurants, the menu may seem small because there are no deep fryer items. Features: Licensed. Fresh oyster selection. Daily specials.

Was here for a bite. This place is no different from other sushi places I’ve been to in the past. The only different from this place is they do Aburi for .25 extra per each Nigri sushi. Which is pretty good when you compare it to other places that offer Aburi sushi and it’s like 20 something for like 6 pieces of sushi. Though that’s not what I ordered. I just ordered their special scallop roll and a few pieces of nigri sushi. It was ok. Nothing really special about it. And the pieces of what you get is a bit more that a place like Sushi Den that’s down the road. Would only suggest this place if you want to try out Aburi sushi.

I picked up take out from this place. Our office is close by so felt like having sushi for lunch! Since I do not like the taste of seafood, I did not like the food. But if you are into seafood you will like it. I ordered a dynamite roll and a philly roll. In the dynamite roll instead of fryed prawns, they had shrimp. I was so upset. I had been craving sushi. It was pricey as well and i did not get full from it! The restaurant is so gorgeous and so calm inside. The servers were super nice!

Wow their sushi is really good! It’s quite pricey for lunch but definitely worth it. I came in with my friend last week for lunch thinking that we would have a cheap meal but we ended up paying around $ 15 each, walking out with fairly empty stomachs. Don’t get me wrong though! The sushi was really good but just very pricey. I paid approximately $ 14.XX after tax and tip for my 5 piece assorted aburi nigiri lunch with miso soup… so it was more like a snack for me haha. However, I would say that it was definitely worth it! The aburi unagi nigiri was as good as the one that I had at Miku recently!!! The scallop nigiri was absolutely amazing as well. I would definitely recommend tsuki if you can afford it. :)(My friend came here and spent around $ 20 for lunch after tax and tip and he was fairly full I think)
