I think this Olympia Pizza has been here for like 100 years! Ok maybe not 100 years but I remember coming here a ton of years ago! Anyways what’s old is new again right? It was super hot in the restaurant. I don’t think they have air con… Sorry but ceiling fans won’t do on a night like this! We talked to the waitress and she was able to seat us outside on the patio. Thank goodness! We just shared a main course(lamb chops) and 2 appies. Overall, the food is pretty decent, and the portions are generous. Our waitress was really good. She came by often to fill our water and ensure we were enjoying our experience. I don’t know I’m not a big Greek food fan. And pizza is not my fav for dinner so I don’t know if I would be coming back in the near future, but I do respect this restaurant and the food and staff. It’s just not necessarily my cup of tea.

First time visit, after reading the reviews including the bad ones ! Friday night 7.30 p.m., crowded, but were seated in 10 minutes after they had cleaned the table AND swept the floor. Service and attention excellent. Food good, tasty and hot. Ordered Homous & Pita(small & runny serving) Garlic Prawn appetizer(good) Arni Lamb platter(good, large serving, take home box needed) Will be our go-to Greek Restaurant now that Alexi’s on Cambie has closed and been turned into another Chinese outlet.

The BEST Greek restaurant in Vancouver in my opinion. Everything on their menu is amazing! Best souvlaki I’ve had.

I’m going to get my bias out of the way first: I think Olympia Pizza is the best pizza place in Vancouver, hands down. Its how they make the pizza, it’s all in the layering. I usually order the pepperoni and green peppers pizza; the entire pizza is layered twice over with a slab of pepperoni and then finished off with a generous helping of thick mozzarella. No piece meal circles of meat here. Do yourself a favor and order a pizza here. You can’t go wrong with an order of hummus or chicken skaras either, but treat yourself with a pizza. Thank me later.

Had totally forgotten that I had already left a five star review for this place. The pizza was was again insane tonight. Probably one of; if not the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Top quality and the dining in experience is very nice. Just really like the place, definitely going here instead of large chains if I can.

This is a few steps from my house. I have to say I love the pizza here its so delicious. Very generous on the cheese and the ingredients. We ordered the house special large pizza and love it so much that I am already craving for it even though just had it yesterday. Yes no kidding. It was that good. This place is always busy but again its not that big though. Its been around ever since I remember. My mom said when she was young it was already in the corner. And she used to live in the hood when she was a teenage and would love to eat there the yummy souvalaki. Must be so good or else why would she still remember. Décor is nice and clean. You will find friendly service here. Its totally worth coming. Parking might be a bit limited. Well there are street parkings but most of them have meters. Depends if you are lucky or not. I guess.

This restaurant tries hard; but there is only so far you can go with tons of complimentary bread baskets to fill up on while all the plates are loaded with rice, a small portion of greek salad and ordinary potatoe wages that were advertised as lemony Greek potatoes but there was nothing lemony about them. The avgolemono lemon egg drop drop soup with chicken and rice was decent($ 5.95), the fasolada soup was so-so, both needed a lot Of lemon on the side to make it work. Dolmathes appetizer consisting of stuffed grape leafs with rice and ground beef over hollandaise($ 8.95) was overpriced for the portion and tasted so-so. Our plates, the large chicken souvlaki skewer($ 18.95) was very skimpy on the chicken and filled with starch. Steak and lasagna was decent and nothing Greek about it. They brought more bread to the table as fillers. Overpriced, all starch, unauthentic Greek and a waste of an experience #RipOff #neverAgain

I come here at least once a year with friends. I am all about the family feel that seems to be lost. Décor is all over the place but works. Prompt polite service and large portions.

I was trying to go to Spin on Broadway only to realize a Thai food restaurant took over that location. Hence, we ended up here after wondering around a short bit. We were seated right away. However, the table we were seated had salt all over the table. We flagged the hostess’ attention to wipe down our table. We ordered calamari, moussaka and a small order of beef souvlaki. Calamari and pita arrived first. Calamari was perfectly fried. I noticed the dipping sauce was in a take out sauce container. It made the dining experience feel very casual. Moussaka and beef souvlaki arrived after and tasted heavenly! Each bite of the moussaka was buttery. The beef souvlaki was beautifully seasoned. Plus, we received another serving of pita and garlic bread to go with our entrees. There was too much food! I think we were served dinner portions during lunch. We definitely did not leave hungry. There are also daily drink specials. We had plans after lunch so were not able to enjoy the sangria that was on special.

Not bad, but also not great. The service was questionable and the food, while tasty, was quite rich and dense. ***Vegetarian friendly but no good vegan options.

I don’t think it’s worth it to give this place even one star but I guess this is the minimum in order to write a review. I’ve ordered 7oz. Steak with spaghetti and my friend had a chicken plate. The server was in her late 40’s with blonde hair. I didn’t get a good vibe when I walked in because she seemed so cold and bitchy. She gave us a table in the back corner. The place was pretty empty but took forever to get the menu from her. She just didn’t seem to care much. I had a bad feelings and was about to leave but she came to us and took the order. She didn’t really say much, not even yes or no properly. When she asked me what kind of salad dressing I want, she sounded so grumpy and made me feel so uncomfortable. However she seemed very chatty with other tables though. The steak tasted like… It is was horrible. I was very hungry but never tasted steak like that in my life. It smelled bad. The spaghetti tasted like garbage. A few mushrooms with tomato sauce… I don’t know. I am quite pissed off about the service and that blonde bitchy server and the food tasted even worse and I don’t know how to describe it. It just tasted awful. I will never ever go there again and I don’t want to recommend that place unless you are looking for bad service and awful food.

Excellent Pepperoni Pizza, Lasagna, BBQ ribs and Calamari. The BBQ Rib dinner comes with a full order of Lasagna and good for sharing for two people. Prompt service and tasty home made tasting food, makes up for not having to cook tonight. The price is modest for the amount of food you receive. I will be heading back to Olympia Pizza for another round of Pepperoni pizza very very soon!

First time eating from here, we ordered pizza for takeout. It was tasty but needed more tomato sauce, but the crust was great. I would eat here again.

Food is good, delivery is fast. My only complaint is the last time I ordered delivery, one of the things I ordered was keftedes. Kef-te-des. The guy on the phone couldn’t figure out what I was trying to order. «Keftedes! Keftedes! Kef-te-das» I said into the phone with increased agitation. «Ma’am, can you spell it?», «Jesus chris k-e-f-t-e-d-e-s», «ohhh keftedes!». Annoying.

Greek food in Vancouver is usually quite solid, and this place is no exception. Very delicious home-style cooking. Parking is available on the side streets a blocks or two away. Watched the meter maids tag several cars directly in front of the restaurant. Special mention goes to their outdoor patio. Great for the summer months. And the best part? It’s on the E side of the building. In the afternoon and evenings, it means the entire area is in the shade! Staff were friendly and professional. Pricing is average, at $ 12 – 20 for most dishes. The sangria here is one of the tastiest I’ve had in a long time — it’s just the right mix in terms of flavour. Really liked the pineapple chunks inside too. The only bad thing that happened is that the mixing spoon literally broke apart when I was stirring, so I had to pick wood bits out of the mix. Salad is a bit on the plain side — it’s literally just chopped lettuce in this case. Garlic bread — a bit too baked — even the inside was crunchy. Ribs and spaghetti — beautiful. Meat was cooked just right — it peeled off the bones easily, but wasn’t tough at all. The spaghetti tasted a lot like Chef Boyardee(this is a good thing). Reminds me of eating at home as a kid. Roast lamb — quantity of meat could’ve been a bit bigger, especially when compared to some of the competition out there. But it was also cooked just right. Special mention. Rest of the bits on the place were decent. Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back at some point.

Over the last year I have craving an old fashioned baked spaghetti with meatballs. After trying a few places and some very lame attempts I thought of Olympia Pizza. It had been quite a few years since I was last here but man they did not disappoint. Throw in a Greek salad and I had a feast that was a perfect throwback to the old days.

Delivery: Solid Greek food. We eat delivery here regularly, I have to admit I’ve never been inside though. Who doesn’t get excited when Slovakia is on the way?

Another classic here, it’s been here since high school days. And been awhile too, since my last time, and again this time just for drinks. Always enjoyed the solarium seating for the natural light & eye candy. Parking’s always a challenge here, so try for the side streets.
