Great food at a clean place. We were happy with what we get and price wise.

I’ve been here a few times. The food is quite good and authentic; the spring rolls are especially good. However the service could be more friendly

Came here by accident as we were looking for a different restaurant. Must say we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was very tasty. We had the Vietnamese spring rolls that were really good. The rare beef Phở was delicious, the broth really good. The Ban mi sandwich I highly recommend, this was excellent. The pork over rice vermicelli noodles was also great. The red curry was ok, a little thin for my liking but not bad . Overall a great little spot, seems to be popular with the locals which is usually a good sign.

Not the best Phở in Vancouver but definitely the best in the whole Robson/Denman/Davie area. The broth, noodles and meat are all above average compared to what you find nearby. The best part is they give you freshly chopped red chillies on the side if you ask for them and the lime wedges are always cut to perfection(it’s unfortunate how many phở places don’t do this!). This review is for the Ph tái which is what I always get. The chicken satay was also delicious. Definitely the best chicken satay I’ve had in Vancouver til date. The sauce on the side is very good. The Vietnamese drip coffee with condensed milk was a bit heavy on the coffee and water for my taste. Maybe it’s a one time thing but it was too watery. I’m not sure I would get this again. I loved the durian smoothie though. That fruit is a godsend. The oranges and fortune cookies are an adorable touch. I always enjoy eating here. The décor is so dark and dingy. No crowds or loud noises at this place. It’s so cut off from the street and so strikingly contrasted with the west end sophistication outside that you really do feel like you’ve explored into an entirely different part of town.

Have been here every week since I started working in coal harbour a year ago, never have been disappointed. Pure authentic Vietnamese style and the the taste is stellar! Very affordable as well!

Pretty decent place. Plenty of food, quality is decent and so is presentation. Nothing fantastic, but it’s quite cheap, giving it really good value.

This score is for their banh mi(Vietnamese subs). Just had the grilled(lemongrass?) chicken one and it was terrible — smallish amount of chicken buried under a mess of soggy pickled veg on a far to dense and doughy/chewy/hard roll. Not good. Stick to the noodles here.

I got #63 vermicelli bowl and the lemongrass beef was especially flavorful. It comes with veggies, pork and spring roll. They put the fish sauce on the bottom. Good prices and big portions. Clean place. Would definitely recommend.

LOVETHISPLACE. I have been to so many Vietnamese places in Vancouver, Edmonton, San Diego etc and I love it here. The broth is just so much better for the Phở and the meat is very good. I’m not sure what meatballs they use but it’s way better here! Usually at other places the meatballs are kinda gross and a mixture of who knows what, but the meatballs here are superb. Service was excellent and very kind. We sat outside and it was a great area. Price wasn’t too bad. Would definitely come back for sure. If only Edmonton had better places like this!

The tempura shrimp was excellent. Perfectly cooked and a large portion for an appetizer. I followed up with the Pad Thai with shrimp. Again a large portion and a tasty dish. Good value for dollar. They seemed to be doing a robust take out business.

Good food. Broth is a bit too oily for the my tastes, hence the 4 stars. Service is good though. Server was very friendly. Atmosphere could use a bit of work. A little dim!

I moved to Vancouver a month ago and I «have to» come here at least once a week ! #31 with egg noodles: win :) It’s delicious, a bit salty(ask for water, otherwise they only give you tea) The perfect less than 10 $ meal !

I really like this place; have been three times with friends and have always had good dishes. I get the phở with rare beef but will expand to more ambitious dishes next time. Excellent spring rolls. The phở is very large with all the lime, sprouts, and basil you could want. I’m fine with the smallest of the three sizes. Really good service.

Fast and friendly service. Food is okay though, big portion with reasonable price. I used to come here often and my recent visit was so so. The soup for #14 rare beef was very oily. It looked gross. I ended up not finishing the soup.

I know the raves for this place are mainly for their phở, and they’re not wrong per se… but the broth here has nothing on my favourite phở place in Toronto. So it’s a good thing I didn’t order the phở, otherwise I may have left wanting more… While my entire group ordered phở(so I was able to sample the phở, and voice such an opinion), I opted instead for the lemongrass chicken rice which, according to another Unilocaler, is «phenomenal» — and she wasn’t wrong. I was so incredibly satisfied with the chicken rice, that I saved the other half to have for lunch the next day(it’s a good portion), and it was STILL yummy — and this is coming from a girl who seriously hates leftovers; this is now one of few exceptions to the leftover rule. Do yourselves a favor: remember that phở is not the only option!

This place serves the best phở I’ve ever eaten in the city. I live in Eastvan and whenever my sister and I are craving a bowl of phở, we would rather take a 20 minute drive downtown than eat mediocre phở close by. Their broth is just very flavourful and, most importantly, it’s very consistent time after time. Other than the well done beef and beef ball phở(#16 on the menu), I’ve also tried their vermicelli bowl, salad roll, mango salad, and durian smoothie. All of which were on par with my standards! Whenever I had to substitute or omit an ingredient or two the pleasant servers never fail to accommodate my request. I’ve been here many times and I really recommend this place to anyone that has a phở craving that needs to be satisfied!

One of the best phở I’ve ever had. I ordered the XL phở tai and didn’t regret it. Broth was hearty and so tasty, even though it was only 11am when I went. Meat was probably not the absolute best quality, but the broth made up for it. Plenty of thin rice noodles. I’m a very satisfied customer.

A no-frills, family-run restaurant with a variety of Asian foods, though we normally only order from the Vietnamese menu. The Phở is great. A favourite is the rare beef with beef balls(my partner always gets this one). And the lemongrass chicken is consistently good. The prices are really cheap and the portions are huge. I have no complains about this place and we eat here at least once every week or two.

FACT: Rainy days cry for Phở. As you can probably tell from my previous review, I hardly order anything else other than the chicken rice. Lately however, I have taken to ordering the Phở. My hubby used to complain about the beef being a little chewy. It seems he has changed his mind about that. He insists that the beef is better now! To be honest, I never had a problem with it in the first place. The Phở here is good. The only thing my hubby still complains about is the rareness of the beef, which usually… well… isn’t. For some reason, the Rare Beef Phở comes with cooked beef. Ha! Go figure. Because I am a sucker for variety, I enjoy #14. That way, I get my rare beef slices & beef balls all in one bowl. The soup is flavourful as flavourful can be. If you ask my hubby, he recommends the Spicy Rare Beef Phở. Apparently, there’s something about the spicy soup here that trumps all others. No charge for tea. Fortune cookies and orange slices for dessert! Gotta love ‘em. BUT, the one sneaky, sneaky thing they have done was raise their prices after the HST went away. Tsk tsk.
