Friendly staff abd fast service. I totally recommend getting Himalayan Salt, Hedgehogs and Sweet Georgia Brown. Their dipped icecream bars($ 3.55) are good too. Price is kinda expensive, but their sweets are yummy. Offer 30% off if you’re Purdy’s employee. Opens 6 days a week mon-sat from 8 or 8:30.

Friendly staff. Excellent chocolate. I like shopping at the factory store because it’s quieter than the retail stores. Pricey, but yummy.

It’s like any other store. Don’t make a special trip to it. They no longer have tours of the factory and there are no special flavors or features that you can’t find anywhere else. In fact, unlike the other stores, there is no ice cream, even though they do have their classic ice cream bars!

When I was a little girl, my dad used to take me to Purdy’s at Easter time for their annual chocolate factory tours. I was annoyed that the factory had no Umpa Lumpa’s and that everyone whom worked their looked like my dad. It was an Easter tradition that all of a sudden stopped without explanation. I loved waiting for hours to see how the chocolate was made. This was way before shows on the Food Network like«Unwrapped» showed how candy was/is made. I remember my dad buying me a 6′ tall hollow Easter bunny after the tour to take home. I went back today with my friend Peta for the first time in years. I was in the hood, therefore, when in Rome or in this case… when in a chocolate factory. Truthfully their chocolate does little to impress me and isn’t that great quality, however, I picked up a thin mint in honor of my dad whom passed away years ago. This was one of his favorite chocolates. As for the tours… I am guessing one too many kids got injured and it eventually become a liability to continue the tours. I agree that for the quality that it is, which isn’t much, it is $$$, however, for just 1 or two pieces it’s worth it. They also sell dirt cheap factory rejects, therefore, if you’re having your period and just want chocolate… this is the best place. Friendly staff whom patiently put up with my Umpa Lumpa jokes.

A little pricey for what it is, but they do have some great flavors. We spent almost $ 10 picking out individual chocolates and truffles. Many of them were $ 1 or more a piece. Pretty tasty, but nothing better than I have had in Seattle. They do make all of their chocolates in house from fresh ingredients, though they import the chocolate from europe. Friendly staff. I would like to try their famous ice cream bar dipped in chocolate next time.
I have something to say... A.
