Convenient and very friendly shop! Hugely varied selection of wines, including several from British Columbia. Cold beer, which seemed pricey, but it’s not sold in grocery stores here, so we were happy to find it! The owner explained some of the wines to us – we are learning. My husband also found his favorite whiskey!

What a gem! We found this place across from the WorldMark and since in Canada the only place to buy any alcohol is at the«package stores» this was handy. I was able to try some local BC wines and received some great recommendations from the staff there. I spent $ 100 the first time I was in there and I wished I had checked in on Unilocal before I rang that up instead of after as they had a coupon for 15 percent off any purchase.(See my tip) Needless, to say I didn’t spend near as much the next time I was in there but I remembered to check in. Bottomline: Handy, Friendly Service and a Coupon on booze what more could you ask for?!

I’m having a hard time understanding BC liquor laws. Like why is a glass of wine more expensive than a Martini. Or why liquor stores are few and far between, or why they don’t sell alcohol in grocery stores, and drug stores. After finding this little teeny-tiny liquor store, I was even more baffled at what I saw upon opening the beer chill box. A 12 pack of 12 ounce bottles Heineken…(ready???) «THIRTYFIVEBUCKS» I was like wwhhaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt!!! the ultimate oh my god moment. I really don’t wanna rant and rave over it… it is what it is… I guess? Just makes me think about our Hawaiian style baby luau, or big weddings, or other really special occasions. whew?

Private liquor stores in BC have always been kind of a mystery to me. On the one hand, they are invariably more expensive than the public BC Liquor stores, and the selection(especially of beer, but also of other things) is not always great. On the other hand, you can get cold beer at 11pm on a Sunday. I like this Wall Centre store because they carry a cheapo Danish beer called Faxe that I happen to like(back home in Quebec, you can buy it at Costco, but that’s a rant for another time). Their selection is not as good as the BC Liquor store down the street, but they do carry a number of brands that they don’t have at the public store, so I’m glad they’re around.

Located a block from where i live, this is a great place to shop when you want something cold or you just dont want to have to go to the liquor store. Staff are friendly and they carry a large variety of cider. Not too overly priced and hours are not too bad(see website)

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown(and just around the corner from me), this place stocks a more than decent selection of BC and international wine, spirits and local beer. Often times, they also have samples available of new products.
