This isn’t Chicago deep dish, why doesn’t true New York style pizza or Chicago deep dish seem to exist outside their respective cities? Or at least not in Vancouver.

I’ve occasionally ordered«deep dish» pizzas from other places and been disappointed, but this place came through big-time. The pizza boxes are actually heavy, that’s how deep this pizza is. It might seem a little pricey, but that’s because these pies are massive. Another plus: both of the drivers that I’ve dealt with from here were super friendly older dudes, and the manager seems quite personable as well.

Ordered a deep dish and chicken bites and some wings. Delivery took 1 hour and a half, chicken bites are horrid. Basically processed frozen chicken nuggets on a bed of some onions and green peppers lol. Deep dish was soggy and cold i had to put it in the oven at home to reheat… will never order again.

Had the deep dish. Not authentic deep dish in the Chicago sense, but very, very good. Fairly priced, good service, and delicious pizza. Will definitely return. If you crave deep dish style pizza, there isn’t much choice in Vancouver, but what there is, is excellent(Slice of Chicago and Hot Oven in Burnaby).

Best deep dish I’ve had in a while! Worth every penny. If you’re a fan of deep dish pizza… this is where you need to order from.

My main issue is that it isn’t deep dish pizza and if you advertise it as deep dish, and its not, then you shouldnt get a good review. The pizza I ordered was just super thick doughy crust and then a normal amount of toppings on top. The same amount you would find on a non deep dish pizza. So you are paying more just thicker crust. I saw the overall rating it got and thought I would try it, but after eating a slice I immediately went back and read the reviews because I couldn’t understand why it got such a good rating. It seems that a lot of people realize its not deep dish but still think it tasted fine so gave it five stars. Some good things is the price still isn’t thhhhat bad, placed order online, sauce was fine. Bad things is not many toppings, crust was absolutely terrible doughy and thick(which is the most important thing). I wouldn’t go back :(

Had a craving for deep dish pizza but living in Vancouver, finding one could be a challenge. Stumbled onto Slice of Chicago through a Google search so I wanted to give it a try. Most of the reviews seemed positive so I went there. Ordered the House Special as a deep dish. WOW!!! It was HUGE!!! Ordered a small and I could only get done with 2 slices. Although this wasn’t authentic true Chicago style deep dish, it was still a great pizza and I «highly recommend» to anyone who wants a really thick, topping heavy pizza. This place would be considered a «hole in the wall» place, abit small but well worth the deep dish. I’ll be back soon enough.

I love this place. Great delivery pizza. Always fresh. Fast. Delicious. But it’s their customer service that blows me away.

The sauce should be on top and the toppings on the bottom. That would be authentic deep dish. But otherwise it is a reasonable facsimile to hold me over until my next Chicago visit.

Ordered dinner from here the other day and the pizza was very good. Since we were ordering From a deep dish pizza store, we wanted Chicago-like feel to it. The order would take too long to make however(the pizza takes longer to make), we just went for the normal one. The order was quickly handled and at our doorstep in under one hour. For $ 16, I had a meat lovers big enough for my boyfriend and I to eat. We didn’t try the deep dish but this good first experience does give us curiosity for more.

It’s rare to find a place that delivers real Chicago pizza outside of Chicago, and in Canada of all places. I thought I was setting myself up for a mediocre meal when I found their pizza, but went with it because of the price. Not to mention the reviews of this place weren’t so bad. The first reassurance we had was the order. Speedy, and looked reliable. Within 50 minutes, we were sitting with two pizzas, one deep dish one normal(for my friend, a former Chicago resident who dislikes deep dish). The chicken bites were great, but I really enjoyed the house special. Not too much cheese, and just the right amount of tomato sauce on the thick pizza. Would order again in Vancouver.

Ordered delivery and it was amazing! The food tasted great and exactly what I expected if not more. They even made garlic dip from scratch for me! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal at an awesome price.

I ended up ordering from Slice of Chicago on a bit of a whim, as the name of the joint just sounded a lot more enticing than any other options, but let me tell you, these guys are the real deal. We ordered around 430, and the pie promptly arrived at 540, for understandable reasons. You see, when you order from Slice of Chicago, you aren’t really purchasing a pizza, you’re buying SEVERAL pizzas, stacked on top of each other. I swear to god, you could fed a family of 8 with this one large Pizza I ordered, I couldn’t finish more than 2 slices. Slice of Chicago serves what I consider to be the epitome of what is known as a, «Pizza Pie». P.S: In the, «additional instructions» section of the online delivery form I instructed Slice of Chicago to, «draw something magical» on the inside of the pizza box, and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Oh boy!

Tried this pizza for the first time and was not disappointed! It was delicious with fresh ingredients and did not skimp on sauce or cheese. I can normally eat a small pizza to myself but I could not even eat half of the small deep dish. I also liked that they gave free dipping sauce. What a nice touch. The website has an error of $ 15 delivery fee. When I placed order online, they called and corrected that right away. Both on the phone and delivery driver were very nice and friendly. My only critique would be that the crust could be a bit thinner on the end as very filling oh and also delivery is supposed to be free within 3kms which I was but they still charged $ 3. Though I don’t mind paying for it, they should be more clear or just charge a flat fee to deliver but definitely not $ 15. I would recommend this place!

I love this place. The Chicago Margherita is my favourite. I was surprised when two mediums cost me only $ 21 dollars or something last time. The service is always so friendly too. Now, by writing this review, I am reminded of how good it is and will need to order it soon.

I’d pretty much given up on pizza in Vancouver, but a friend suggested we try Slice of Chicago and I’m glad that we did. We ordered right as the Canucks game was starting on a busy Friday night through , and after waiting just under an hour I called the restaurant to make sure they’d received our order. The person who answered was really nice, very apologetic, and said our pizza should arrive any minute. He was absolutely right: Not 5 minutes later a very sweet and personable delivery guy arrived with piping hot pizza – and how he managed to get it to us in the West End from 41st and Fraser while a Canucks game was starting at Rogers Arena, *in the pouring rain* and still have it be piping hot is a mystery to me. Bottom line: Lovely service, even under what were likely crappy/crazy circumstances for the driver. As for the pizza: It was excellent! We ordered two small deep dish pizzas and between the three of us ate barely half. SOMUCHFOOD. The pizzas aren’t perfect«Chicago Style» but they are 80% there and certainly better than any pizza we’ve had in Vancouver before. These were serious pies – loaded with toppings, cheese and really good sauce. Definitely ‘fork and knife’ style pizza. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the extra sauce caused some sogginess on the bottom crusts, but it’s a minor complaint. This is going to become our Friday night go-to for pizza from now on.

Dropped by here with a bunch of friends. We heard they have deep dish pizza, and yes it is true, they do. We just had to try it since we’ve been searching for one in Vancouver for a VERY long time. I found out about this place because a friend lived around the corner, and told me there was a deep dish pizza place, and I was surprised! I had to come drop by, and try it out myself! Friends and we ordered 4 large deep dish pizzas in total to share between the 7 of us. The Butter Chicken, The AL Capone, The Super Hawaiian and The Meat Lover. By the end of the night, we couldn’t finish everything, and had more pizza for the day after. We were stuffed, and I was dead by the end of the night. For sure the only way I can say is that their pizzas were more crust than the sauce for the deep dish. We maybe wanted more it to be Chicago Deep Dish, but I mean, this is the closest we are going to get in Vancouver though: P Overall, at the end of the night, we had so much food we were full and dead. Still worth coming to try the place out and had a great time. Might come back just to order more pizza for some friends for a party! Good place, and the owners were awesome.

As someone from Chicago this is not actual Chicago deep dish, it is just a deeper than normal pizza. Having said that, you will probably like it, its still good pizza. I’m just disappointed, I was hoping for authentic. The crust is supposed to be buttery and flaky, the sauce on top and much more of it. I cannot recommend this place to anyone else from the Midwest, but it has its redeeming qualities. As a side note, the wings were delicious.

Don’t get me wrong, this place is a 4 solid stars on the food front. I got a Social Living Deal for two large 3 topping pizzas. The large is about 2 to 3 inches smaller than the large pizzas at the shops I’m used to(Freshslice, MegaByte, Romano’s Pizza, Flying Wedge), but what they lack in size, they make up in fresh ingredients. I had a slice of salami, tomoto and mushroom pizza and it was pretty amazing. the crust was thin and crunchy(the way I like it) and Slice of Chicago really didn’t cheap out on ingredients. They have daily specials and I really wouldn’t mind going back(even without a deal) to try those. Why 3-stars you might ask? I didn’t like the two drinks(that came with the pizzas) were chosen for me so I went to the fridge and chose a new drink but was asked quite rudely(like I was stealing or something) what I was doing. I explained myself and the manager didn’t even apologise for the accusation, no smiling, just pure accusation-like stare. I also tried some small talk with the manager when I was putting my order in, but I didn’t even get a smile. I will return for the food.
