Delicious food! I’ve been here a few times and its always really tasty food! Their hollandaise sauce is so tasty. It’s a dive kinda place but cute and cozy at the same time. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

I went for brunch with my boyfriend here and we both thought it was very good! I’m vegan and got the«We don’t need no eggs and bacon», which is a tofu scramble with roasted potatoes and toast. The potatoes were delicious and they served a very tasty(homemade?) jam with the toast. The tofu scramble was okay, but needed more flavoring. I put some ketchup and sriracha on it and it was very good that way! My boyfriend got the French Toast. He said it was delicious, and it came with an abundance of fresh fruit. We had to wait 40 minutes to get a table as it was very busy(11 am on a Sunday), but once we were seated the service was good and the food came out about 10 minutes after we ordered. Overall a really great place.

This place was highly recommended, the ambiance and décor was so amazing! We opted for the bar so we were seated right away. The food was good, and other than the food, and great environment, a great reason to come is to read the menu. I ordered the chorizo omelet, which was soo delicious ! If I’m ever in Canada again, which I have to return, I will definitely come back for more!

We’ve been to the W7th Avenue location twice and received five star service and food both times. This Easter weekend we were there and our server, a young gal who was rocking a Boy George 80’s look, was quite seriously one of the best servers we’ve ever seen in action. She had great room awareness. She came over at the right times and she was pleasant and attentive without being saccarine sweet and fakey-fake like so many wait staff are. This location is very near me so rest assured I’ll be back for another benny soon! Keep up the great work!

I love this place! The breakfast /brunch is amazing! Wouldn’t recommend to go on a weekend early morning because the wait is pretty long but it’s worth it! Love love love!

Really fun place to chill out at for a weekend brunch. The atmosphere is like a 60’s or 70’s diner, with a somewhat run-down but clean feel. I ordered the veggie scramble, which was lacking almost completely in the veggies(it’s really just tofu) and also lacking in flavour; the potatoes were very good. Service is decent and the prices are reasonable. It scores good for atmosphere and comfort, but the food is lacking.

Chimichurri salsa and short ribs braised to perfection, why not? Gluten free toast and roasted potatoes, start the day out right! What a dream team today. Those ladies behind the bar, amazing. Love this spot. Good music, great people watching.

Surprised that it was so quaint looking inside. I’ve been wanting to come here for a while but on the weekends driving by it always seemed packed. Today I went and no lineups and was able to find a table easily. I was really impressed with the Chez Fe breakfast of short rib, egg and potatoes. The chimichurri sauce lathered over it really kicked this dish up a notch and made a huge difference. I also ordered their key lime pie whih was very citrusy which made me very happy!

Amazing vegan tofu scramble! So good with the rosemary potatoes. The vegan sammie is great, too. Great atmosphere and service, fair prices. Perfect for a late(hungover) brekkie!

My girlfriend and I have gone out for breakfast once a week at a new location since we moved to Vancouver a year ago. Slickity Jim’s has definitely been the best. There is something for everyone here.

Interesting, quirky décor, though I’ve seen crazier stuff(check out Radio Habana Social Club if you’re ever in SF). A solid brunch, fun names. Food is nothing to go out of your way for but definitely works. THEWAIT: About 10 minutes on a Monday at 1pm for three of us. Several groups of 2 were sat ahead of us because space opened up at the bar. THECOST: $ 41.84 before tip for three brunch entrees and two coffees. THEFOOD(see my pics as well!): * Chez Fe(Sunny side up eggs served with braised short ribs and roasted potatoes, finished with chimichurri salsa. Served with toasted herb foccaccia. $ 12.50) — 3 stars Pretty good flavors(salsa and sauce the ribs were cooked in mixed well for but the short ribs were very dry. * Bacon & Gruyère Omelette($ 10.95) — 3.5 stars. Love the crispy, smokey bacon. Otherwise the omelette was lacking flavors. The grain toast was toasted just right, with a hint of butter, and you can ask for what seems like house-made cherry/strawberry jam with chunks of fruit. The potatoes have nice herbs(rosemary), some pieces are more crisped than others.

Great breakfast, excellent coffee and reasonably priced! If this is close to you, definitely a great place for a casual breakfast.

It’s a hipster hub with dishes with fun names. It seems promising but the overall experience was not. It is definitely not worth waiting for. The food is nothing special and even though they have intriguing ingredients like goat feta and figs, they are pretty stingy with those things. My scramble had barely any cheese in it. The servers are nice enough and gave us enough space until it got busy. That’s understandable. The hygeine is what will prevent me from coming back. There was a hair in my eggs and fruit flies were plentiful! They were flying all over the place and stuck in the ketchup. So gross. Maybe that’s where the slickity comes from? Lots of other brunch places on Main. Hipsters can have this one.

The best thing about this place is all of the clever names for their dishes. It’s more fun reading the menu than it is actually eating the food. I had the«Chilli Chorizo and Cheddar» omelette which really lacked in flavour and, oddly, chorizo(I did not taste any chorizo in it at all to be honest). The potatoes were mealy and were not all that well cooked since they had no crunch and it looked like the dried herbs used for seasoning were just kind of sitting on top of them. I will say I did really like the sourdough toast and what I believe was homemade plum jam, but I’m not standing in line for toast and jam.

Wasn’t that busy Friday @ 1;00. I had the smoked meat sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend it if your hungry and have a reasonable appetite. It wasnt that big and I think I got the last of the days meat scraps which probably should have gone to slickety jims dog but I was hungry and I hate bitchin about food in a restaurant cause really, if they don’t know better they wont be in business for long. So, yeah, it was ok but I can imagine it being really good and im sure only one person a day gets the leftovers from the Montréal smoked meat. My buddy has some monster burger which he eloquently described as F@#%in good!! Another friend who is watchin her figure had the veggie burritos which she couldn’t finish so I helped her and I would have to say they were F@#%in good as well! Too early for drinks so cant comment. Prices are as expected. Waitress was neither great nor bad, probably just not the smiling type!

The moment I walked into this joint, I was hooked. I came in to get a meal, disheartened to discover the restaurant part was closed. «Are you here for the show?» the staff asked me… To my surprise there was a small room in the back with live performances! There were communal tables and everyone there was so willing to talk and meet new people. The crowd ranged from 19-mid 50’s, so the conversation was never dull. My favourite part was they support local artists. The food– I ordered the union burger; nothing crazy special, but not bad in any means. Every item on the menu takes something ordinary, but adds a little twist to it all for a reasonable price. The staff– Great people. Nothing more to say except to reiterate that they are great people. However, If you’re trying to have a private first date, this may not be the place to go. If you want a good conversation with new people, 10⁄10 would recommend.

Well blow me down! I just had the best time chewing down on Olive me Love Omlette. Good coffee and one of the better fun experiences for breakfast in town. Repeat visit? You betcha!

This place is a great neighbourhood anchor that really does reflect the area it is in well. It is, like someone said, a bit hipster but if it helps, my dad likes it too. The food is good, and just slightly to the gourmet side of standard diner fare. Good breakfasts, and lunch sandwiches are decent too. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid«good» and if you look at the pictures people have posted you will understand the type of eating experience you will get here. What I like about it is the décor and booths. Every time I’ve gone it has just been full, but now overflowing so no pressure to leave,. my guess is that weekend brunch is a different story. It is just a comfortable place,. feels like Vancouver,. feels like home.

Interesting décor, vintage feel, open kitchen, great mixed drinks, friendly waitresses and good atmosphere. The minus: they were super short staffed when we went there. If there’s a line then write your name on the blackboard to the left of the door when you come in. My friend’s meal, which was the special of the day quesadilla with pulled porc belly and a side of cornbread, was a real disappointment. For one, the cornbread was not fully cooked! The quesadilla was not good at all and really dry. The poor waitress was running around like crazy w completely full tables and only 2 girls waiting on the whole Resto. My eggs Benedict’s with prosciutto and half melted Brie was good but could have been better. It was a bit of a disappointment but I will be back on a less busy day and try their Je suis un canard or cheval dish. Definitely want to try their mint raspberry drink;)
