If you are looking for an express mani/pedi, do not go here. Advertised as taking 40 – 50 minutes, it was instead 90. I could have had a gel mani/pedi combo in that length of time that would have lasted twice as long. Well in this case, would actually have lasted as the appointment had gone so far over the allotted time, I had to rush back to work, ruining my mani in the process. What a waste of money.

This is a fantastic salon. Not only have my(gel) nails never looked better but they are healthier too. This place is extremely clean and thoughtful about health issues. I have tried nearly every nail salon in this neighborhood over the last 5 years and thus one far exceeds them in every way. Highly recommend Aurora.

I went to this salon twice a month for about two years. The staff is super friendly, knowledgable, and meticulous. I got gel nails often and always left happy. If something wasn’t right, they fit me in right away to fix it. Wendy the owner is warm and is always available through their Facebook page! I’ve even made appointments at 10pm on a Saturday! That’s service for ya! I’ve sadly moved away and will probably still try to make it down to their salon for nail services.

I love this place! I’ve been here 3 times now and every time has been great. All the staff are very nice and pleasant to interact with. My mani and pedis have lasted a good amount of time and I was very happy with the quality of work. One time my girlfriend and I were there and they were so concerned with her smudging her toes that they gave her disposable flip flops to get home in as we had forgotten ours. Prices are reasonable and if you join their mailing list, they have good promos!

Who’s doesn’t love watching your favourite Rom Com while getting your nails done?! Wendy, the owner is very friendly and helpful and the girls do a pretty good job of Manis and Pedis. My only critique is that the hand and foot massage that comes with the service isn’t that good and is very short.

Somewhat disappointed with this salon, and I should have trusted my instincts and the reviews of my fellow experienced Unilocalers. While they did a fine job, I will not be back. The pros: cute, adorable shop, one parking spot in the back for customers. Professional nail artists who were pleasant enough and did a fine job on the paint job. At times I was worried about the cuticle trim, as it was the most painful one I’d received. But only one finger showed signs of near bleeding, so that part was a good thing. So why only two stars? For starters, they charged me $ 5 extra to remove my shellac. After many visits to other nail salons throughout N. America, never have I been charged for this service. Secondly, a one minute, haphazard hand massage was less than impressive. I suspected this when the esthetician told me that I didn’t need to remove my long sleeved jacket; that’s because she wouldn’t be doing a proper massage! My friend received no massage at all and her esthetician certainly had the time. It’s not as if the place was packed; we were the only ones in the shop until our departure; even then, only one other patron arrived almost an hour later. Normally, I like to tip quite generously when the job is well done. But when a basic service without a massage clocks out to almost $ 50 this is not enticing enough to return. To think that I can get both a mani-pedi anywhere in the US for the same price. The other odd thing about this salon is that they mentioned that they would not have enough time to finish when we arrived 10 minutes late, but we were the only ones in the place on a cloudy weekend. Since spring is here and summer is on its way, it doesn’t say too much about a salon that looks pretty on the outside but is empty on the inside, especially since most salons are double booked on weekends. While it could have potential, it’s doubtful that I’ll return. Too bad, as I really did want to like it here, but it just wasn’t worth it for the price and«spoiled» I was not.

I’m fussy as heck about nail treatments, and Spoiled did a great job. I’m giving this a five because I really had a lovely time and I can’t stop staring at my nails(oooh shiny objects!). I got the«just a little spoiled» combo. If you’ve read my reviews before, you’ll know I’ve got oh just a tinge of the OCD when it comes to salons and spas. They confidently gave good answers when I grilled them on their sanitizing techniques, alleluia. They use washable bowls for your foot soak, yay — I don’t like whirlpool footbaths cuz they are harder to clean properly, which means more risk, ugh. They use single disposable orange stick things, and you can take your buffer and file home with you. And bless ‘em, they actually use proper methods of sanitizing for their tools. You would be amazed at some of the lazy stuff lesser salons do that put your health at risk. With my health phobias put to rest, I’ll add my nail technician was very thorough and was pleasant to chat with. Prices are totally fair, especially given the neighbourhood, and it’s a cute place to be when you just need a break from everything else. I’m hoping I can make this place one of my regular spots.

I thought this place was very good. The manicurist– I had a gel color manicure was extremely precise. My only complaint was that she didn’t soak my hands so it was very hard for her to push back and trim my cuticles. But her polish application was amazing! Every little detail was done and they had pretty sparkly top coats to use which is unusual for gel color. I would definitely go back again and try their pedicures too next time. Also they give you the nail file when you leave which is a nice touch.

What’s the opposite of spoiled? Uhmmm… neglected. That pretty much sums up my experience with Spoiled Nail Bar. From the moment I walked in, it setted the tone for this service. I arrived a few minutes earlier and the receptionist told me I had to wait for my manicurist because she was on coffee break. What??? Is this an office job or factory job? All service place I go to the server would try to quickly start the service or if I had to wait was because the server had to finish another job. I had a feeling my manicurist just finished beauty school because her techniques were pretty bad. My rationale: 1) Can’t properly trim the cuticle because nothing came out. She didn’t know how to hold the trimmer properly as a result my cutlcles hurted. 2) There’s an obvious gap between the nail polish and the nail bed. 3) The foot and hand massage was very weak. Since the place is brand new, the decore is pretty contemporary and fresh. Although I missed the traditional massage chairs and the foot tub that went along with it. I voiced my disappointment to management but I knew deep down they couldn’t do much with staff that had limited experience. My nails weren’t happy. They were screaming for love and attention!
