I have been coming here for haircuts for about a year after moving to Vancouver. My stylist is Andrew and I couldn’t be happier. He always gives an amazing cut, and I am a harsh critic! Great banter on every visit as well. Would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a new stylist!

Leo and Carson at the style lab are FANTASTIC — Leo does my husbands hair and it’s always great. Carson does my colouring, cutting and styling and I cannot explain how happy I am every time I leave, seriously beyond words. Carson is a colouring GENUIS.

Leo is absolutely amazing. He will always give an amazing cut followed by the best blow out of your life. No joke.

I have come here a couple times now to see Vanessa. She has given me a beautiful balayage and a very dramatic cut! (I went from long to stylishly short in one hour!) She always styles my hair perfectly — from beach waves to poker straight with tons of volume. The wash and head massage is so relaxing I wish it would go on forever…
The salon is huge, with many hair stylists and the owner Leo is super friendly and always there when I go in. He has a couple of cute dogs lying around too, perfect little mascots.
The location is a little off my usual path, but a good 15 minute walk from the downtown core. Not bad at all! (Especially when you get to visit a hair wizard!) I would totally recommend Vanessa, but don’t want to share her!

Christine Lee Song is a great stylist. I’m a very simple girl and she knows the limits of my abilities and gives me the right style that always continues to give me compliments. I totally recommend her. She’s fantastic with hair extensions that nobody will know are extensions.
The owner Leo Tioseco is very warm and inviting making his salon a pleasant experience, different the other salons that Christine has been at. Kudos to style lab and CLS!

Love it here. Leo cut and styled my hair. I didn’t have to tell him what to do, and just left if up to him. Great vibe, friendly service and the experience is fun. Highly recommended.

David is a perfectionist, and anyone who has sat in his chair can see his attention to detail, and note his well trained cutting skills of over 20 years. David has trained at Vidal Sassoon, and Toni and Guy, and is always keeping up to date with the latest trends. I love how my hair looks and feels after a hair appointment with him. I can get a few days of wear out of one of his smooth blow outs! I recommend him to my friends and to anyone who compliments my haircut or color. He is able to usually fit me in within a few days of booking and has been great to reach out to me if he has a cancellation. Everyone at this salon is independent, so you can call or text him directly to make an appointment. I love being able to deal with him directly.

Two days ago, I was contacted by David Martino’s wife, and business partner. She was calling to inquire as to whether I would take down portions of my previous Unilocal review of David in exchange for a refund from the disastrous appointment of July 2010. I feel a bit cheap for accepting this deal, since David promised me a refund 2 years ago and never delivered.
Alas, here we are. I have amended my previous Unilocal review and received my $ 160 refund.
…I think it’s best to be honest and tell you that on this phone call Mrs. Martino did mention her lawyer several times and implied legal action in the event we couldn’t find «another solution». I had to remind her to adjust her tone or I was simply going to hang up on her.
Life lesson: Can’t get a refund? Post an extremely honest review on Unilocal and you might get some action… even if it takes two years.

Leo is one of the best in Vancouver. I have been going to Leo for 10 years without a single problem. Absolutely on trend and understands how to cut a guys hair.

Awesome salon with fantastic natural light, super tidy and great Yaletown industrial feel. Received a great wash and trim from the latest edition to the team Scottie Dunn! Friendly, professional, knowledgeable AND handsome Scottie is wonderful stylist who did a great job on my doo!

Love this salon, love the space and how it looks, very clean and simple. Franco is my stylist, he’s been cutting my hair for years and I only trust him to do it. He knows exactly what i like and don’t like. If anybody is looking for a new stylist, definitely check out Franco at Style Lab!

This place is clean and very industrial/​Yaletown feel.
Dog friendly so it’s nice to watch them scatter around.
It seems necessary to mention that the stylist you choose is the most important aspect of this place.
My stylist is Franco.
He has a great personality that allows you to tell him with ease what you want from your hair cut and bring in suggestions of things you’ve seen.
I have very thick curly hair and it’s interesting to me that his approach is that he washes, dries, and straightens my hair and cuts it dry and straight!
It looks amazing straight in the fresh cut-​but even once I wash and get it curly again the layers work perfectly.
He’s out going and it makes for easy conversation. But sometimes I go in there and close my eyes and I don’t feel bad about doing it ha
