as a walk in, I agreed to come in early for your appointment, however, with walk ins sometimes no showing, we always call to confirm. I called you at 9:22am, to confirm you were still coming in. i have it in my call log (604−240-____) and you personally told me something came up and you’d have to reschedule for the 24^th. i said well you have my #, feel free to call me to re book. then my co worker tells me you end up showing up for the appointment? what part of «something came up and i have to reschedule» tells me to come in?

I love Style Lab! I’ve been seeing Vanessa there for a couple years and she is fantastic, hands down my favourite hairdresser of all time and I am very picky. I’ve recommended her to several people and they have all been very happy. The stylists are all very friendly and the salon has a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with lots of natural light and cute but not over-​the-​top décor.
They are a dog-​friendly salon so there tend to be a few little guys running around but that is not a problem for me. Some of them will adorably sit on your lap while you get your haircut, but only if you approve, of course.
There’s lots of metered parking on Beatty but watch out for game days at BC place because they sometimes shut the street down.

I had a booking on a TV show with day before only notice from agency — and who came to the rescue?- not my previous two regular hair-​dressers, na-​ah! ‘Twas James @ StyleLab who answered the phone & squeezed me in at the end of his long day of 7:30pm! to help me out! I’d remembered this place tucked next to my friends’ loft bldg foyer [next to 857 Beatty — btwn Robson+Smithe] and looked up # on SmartPhone. Without ever being introduced — nada — James took me in! and WOW oh wow — I went from a 6 mth old grown out ’70’s shag to a cool sleek man-​bob that’s very well classic yet cutting edge! ya shoulda seen the pile of hair on the floor. He has gr8 confidence and vision — OH and wonderful HEAD MASSAGE @ shampoo stn! And super gr8 price so I padded that with a decent tip! Thank you so much James! what an ASSET he is for StyleLab! totally recommend James!

Husband has been coming here for a couple months to see James, and I’ve spoken with him on the phone. He’s been getting the best haircuts of his life and I’m super pleased too! He even commented on how nice the scalp massages are, big deal for a guy! Hah!

I always get a great haircut here, good prices, friendly stylists.
