Not a big fan of Subway. Not sure is it because I am to tire to eat or just don’t have the appetite. Ordered the teryaki chicken and for some reason its kind of disappointing. The vegi inside the sandwich are very fresh looking but they don’t taste that great though. I have a feeling its because it’s near end of the day and the bread have been sitting in the oven for too long and the vegi have been sitting out too long . As well, I don’t think the guy toasted the sandwich enough. Eventhough I did see them toast it but it was cold when I got it.

Avoid the lobster sandwiches! I was all excited only to get disappointment. Although it has claw meat which I love, the machinery used to remove the shell mulches up the meat and leaves pieces of broken shell in it. Took a few bites, tasted like mush and bit into broken shell so I spat it out and threw it in the trash, waste of money. Store itself is small and clean, not busy, ok.

We only ever go here if we want something cheap(ie. $ 5 foot long) and close by. We once had a sandwich artist who actually fell asleep while making a sub. And she fell asleep two times while making ONE sub. That was pretty incredible. I don’t particularly go here when I’m craving something delicious. Only when I want something healthy and cheap(I usually get the veggie sub or a salad).

If you’re going to Subway you probably know what you’re going to get… a basic sandwich shop with veggies and deli meats. This Subway location is close to me; however, even though I’ve lived near this location for over a year, I have never gone in. With that said, my first visit will be my last. As far as the food goes, it’s just a Subway Sandwich shop, nothing more nothing less. However, the staff really do not instill any sort of desire to return. This seems to be the experience that most Unilocalers have written about this location and I agree with them 100%. The«sandwich artist» was quite rude and not really good at making the sandwiches. I went to Subway with my wife and on mine, the bread was completely mangled after the staff cut the bread. To add to things, I like a good amount of lettuce on my sandwich. However, with all toppings, the staff barely put any of the veggie(i.e. lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc) on the sandwich. When I asked if I could have a bit more lettuce, I was told«why would you want that? Your sandwich is fine!» I just a deep breath and sighed leaving it be. When my wife ordered and it came time to ask for a sauce she asked for BBQ sauce, to which the staff quipped«why do you want that? The teriyaki is better, I’m going to give you that.» My wife stood her ground and said«no BBQ sauce please», to which the staff did oblige. When it came to payment, we just wanted the sandwiches. The staff kept insisting we buy a drink, chips, cookie or make the sandwiches a combo. We didn’t want anything else, just the sandwiches. I can appreciate that a business can try to up-sell you, but the pushiness and rudeness of the staff was too much. On our way out another couple came in and the staff started to make their sandwiches. I saw just before we left the store the sandwich artist coughing over the newly prepared sandwiches and the customer full of shock and filling with anger. This just made me look at my sandwich as leaving and realizing I was about to roll the dice on the sanitary state of the sandwich in my hand. There is another Subway location 2 blocks away at the on Broadway by Oak. From now on I will have no hesitation to walk two more blocks to get better service and more hygienic food.

Whenever my fiancé and I don’t want to cook, but still want to eat something healthy, we go to Subway. This location is really close to our apartment, so we go here fairly often. It’s a small location(only a few tables), fairly clean, and well stocked with veggies and sauces. There’s never anyone in line when I go there between 5−7pm, which is a huge plus. I find the sandwich artist at this location can be really hit or miss. The one I had last night was pretty rude. It might have been a language barrier(he kept asking me to repeat myself), but he was really pushy about ordering a combo or a drink. When I told him no, he asked me why. Umm, because I don’t want to buy a drink here. I really wasn’t impressed with his attitude. However, he did make a great sandwich. Convenience will bring me back to this location, but if I had the choice, I would go elsewhere.

My Sandwich Artist was a mime! So skilled she only used her eyes and ever so slight body movement to make my sub and stared daggers into my eyes, as if to ask, «And what the(bleep) do you want on this thing?»(She didn’t speak; but her expression kind of said it all.) If I hadn’t been a hurry and hungry, too, I might have just walked out to find a friendlier sandwich shop — it’s not as though this stretch of West Broadway suffers from a lack of quick lunch places. On the bright side, the sandwich filled the hunger hole and tasted, well, pretty much like any other Subway sandwich I’ve ever had. But I would not go back here to get one.

Bad experience with a Filipina in her 40s, that apparently manages that place. Very rude, blantantly rude, psycho behaviour. I have no time for nonsense when i step to buy some lunch in the middle of a work day. Ridiculous. Subway needs to watch who they sell their name to.
