Just popped in to dodge the rain and plan some sightseeing. The staff were really friendly and the coffee excellent. Not bad for a corner shop location

Nothing fancy, but good espresso and friendly service. Convenient location in the mall attached to the Four Season’s hotel.

Best coffee/espresso in the mall. Good service and okay quick food options. Had a chocolate croissant on a Sunday morning and tasted old. Still good though.

One of the nicest places ever in DT where you get the action, comfortable seating, in a natural light atrium — oh yeah, forgot about the good coffee too ;)

OK for what it is. I’ve had coffee here more times than I can count. In the morning, in the evening, at noon, mid-afternoon, weekdays, weekends… It’s located in the rotunda area of Pacific Centre Mall on Gerogia and Howe Streets. There is quite a bit of seating on tables and nearby benches. The seating is quite occupied at lunch hour, but less so during non peak times. The coffee is OK — I usually get whatever brew they have. Nothing fancy. Pretty decent for what it is and not overly sour. I like this location because of the seating. There is a lot of foot traffic and you can peep watch.

Coffee is better than other chain coffee shops, but still not worth it… They carry surprisingly good tiramasu though, and carrot cake. The pastas are a waste of money. I guess if you are in dire need of some food, like I was, you could try them, but they aren’t very flavourful! Be warned. The only redeeming quality is that they carry Harney and Sons teas. delicious! Get a tea latte. Paris, Bombay, Indian Spice, Earl Gray; whatever you fancy. :)

Came here to try their coffee. It’s a bit curious as it’s located in the round rotunda area, away from the stores. There is plenty of traffic, but everyone is transiting through from the street to the stores. Parking is available underground as this is part of Pacific Centre. The seating area takes up a lot of space, but the extremely wide benches used meant that people would hog them, and 2 people would sit in a spot that would accomodate 4 if tables and chairs were used. Oh, and I couldn’t find a comfortable area to stand without getting the sun in my face as there is no shade at all in this location. Maybe some people would enjoy this but I didn’t. I had to hold my hand up to my eyes while waiting for my coffee. The coffee itself wasn’t bad. Then again, I also think Starbucks tastes good, so what do I know.

Super good coffee, and the Co-Owner Dean is super nice. I went to their shop on Venables, and it was great. They use a high quality Syrup that’s better then the type at Starbucks so you know your coffee is going to be the best around. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly nice! I’m always a little suspicious of coffee shops in shopping malls, but my latte here was lovely! The lady behind the till was friendly and chatty, and made me feel welcome. The latte itself was nice and smooth and creamy, my fave type! Not expensive either :) There’s not a ton of seating for the café itself, but loads in the surrounding area. On to shopping!

An oasis in the madness they call the mall I hate shopping, and I hate malls. I get dragged out shopping too often. When I am dragged to a mall, it’s torture! And since I work a block from Pacific Centre Mall, this is the torture of choice. Enter Take 5 Café. Seeing Take 5 under the glass dome at Howe and West Georgia really is a refreshing sight. A variety of coffee, tea, and refreshments(my favourite being their Italian Cream Sodas), as well as loads of comfortable seating under the dome. Recently the seating has been improved and expanded. So now my torture can have a reprieve. Yay Take 5! I haven’t tried any of their sandwiches and pastries, but they have those too.

This place is awesome. I haven’t been there in a few years. I used to go every Monday — Friday when I used to work in the same building. The service is great, and the quality of the drinks/food is always excellent. The prices are a bit high, but definately worth it. Try the green tea latte if they still have it, I used to order it all the time. I really like the service there, it was exceptionally great considering they always upsized my drink for free cause I was a Reg.

If you’re downtown with a half-hour to spare(maybe before an interview, or transit just deposited you in situ early) this Take 5 is the perfect place to loiter. Grab a coffee(the dark roast is good!) and either sit in the massive glass atrium of Pacific Center, or in the comfy chairs a little further in that are set up as a mall-style café. I prefer the atrium to the café — it’s so nice to soak up some of Vancouver’s rare winter sunlight. I was a regular here for about six months and wasn’t overly impressed with the level of regular recognition. Having worked in a coffee shop for four years I’ve got a good handle on ID-ing regulars. Not a significant gripe though. This is probably my favorites coffee shop in Vancouver in the«awesome place to sit» category.

I have been visiting the people at this take 5 for bout 2 years now, bout 5 times a week. They have always been incredibly nice and the staff are quick and efficient. the best part is they are always there for me even at 7:30 am… and they are conveniently located in the atrium of Pacific centre, so when your out and about doing your retail therapy you can always count on them to be there. I would have given you 5 stars but you are always out of Morning Glory muffins, and they rock the Casbah! come to think of it…5 times a week… times 42… times 2… holy crap thats a down payment on a condo! well… almost, at least another morning glory muffin.

Located right under the infamous Pacific Centre dome, Take 5 Café is ideally situated to aid all those in dire need of a caffeine fix. European style coffees are their specialty but their menu is, nonetheless, all encompassing. Various kinds of tea are available as well as a decent assortment of snacks and pastries. They offer a reasonably healthy assortment of sandwiches and paninis to offset the sorely tempting array of pastries(cinnamon buns, chocolate croissants, et al). Take 5 Café is ideal for anyone on the go…
