A decent place with decent food and drinks. I love their korean kimchi hotpot or Seafood Tofu hotpot. The stir fried noodles with beef is good too. Drinks are just average nothing fancy. Definitely a go-to spot if you happen to be in the neighborhood and wants to sit down and relax. It is the best to go in between lunch and dinner time. This place gets really busy at night. The KOREANBBQBEEF rice is awesome too. However, parking is so competitive in this area. Waiting time can be long if you go during meal time.

The place looks pretty awesome. It’s big, decent presentations, and good location for the neighbourhood. The bubble tea, on the other hand, is nothing special. They use mostly artificial flavour from watching them make our 4 drinks. Lots of powders and sugar. The resulting taste is very very sweet and unsatisfying.

I couldn’t figure out how come the rating of this place is so low. We come here around once a month. The food is decent, price is good. Their tea is one of the best in town. The only down side of this place is the waiting time(not always).

Probably not as bad as it sounds, but a 3-star would imply it’s ok to return, which I haven’t been for some time lol. Service sure could use a few more smiles, I remember it’s not as happy compared to Pearl Castle or Ming Tak… and that’s not even a real bbt place either. Good for the locals here but I’d rather drive 15min. to Richmond for the ambience too. good corner location, that’s probably their saving grace.

2.5 stars. I’d eaten here before, and decided to go here to pick up bbt for my friend who was arriving at the airport, so obviously I was in something of a rush. I stopped by here and it wasn’t too busy, there were some empty tables. I ordered a regular milk tea with coconut jelly and a taro slush with pearls, and proceeded to wait at the counter… …and wait… …and wait… After a good 15(FIFTEEN. FORBBT) minutes I complained to the server and she rushed behind the counter to help the guy there make my order. She got it done in 4 minutes flat but she made my order wrong AND didn’t give me straws. Plus her attitude was so sour by that point I had to watch to make sure she didn’t spit in my drink or anything. Bbt here is average, but it’s the only bbt place in the whole area. My taro slush had huge ice chunks and my friend’s milk tea had pearls instead of jelly. Their pearls were inconsistently cooked, some were still stiff while others were perfectly soft. PS. Even though the guy behind the counter was a bit slow and inefficient, he was really careful about his drinks. He made a watermelon slush that came up to about an inch underneath the rim of the cup, so he went back and made more so that the cup would be completely full — props to you, slow man! TL;DR: Slow service, somewhat rude. Average bbt with below average pearls. Food is definitely worse than whats in Richmond, but it’s the only place in the area.

I came here before my Weight Watchers meeting to get a fruit drink to satisfy my sweet tooth in a healthy manner. I bought a basic strawberry watermelon fruit juice, nothing added, just the basic. I should’ve been charged $ 4 with tax = $ 4.48, however, was charged $ 4.75? I know that it’s a difference of 27 cents, however, I still felt that being overcharged in any capacity was wrong. There was someone behind me, therefore, felt embarrassed about bitching about 27 cents, therefore, instead I paid the whole amount in nickles and dimes. If she felt the need to overcharge me and give herself a 27 cent tip for putting 7 pieces of fruit in a blender than I felt that she needed my nickels and dimes. The smoothy itself was decent, you can mess up a basic watermelon strawberry smoothy. I found that the lady serving me was really rude and condescending. She gave me a WTF look ’cause…god forbid… I didn’t want pearls in my bubble tea(oh the horror).

When this place first opened, it was always busy especially since the location is excellent for attracting customers. However, this place has really gone down hill. Every time I come here, the baristas are superb, attentive, and efficient. The food comes out fast which translates to having hardworking kitchen staff. The décor is clean and decorated but the absence of a waiting area leaves customers awkwardly standing in the middle of aisles, between tables, waiting for their take-out. The waitresses are what you expect at any bubble tea restaurant. Unfortunately, the one I had last time was not attentive and created a bit of a negative atmosphere. In my experience, the waitress dropped portions of my food on ground, never came back with a fresh new batch nor followed up, and then charged me for the full amount with no apologies. Management needs to understand the importance of service and making customers feel welcomed and appreciated otherwise they won’t be returning.

This was one of the first hangout cafes in the neighbourhood, and I used to study here — alright in the quiet afternoon, if not for the not-so-quiet blenders. No matter, bubble and pudding tea here are delish, so are the deep fried tofu and skinny spring rolls, which I can’t seem to find anymore. Generally appies and drinks are great, but when venturing into bigger plates, I’d say it requires trained taste buds as the dish we ordered(can’t remember which — hot pot?) was very fishy, and unappetising. Décor was trendy, and atmosphere is buzzing, especially with local youngins at night.

This is my go-to hang out place when my and my friends want a quick bite to eat. I love the quick service, and I tried the seafood udon for the first time, and it was amazing. Order it with a side of kimchi. This is a cash only place, but there are 4 different banks within the block radius, so it’s not a big deal. There’s nothing too special about the BBT, but they have never gotten my order wrong.

They used to be a 4 but have dropped to a 2: Watch that they make your order(they forgot my strawberry green tea for 20 mins when they were busy once) and the food has become less delicious. The strawberry green tea also used to gave huge chunks of strawberries in it, but has decreased to one lone berry. It is the sole BBT place in this area so you can hold out for somewhere in Richmond, go to starbux across the way, or get your fix in and remember the good ol days when they first opened. 16⁄30 Unilocal challenge

Pretty average BBT. I’ve had some great ones there, and I’ve also had some poorly made ones. I guess it just depends on who’s behind the counter that day… Their servings(of BBT) are fairly large if you get it not to go. Service is always good – fast and friendly. Décor is… what you’d expect from a BBT place(they still had Valentine’s day decorations up last time when I went). Overall, decent enough for me to be a repeat customer, but I can’t give it any sort of a rave review. Cash Only.

I was craving for a BBT and stopped by for a take out. I ordered a green milk tea with pearls but was quickly disappointed. The milk tea was average and not green tea taste at all. I’m not sure why they’re still so busy on Friday night and kept me waited for 20 mins for 1 milk tea to go.

Feels like Bubble World trying to be more classy. The same overly-sweet-fake-flavoured-probably-powder bbt I discovered as a tween. CASHONLY.

Good place to come for tea with friends & prices are good. As is the norm with Asian tea joints the food is high in sodium & oil so I don’t eat at places like these.

A 3 dressed up as a 9… Went here quite a few times to check out the menu and the selections of bubble and milky teas. Never could figure out what was up with the place until it occurred to me: The service is terrible. Food is only half-decent, half of the time and otherwise is sub-par. Meh. I’ve had much, much better.

Finally tried some food here – I had the green onion pancake. Very good! Crispy, onion-y, and the sauce that came with it was super spicy. It went excellent with my chocolate almond milk tea.

Came here for a bbt. Place is pretty packed every night, thanks to there being no real competition in this area. Service is a bit lacking, due to the fact that there were only 2 people running the whole place. Orange yogurt bubble tea — looks like they used syrup instead of powder, yay! Nice big cup(some 600mL) at $ 4. Salty peppery chicken — big variation in chunk size. Some had to be broken up into 2 pieces, while others were the size of peanuts. It was also a bit cold. The batter was tasty though.

I go to this bbtea joint because it’s convenient and close to my house. The food is alright if you know what to order. One of my favorite bbtea eats is fried squid tentacles. This place has no clue how to make it properly. The batter is like some gelatinous glue like substance so I wouldn’t recommend that. The hot pots and the rices are ok, good for a quick meal. Biggest complaint is the not so bright waitresses. Seriously stop talking at the bar and take our order! If you want to get served by 16 year old air heads then this is the place to go.

I didn’t expect much from this place, since it’s right across the street from an elementary school. However, it’s convenient — right on 41st and Victoria! — so sometimes I get lazy and go there after I get off the bus… It’s basically a crapshoot, some days you get okay bubbles, some days they taste mushy and decomposed. I got bubble milk tea a few times and they were way too rich. All milk, no flavor. They’ve got the standard food choices although you’d be better off going to a dim sum place — any dim sum place.

So I came here for the bubble tea, no food. However, the food looked good that I was staring so hard at my neighbours and they thought I was strange. The bubble tea was a big disappointment. I got pineapple green tea with pearls and the bane of this drink’s existence was the use of Jasmine green tea. The strong flavour of jasmine does not mesh well with the pineapple and imparts a bitter flavour! One of our party’s Watermelon-Strawberry slush with pearls was very very sweet. And another person’s strawberry milk slush was alright. This is the first time ever that I didn’t finish my bubble tea beverage. boo… And left $ 5 less in my wallet.
