After visiting a couple of stores in the States, I was very disappointed at the lack of customer service displayed by the two or three staff working last night. I saw two people behind the counter so assume they work there and there may have been a third, There was nothing that distinguish themselves from the handful of shoppers in the store. And by nothing I mean, a greeting, a welcoming smile, a rush to sell you something so they can increase their commission — maybe that’s it. Maybe they don’t get commission, so they don’t care if you buy anything or not. The selection and prices are what you expected, but I have no reason to actually go back to the store. I’d rather order on-line than take the time(a whole 10 minutes) to actually go back in to the store. I felt for my husband who really likes their clothing and has a number of key pieces he wanted to add to. And he had such high hopes.. .. .

When you shop as much as in States, these stores don’t cut it anymore lol. Well, still nice to have this new store here at PC. Got a bit of westcoast flare in the back with the wooden beams and all. Truthfully, it’s a bit cramped. Not as many accessories. Style overall is still nice and prices reasonable, in fact, better choice for $ 185 than at Holt’s. As per pic, the inside lining for the buttons and cuffs are sweet. Decent men’s section, kinda surprising considering its roots or to their New York store. Customer service, meh.

Good: Nice-looking store with nice clothing and accessories for men and women that make great gifts. Bad: You have to give up your name, phone number and email address in order to make a purchase. Sales associates have no discretion. I purchased a shirt for my partner here, and we went together to exchange it for a different size. The sales people flashed the price on the screen, loudly announced that the balance owing was zero dollars and then tried to give him the receipt with the price written on it. Poor form.

I’ve been to the Ted Baker in both LA and London and they have better selection than here. In fact the selection here was very disappointing, generic and didn’t pop at me in terms of convincing me that it was anything special compared to the other places in the mall. I was so excited that this place finally opened in Vancouver only to be severely disappointed when walking in. Customer service is great which is why it at least gets a 3 star review. Do yourself a favor and order on-line.

I like this store. It’s the first stand alone Ted Baker store in the lower mainland. The fashions here are best described as high end hipster. Then again, if u were a hipster, why would u pay a lot of money to be a fashionista hipster? =P So I stay away from the hipsterish stuff and get the more traditional menswear. The designs are slightly more edgy. The sports coats are slightly shorter with the detailing a little more avante garde. You’ll have to come here and see for yourself. Located in the underground section beneath the old, renovated Sears,(post renovated Eatons).
