Great place! The guy that works there is very friendly! cheap food and it tastes great! I got the Donair and man that was one of the best I ever had. Pizza had a nice snap except the sauce was a little sour but I loved it

Been eating pizza here for years! Even before they moved to this location. Pizza is mediocre but what always brings me back is the owner. Super hard working and very kind man. He runs the whole store alone but yet always has a smile on his face when you come in. Donairs are very good as well. Super quick but tasty!

I haven’t tasted the donairs that everyone raves of. However, I have tried their pizza, and it’s okay. I blame the lack of foot traffic ordering it resulting in it not being fresh. I will try the donair next time!

Best donairs in the city, it’s our go To place for the best cheap eats when we are to lazy to cook.

I grab lunch here seldomly as I work near VanCity Pizza. I always order the same thing — one regular size donair on whole wheat for $ 4 incl tax. It’s always the same guy that runs the place when I go. He always looks busy because he runs the whole show. I really like that he has a panini press and presses my donair. I choose all my veggies and which type of filling I want. The guy really counts how many slices of cucumbers, tomatoes, etc he gives you and is really cheap on that — but i’m not really picky on my veggies(except for raw onions, eww) so I usually choose everything and fills it up. After you choose which meat you want, you choose a sauce — tzaziki, hot, hummus, etc and he presses for you if you want! Nice and healthy quick lunch. I only grab-and-go but there is some seating inside along the bar and a couple small tables near the back.

Been going here since way before Shud moved to his new location down the street but nothing really has changed, still my favourite place to get pizza in Vancouver. The donairs are also amazing, and everything is super cheap too!

Forget the pizza — Love love love the donairs here! There is no cheaper, better eats in this CITY, let alone this hood. I always get the regular chicken for $ 3.50 and load it with veggies on a whole wheat pita and feel fabulous about myself, while my husband gets a super loaded beef or lamb dripping with garlic sauce, a coke & a slice of pizza on the side — and we both feel like winners! I have been to tons of other places seeking the same quality for the price and it doesn’t happen — most of the time you would be paying double for something half as good on the Granville strip or Davie… I can’t imagine a week where I will not frequent this place at least once, it’s that good.

I come here all the time. After school, after work and even for lunch. I gotta say love their donairs. $ 3.50 for a donair on the run is awesome. The owner of the place does everything himself. Even on a busy day and he’s running around like crazy, he’s still able to put up that smile towards his customers. Got give that guy some credit man. Why I wouldn’t give it a 5 star rating cause I believe there’s still improvement with the store such as hours. The owner has this things where he opens when he wants to sometimes. I’ve been by once and saw it closed even though it say they r open. Overall a good place to try out in the neighborhood.

The donairs are like a poor man’s Mangal Kiss( ). They have lightly pickled beets and hummus and that chopped-up parsley thing available as toppings, starting at $ 3.50 for the Regular one! That’s enough for me. I like their sweet sauce, too. I’ve never tried the pizza here.

inedible pizza, could have been because it was 20 minutes. Baklava was good and large, though.

I don’t know why, but there are an abundance of pizza shops within a 5 block section of Hastings east of Nanaimo. Vancity Pizza has relatively thick slices and is a little better than some of the other pedestrian choices around. Definitely not a gourmet pizza shop, but if you are hungry and want a slice or two, this shop seems to be popular with the locals and there’s even a small sit down area where you can gobble down your ‘za. This is an old building with character, as are so many in this part of town and the beautiful and weathered old wooden floor has a lot of stories to tell, but this whole stretch of Hastings is slated for development within a year or two, so, sadly, there may not be too many more stories to tell.

Nom Nom Nom. Once again, another winner near where I work. On average I eat this pizza about once a week. It’s good, simple style pizza for a buck 25. Get 2 slices and a pop for $ 3. Kinda greasy but that’s what happens when cheese melts. The owner/operater guy is super nice too. I’ve never seen another person working there but him. Single slice pizza places and chains are getting too complicated with the toppings these days. I’m sticking with this place.
