Wifi: pretty good, no fuss. It seems like there are no power plugs, but it’s just that they are well hidden. There is a countertop with chairs running along the window on the right, facing the street. Plugs on the underside of the countertop(not by the floor). Good location, airy high ceilings, South-facing high windows. This is a good space to come on a sunny day and even has a little patio. Could do with some more comfortable chairs however. Functional and plastic, but that’s it. Coffee’s good. Food seems pretty run of the mill.

Waves coffee is delightfully delicious! Unique flavors, rich coffee taste! Wow! I loved the Belgian mocha. Friendly staff, liked the modern atmosphere. Can’t wait to return!

I was really impressed with this Waves location. I went in and saw people drinking out of to-go cups, and asked if they offered mugs for patrons staying in, and they said they offer the option. The woman who made my drink was very friendly, as was the man who took my order. It was a quiet location, good for reading a book or watching the city go by.

They make a decent lavender latte(limited time only). This location is not as busy as the others for something that is on Robson. I guess this gets missed for the other major chain. Barista was friendly and had a good attitude about making some drink adjustments for me to suit my culinary needs.

I used to go here before my physio. appointments. waves is a horrible knock off from BG and Blenz chains, with wooden service, cheap furniture and food of questionable quality. Their coffee is decent, however.

Decent drinks, good service, awkward space. I popped in here for a meeting with some folks as it was just around the corner from their office. We grabbed our drinks, which were promptly made, and found a spot. The space is a bit of an odd shape, so you do have to do a bit of hunting to find seats — we ended up at the bar style seating near the door, which is fine. I had an almond milk London Fog, and it was pretty good — warm and wet, as my mum would say! The service was speedy — they’re clearly used to having a lot of people through the door. A good place for a quick meeting or to grab a coffee and run, but not somewhere I’d spend hours just reading a book and relaxing!

So I wanted something different and went for the apple cider. What a waste of $ 4. It is just syrup with hot water. Absolutely no flavour. Very disappointing. The London Fog is also very bland.

!!! if you’re food intolerant beware!!! Have recently started coming here regularly and have been happy until now. Asked the person behind the counter(very young Caucasian female with glasses) if they had any dairy free smoothie type drinks. I specified it had to contain no milk products on 4 occasions before ordering. She whipped me up a «non fat yoghurt» smoothie. Seeing the word ‘yoghurt’ on the carton she poured from, I checked again that it was dairy free and was told in no uncertain terms that it was. I got my drink and went outside. When tasting, it definitely tasted of milk. I went back in and asked to see the carton… Sure enough, it contained milk. I asked for a refund. She tutted, rolled her eyes and started getting ready to make me a new drink. I asked again for a refund, «no we can make you another one» I was told. I had to ask repeatedly for a refund which I was eventually given. The other assistant apologised. My day was basically ruined because I had to rush home to get medication thanks to the incompetence of the staff. Not sure if I’ll be returning. Thanks waves!

As chain coffee goes, Vancouver seems to have a knack for create inviting spaces and consistently pleasant coffee. I felt welcome here, and the coffee wasn’t too bad. Super spacious location near BC Place with a great view of the city streets. It’s not a prime destination for me or anything, but if I need a place to pit stop and get some coffee during a busy day, this is probably going to be one of my go-tos. They also have a weird little corner meeting room with all glass walls.

Convenient location and very close to the BC Place. Most of the staffs are so lovely! But they’re is a gal(I believe she might be the supervisor or something) who’s doing the night shift… She was getting so cranky when it was the month of January… Their famous latte was 2 $ for the whole month… I still don’t really understand that she was bothered by the fact I ordered a coffee for TOGO and a goodie FORHERE. What’s the problem is? You hate your job or the fact you will have to use a paper cup? Also she was also kinda of laughing at the customers just before me… Simply because the girl was not quiet sure about the kinda of the she will order… SO rude… Anyway… I had ENOUGH of her bad attitude(you can crack a GENUINE smile sometimes that would help). So I am NOT going at this location anymore. Well located but just too bad… I’m now going at the 24h location on Richard instead…

Came in looking for a prepaid gift card to thank a coworker with. staff behind the bar were dumbfounded(both were«regional office» managers visitng the store) «we don’t have those at this location.» … Really? you’re a franchise coffee shop SURROUNDED by competitiors like JJBean, Starbucks, and other privateers, and you don;t use gift cards? c’mon guys get with the program — I want to support the local businesses as opposed to Starbucks, but you’re making it hard to do it. Went up the street and grabbed one from JJBean.

Yep, it’s another coffee shop, with specialty coffees and teas and eats and free wifi. It’s got a board room in the back that you can rent for meetings and such. The meeting space is a nice touch. I’d say you could comfortably fit 6 – 8 people in there. The shop is always clean. The employees are on their game any time I’ve been in. They do a good job of keeping the consistency of what you’d expect from any other Waves location. So on that note, if you like Waves elsewhere, you’ll enjoy this one too. If you’re super into your coffee experience, small batch roasting, etc, I’d skip.

The couches was the only thing good about Waves. I went this waves location on expecting to be able to use the Entertainment coupons that said were redeemable at this location. Much to my surprise when the barrister asked me to see the coupons and told me that«these were not redeemable at this location». She told me that the owner«does not allow these coupons to be used and he would kill her if she took them». Also, it was disheartening to hear the barrister say that, «Don’t tell the owner/manager that I told you this because he wouldn’t like it, but Frappes are 2.00 between 3 and 6 pm.» I thought I would get off the Starbucks bandwagon, but I believe I made the wrong decision. I will never come back to a place where they threaten their employees if they honour a valid coupon or offer. Also, the quality of their drinks are not very good.

Nicest Waves Ive been to, and I thought the Poco Shaughnessey was the bomb! What takes the cake is the sectioned off areas, plus the communal bar counter, as well as the action window seating at the front ;) Plus the high loft, glass floor to ceiling for great natural light. Better place to bring a coffee date instead of Starbucks. For the time being, if you buy a $ 25 Gift card, you get a free medium coffee… Found the service a bit aloof the other day.

My friend and I have to work on business stuff about 3 times a week, and during the rainy days we’ve somehow ended up making this our second home as it’s in between our places. Neither of us our coffee drinkers, but we have nothing but praise for this surprise gem of a franchise. Sure, on the surface there’s nothing that really sets it apart from any other place like Blenz, Starbucks, Second Cup, JJ Bean etc –but after spending so much time here I’ve gotta give it a great review for a few reasons. 1) The staff is extremely nice, and they go out of there way to always ensure we’re taken care of, and they’re always friendly to us –even when we’re there for 4 to 5 hours. 2) They have a small meeting room. We don’t always get it, but when we do, it makes our meetings even better with the added privacy. I’ve not seen this type of thing anywhere else. 3) Despite the fact that I may come off as a pretentious stereotype hipster, sitting on my laptop in a coffee shop, I am furthest from it. As such, I’ve never really explored what probably makes them great, but I have had a lot of their food, dessert and some teas. They have a great selection of teas, some unique flavours, and surprisingly amazing food. The sandwiches are great, huge servings, and their dessert is equally tasty. Again, I feel strange recommending a franchised coffee place, but this Waves in particular is great!

Horrible service. Since there are so many other coffee joints in that area, why not go somewhere else with better coffee, service and food? Only redeeming quality is the free Wifi.

Popped by with my friend so that she could grab some tea and we could use wifi. She enjoyed her tea until she spilled half of it on the table. ;o) The staff was very friendly, and the location was nice and clean.

Andddd back again for more tea. I like the girls that work there :) cute, but tonight, they don’t really know their teas. So I had a coffee. But the coffee was just warm and had to ask for another, which they were just brewing. So it was a much better cup of java. They didn’t seem too attentive on what they were serviing. I think the owner was there and it was slightly distracting them? Maybe new nervous staff.

Came here for a random coffee. Place is brand spanking new. As with all other locations, Waves has Wi-fi. Service was very courteous and friendly. Maybe this is true across the whole chain, but this location has sugar-free sweetener and honey sweetener(Starbucks-style) available at the cream + sugar station. This is definitely welcome as I actually prefer this to traditional sugar packs. Easier to mix. Oh, and the wide glass front is nice for watching people walking by.
