I’ve been going here ever Wednesday for the last year for the trivia night. The food is great, the beer flows like the salmon of Capistrano, and the service is spot on. All thumbs up from this guy! P. s. The siracha chicken burger, the Mac and cheese, and the poutine are the terrific trifecta of taste. Hardest part is choosing which one to have… Either way, you won’t be disappointed.

Love the loungy vibe of this place. They have a back room with a large big screen TV and a secondary small one. A few tables and some comfortable couches to relax on. A karaōke machine might be available. Not sure if this area is reservation only or not. They even have some old arcades to pass the time. Service was friendly and quick for a pub. Not overly noisy. Definitely will be a place I’ll be going back too in the future.

First time there. Service is excellent. Drinks are OK(had a bellinni and ginger ale(designated driver). Cost is average… definitely going again.

4 stars for the food(I know, I’m equally surpised) and 5 for service. I had the peroggies, which had some lovely caramelized onions, nice texture and good flavour. But the real story is Kat. This server will blow your mind. She managed a group of some 25+ lawyers single handedly and knew everyone by name. She slings drinks like a pro. It’s like she could go out and get whatever she wants in this world and she is choosing to bring you a beverage, so tip her well, one of this good are hard to come by.

First be warned that they are a cash or credit — no debit — bar. Okay now that you know that… They have a great door separated back area perfect for large group gatherings like the one I attended last night. Mousehead beer was on special and was awesome. Personally some of the food items seemed a bit over priced at $ 14 for a pub entrée but that could just be my opinion. The chicken tenders I ordered were laid(three flat pieces) over fries and served with a runny honey ginger dip I had sworn the waitress had said was honey mustard. It was still good. Evening end it proved too greasy for me — which was surprising and not a problem I’ve had before. Not sure I would order food if I go again.

Some places have daily food specials, so if there’s something you are interested in, or if you feel the regular prices there are daunting, you can try going on a particular day. Yagger’s Downtown has a special every day, and on Wednesdays it is Pulled Pork Tacos at $ 2.29 each with purchase of a drink. Pulled Pork Tacos(3 for $ 10.99) smoked pulled pork, bbq sauce & buttermilk slaw on flour tortillas — Tasty for all the wrong reasons: You taste the salty-covered-by-sweetness bbq sauce, and that’s about it. Might as well have skipped the slaw. — Price is OK and comparable to La Tacqueria and other locations. Here you just get the one flavour, and stronger/saltier than the more authentic tacquerias. — Wet: Pulled pork is basically drowned in sauce, so watch out when tipping your taco as leaking is all but guaranteed. — The shell is big so the filling looks small, but the amount of filling is actually OK compared to tacquerias that use the smaller, thicker, shell. — The big shell actually helps you not make a mess since you can pinch together and fold over the top, making a wrap, thereby limiting spills to either end. — If you pinch closer to one end, you can make the end further from you narrower, further making it unlikely the fillings will toothpaste out the far end when you bite.

We went there for happy hour yesterday and the place was half full with regulars. The servers knew them all by name and the rapport was fantastic. They were extremely accommodating to the sports tv requests and so nice. We stayed for a couple hours and felt right at home. Food was decent and drink special was good. Awesome atmosphere for a smaller pub style. Perfect spot for a low key chilling area. The two lady servers were awesome.

Staff was super friendly and I was impressed with their beer selections. The food was fantastic. I had the beef dip while my boyfriend has the bison burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had. The pale ale au jus that came with the beef dip was so savoury and yummy. Could have done without the Cajun seasoning on the French fries but it didn’t ruin my meal. Would go again. Our bill was around $ 65.00 for the two entrees, an appetizer of calamari and four beers so not bad at all.

They over charged our bill because we were drunk and they knew they could get away with it. We work at an high end hotel so the servers thought they could get more money out of us … good job I won’t be back.

Good bar, nice menu, and great service! There isn’t a huge selection of beer, but there were 5 – 6 to choose from including some«local» seasonals. It was a well enough chosen collection, there was something for everyone even without heading to the bottled selections. The menu has some great stuff on it. I particularly liked the bison chorizo chili and the yam fries. The food came out pretty quick and plenty hot! Napkins, silverware, etc were already on the table before the food showed up — score! Lots of televisions around and plenty of good places for groups of 4 – 6 to hang out and chat. The service is great. Very attentive and makes sure the conversations are well lubricated with drinks as desired. Easy to find location as it sits in the shadow of the giant RAMADA sign on Pember.

We went here for wings because we heard they were good. They were OK. Yes they were fresh and we got our food quickly, but I found the flavor kind of lacking. We ordered 4 different kinds, the Jägermeister, Baja spice, Caribbean jerk and S&P. I’m personally not a huge fan of Jägermeister so that’s probably why I didn’t enjoy those ones, the Caribbean jerk were pretty bland, when you order jerk you expect a bit of spice! The Baja spice were the best of the bunch, but even those I found to be just average, too much heat and not enough flavor! They were out of the beer that I wanted to order. The rest of the menu was pretty standard sports bar fare. Average prices, about $ 14 for a burger. Our wings were half off since it was Tuesday, but I wouldn’t pay the $ 11 for them on a regular day.

Heard they had killer wings, was not disappointed. We tried 3 flavours which I can’t exactly remember the names… Jäger, the Asian one, and Maple Baha Q. All were very good — Amazing flavour and texture, though the sweet & hot Maple Baha Q was by far my favourite of the 3. I also ordered the cow burger with regular fries. The fries were nothing special, but the burger was pretty good. They had a bit of a unique spin to it, can’t remember if it was the sauce or patty or both… Would’ve been ace they used a different bun, as the insides started seeping through the buns halfway through the meal. Service was decent… ish. –_– The server acknowledged she was having an off day, so that’s forgivable. Won’t stop me from going back! Definitely a must try! Get the wings, you won’t regret it!!!

Atmosphere: Average sports bar. Service: Average sports bar service. Food: Below decent. We ordered the cowburger and the pulled pork sloppy joe. The cowburger was recommended by waitress. Very tasty. Unfortunately, the patty covers only 75% of the bun. So, either you eat 75% of the burger and throw the rest or, as an Asian that was taught not to waste ANY food, you will eat the rest of the 25% without patty and smear a bit of the sauce from rest of the burger to help with the dryness. Pulled pork sloppy joe. Same thing re: meat in burger except this one is not tasty at all. Drinks: Average sports bar prices. They usually have 1 beer on special.

Since I don’t drink, I can only review from the food perspective of this bar restaurant. They generously donated their backspace for a meetup event I attended, and during which I ordered 2 servings of their store specialty wings: Jagermeister glaze(like a teriyaki flavour) and Maple BBQ(sweet tangy). Both sets of wings are freshly fried and came out to about 10 pieces, definitely delicious, even better at the promo price of $ 7 instead of $ 10. place is like your typical bar that I know some of my friends will find comforting, dark and narrow high bar seats in the corridor, with a wider front and back space. Great for if you have a function! The bartender was really good of keeping track of what’s ordered on the computer system. Might swing by for their wings again next time I am in this part of town.

I really like this place! Super casual and really good food. I have been going there on game days recently because they have amazing grain fed wings and they are half price or something crazy like that! Also, the Greek salad is great I can never get enough of it. The service staff is really nice and easy to chat with, its never too packed and there are tons of TVs. I usually park right on the corner of Richards by Bang on hair salon, I think it’s 3 $ for a half hour or something similar so not too pricey :) Nothing bad to say about this place at all, I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve been well over a dozen times :)

Great bar for drinks, and not just for the sports, as we like sitting up there with the TVs, but when there’s room for the front lounge seats, which almost looks like a hotel lobby, we grab these too, for best eye candy action. As with most bars, their chicken wings & poutine are their signature items but will try their burgers Given how busy here, it’s amazing how good their customer service is. Good for the tourists who stay at the Delta & Ramada. Decent metered parking on Richards St.

…How about ‘No’? I have to thank the reviewers who point out that their reviews are totally biased because I can see why now. I was completely charmed when I walked in. And then… Do I want to say«worst $ 25 I have ever spent»? Perhaps not. First off, our waitress was a darling; but before that, there was a man, an annoying little man, who seemed to be running the place(a little?) and clearly could not be bothered that we had arrived and seated. We were shown to the bar area first, and I had asked if it would get any noisier than it already was, i.e. will the music get any louder? He went: «…When people start talking. Ya.». Oh, thank you. I would never have guessed that. I decided not to ask any more and instead, told him we’d take the table in the dining area. He said: «OK». We show ourselves to the dining area and sit down for a good 5 minutes. Where are the menus? I looked around us. I’m quite sure they can handle 4 tables. Nevertheless, I decided to self-serve. So, I approached the workers talking near the bar and ask for menus. The annoying man could not be bothered. Finally, we get our menus. We ordered their Friday special Bellinis($ 6.25), Bison Burger($ 14.50) for me, and the Salmon(they did not have Halibut!) and Chips for my friend. Bellinis: B– & watery Bison Burger: B– As you can see, nothing is cheap here either. Why would I *choose* to come here? I won’t, that’s why. After the completely underwhelming meal and Bellini, we decided to leave.

What a neat gem. On the outside it looks like any other bar you might see. You walk in and again, regular old bar look. I was not expecting the food to be good at all. In fact I was dreading it. Wow was I shocked. I went to 3 – 4 places for fish and chips while on the coast and never did I have better fish & chips than at Yagger’s. Really good fish — tender and flaky delicate batter. Not greasy at all. Delicious Cole slaw(I normally hate slaw but this was really good and creamy). oh and I had yam fries instead of regular ones. Very good but a little too salty and could have used some pepper in the season Beer selection was limited, but it is a smaller bar and there was enough local craft beers to satisfy. It’s nice not to be limited to the In-Bev masses.

This was seemingly the only place in the area serving food on a Sunday night. I ordered the surf and turf Sunday special and the Hubster had… something else. The food was fine, service was friendly and the place had a really relaxed atmosphere, which was something we needed right then. The Hubster was able to watch football while I cold virused my way through a few pots of peppermint tea. Not sure I’d go again since I don’t live in Vancouver, but it was definitely the kind of place we needed at that time.
