Went there again. Tried the Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti Carbonara, both were absolutely excellent. Again we were sent home with extra food because of those huge portions. Great service again. Good wine. Still thrilled by that place.

We arrived almost 30 minutes late for our reservation, thankfully they held it for us. The waiter was slow to get to us and we were in a bit of a hurry. When the waiter came over he was very pleasant. About 20 minutes or so he brought the food out which was piping hot and smelled amazing. I had the chicken parm which was lacking flavor and did not have nearly enough cheese on it, however it came with the most amazing spaghetti in a garlic oil sauce which was to die for. The starter bread was also tasty and came with a delicious marinara sauce. When we received the bill we were a little surprised, for 2 glasses of water, chicken parm, and pasta pomodoro the bill came to a little under $ 50. All in all I would probably not go back.

Great food and excellent service. Been here a few times and we leave satisfied every time! We usually order a variety of dishes when we come in a big group but this time we came and my daughter wasn’t too hungry so we only ordered two half size pastas. I think the fact they offer you the option to go half size is great for people who can’t finish a whole plate and don’t want to waste food. We got the pomodoro penne and the linguini ai funghi. Both were very good but the linguini is still my «goto» dish here. The pizza is very good too. Very light and not heavy at all. The steak and the marsala are very tasty as well. Good price point!

Good food in a lovely cozy space on one of vancouver’s busiest streets. I have never had a bad meal here.

Love this place. Discovered it last week. Great food, great service, beautiful ambiance. Although a bit loud, a great place for a romantic dinner or fun time with friends. I’ll be back again and again.

We had a great meal, I had lobster ravioli and my wife had the linguine putanesca. Good, attentive service. Decent wine list nothing too expensive, but thoughtful pairings for the foodl

The pizza was amazing here! Most places cheap out on giving enough sauce or good quality cheese but this was perfect. The beet salad was a good size and not overly dressed. The pasta was good perfectly and delicious. Service was good too. Will be back for sure.

Yep. We’re fans! Not our first visit for dinner; Will not be our last. Telephone reservations made eight days in advance. We were warmly welcomed an promptly seated. Staff are friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Menu offerings are traditional Italian. Golden beet salad was delicate, well balanced, and gently presented. Very good! Pasta with meat sauce and veal parmesan were the entre orders. Excellent. Well balanced, nicely prepared, and promptly presented. Excellent. The Chianti was the perfect accompaniment to the, once again, fine experience. Thank you to all the staff. See you again!

My hubby & I have had many great dinners here and great memories since way back when we were students trudging up those stairs to the 2nd floor restaurant overlooking Robson St. Its been a decade and the place is still super busy in the evenings, pasta is consistently good and good portion sizes, and service is consistently friendly. Bottles of wine are also reasonably priced for a restaurant in the heart of Downtown. To avoid the crowds, we usually come on a weekday evening. Once a year, we also get to use an entertainment book coupon here which is great value. My favorite is their Tortellini Gorgonzola with blue cheese and bacon– so much rich and yummy flavors! Hubby’s favorite is Spaghetti con Vongole– I’m allergic to this so can’t comment on the taste. The only room for improvement is their desserts; they aren’t bad, just not very memorable. Also, no high chairs or elevator to the 2nd floor means we can’t bring baby here. That’s ok, it gives us a good excuse to get a babysitter and come for date nights.

Price is decent, portions are huge and every pasta tasted delicious. Their selection of wine has very good price for bottles. Service is wonderful and location has a nice ambience. Great place for family dinners/gatherings. The place looks fancy but you don’t really have to dress too fancy.

Delicious! Really cute and quaint restaurant with an antipasto display in the center. Everyone can see into the kitchen. Bookshelves of wine bottles line an entire wall, adjacent to a wall of windows looking out to Robson. The menu offered a wide variety of selection between fresh seafood and Italian favorites. It was hard to choose, looking around us, everyone’s plates were beautiful. We shared the Caesar salad — a little too much grated parm but the taste was good and love that it was offered with kale. A shaved parm would probably be a better compliment to the look and texture of the dish. For entrees we got the ravioli in a gorgonzola cream sauce(fantastic!) and the salmon special with a lemon buerre blanc sauce(perfect). Really happy with our experience and happily recommend to anyone looking for a date night or girls dinner spot with excellent Italian options! Only wish there had been crab cakes on the menu :-)

At first you don’t really want to go inside because you have to go up the stairs and the door isn’t very appealing, but once you are up, the view is very nice and the restaurant has a very warm design. The staff was very friendly and the food delicious! I highly recommend the tortellini gorgonzola.

Passing through and looking for some good Italian food. Went here based on proximity and Unilocal reviews and have to second the good words. They have a very traditional menu, kids can basically have just about any pasta and sauce combination, I would recommend the spaghetti carbonara, it was amazing, along with a wonderful sausage appetizer. This will stay on that short list for future visits to Vancouver.

Came here 4 nights ago for a late Friday dinner. Ordered the chicken saltimbocca which comes with prosciutto, sage and mozzarella with spaghetti alio-oilo for $ 24. Had it spilt which cost an additional dollar. If it wasn’t split, it would have been quite a lot of food! You will definitely be full. The meal was pretty good. Loved the prosciutto and the chicken was delish. Only thing is I thought the sage was a little too overpowering for my liking. Service was great as well.

Came here for a birthday celebration on Friday night. I had already eaten dinner before coming so I only had a taste of my friend’s Chicken Saltimbocca(with prosciutto, sage & mozzarella with spaghetti alio-oio, $ 24). Very good pasta, el-dente. The prosciutto is really salty but tasty while the chicken was nice with a sage of pesto on top. Overall I’d give the dish a 4. Portions are HUGE! I had an Old Fashion to drink — not sure what kind of whisky/bourbon they used but it wasn’t my favourite(or maybe I’ve been spoiled too much with the folks at Pourhouse who pour a mean ass Old Fashion). Great service and ambiance — dimly lit so it would make a nice spot for a date(they have 2-seaters along the window that overlook Robson Street.) I’d like to come back to try a full portion of their other pastas.

Cozy spot for an Italian feast. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and if you get a window seat, you get a great view of Robson street from above. I like this spot for date night. I wish their menu was larger and less basic. The proportions are huge and the price is affordable. I usually order the gorgonzola tortalini and it is always yummy.

The service is outstanding but the food is pretty average. At least they give you nice portions. The main problem is the flavour is super lacking and is at the point of being so homemade quality that I could just cook this stuff at home. And probably better too. I’d pass.

Evening business dinner no reservations but provided us with a great table overlooking the street. Bread with a delicious tomato/garlic sauce which was the first I have had for a dip but was incredible — we had to ask for the dip recipe which was graciously provided. Apps were tomato-boccancini salad and chicken livers both perfectly prepared and tasty. Mains were seafood linguini and spaghetti carbonara. I wish I had not been traveling so that I could take some home. Both were steaming hot and neither of us wanted to leave anything behind. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for great Italian food. Wait staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ambience relaxed. We will definitely return.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted by scent of freshly baked bread and pasta. Server seated us by the window and low light with wine adorned wall set a romantic mood. I was just here with friends but many other customers were here with family as well. Menu listed enough variations to choose from. Warm spinach salad did come as described — drenched in goat cheese and bacon. Starter bread was also toasty and went surprisingly well with red sauce.(I’m used to butter) As for the main dish, my carbonara was rich white cream sauce with bacon pieces and pepper. Just appropriate savory and creamy texture made it a filling dish. I was only able to finish half, so next time I’ll ask for half the portion. The long awaited dessert tiramisu arrived, also quite large in appearance. However, it melted in my mouth that it left no texture. Just hint of rum and chocolate synergy. Despite full stomach it was easy to finish. Price was bit steep for the cuisine but overall good ambience and experience.
