The place is very clean once you walk in; everybody at front is very nice! I have to admit though, it is expensive for tattoos. I got a small symbol and cost me about $ 170. When I went in for the tattoo, I had to wait about 20 mins past my appt time because the previous customer wasn’t finished, which I didn’t mind. I got tattooed by Nina; she is exceptionally sweet and knows what she is doing — she always asked me throughout my session if I was okay and if needed a break. My experience was great — my only issue is the overpriced quotes for tattoos!

Very over priced for what you receive. My 4th tattoo only took 45 min hardly any color and $ 350. Way over priced. Owners were nickle and diming me and already paid deposit so went ahead. No issue with artist but did not get what I wanted as when my appoint time came he tried to get another 100 saying it would be 2 hours and a lot of work. Also my appoint was at 5 and did not get in until 6. Go to stinger in Newmarket. Same quality at half the price

I went a couple of years ago to do a cover up of my small tattoo on my lower back. The process up to was fine, emailing sketches to me for approval, tweaking and stuff. I felt good going in. Her artwork was great and she is talented. However, when she put the stencil on my body I did not like the fact that some of the petals, vines and filigree flowed below my butt crack line. She said she would make the petals closer to that area smaller no problem. I repeated myself sternly because I wanted to make sure petals werent going to end up in my butt crack or too far down. She said ok she would tweak it on my body. My issue was that I didn’t want the vines to go all the way from my left hip, to all the way my right. So I understand she tried to make it flow from top left to bottom right. I sat in the chair for five hours no breaks. Because of the detail and shading, and the fact the cover up grew significantly larger in size, I definitely was in pain. You can tell the artist was getting antsy and annoyed, to the point where she was rolling her eyes… which I find extremely rude. Finished product; beautiful work, but the only thing I didn’t want? She ended up doing. The petals flowed lower than I wanted, and the filigree flowed onto my right ass cheek. When I saw it, I didn’t even know what to say… I was so pissed I just paid gave a cold shoulder thanks and left. I mean what can I really do now anyway? When I wear jeans, two inches of my tattoo detail is covered. If I had known it was going to flow so low, I would have just made the vines completely symmetrical. I was mad that I was mislead. IF she had told me no, those petals need to match the other sizes of petals or for whatever reason it’d still end up under my butt line, I honestly would have just made it symmetrical. I’d advise you to find another place that treats your customers with respect. And a place that actually CARES and listens about what you want.

A little over a year ago I got my first tattoo done here with Lu and since then I have returned for 5 more by her. Not only is she a talented artist but she pays attention to detail. I always enjoy my time at the shop because everyone makes me feel like family. Such an amazingly fun, but professional atmosphere. I would highly recommend Dreamworx Ink to anyone — I already have and will continue to do so.

I had a 5 hours tattoo and it was a painful rib tattoo. The tattoo is now almost 3 and it is the only scarred tattoo I have and it was done professionally. When I checked out, the owner was making some rude remark such as he would change me more than $ 500 if he knew that I would be in so much pain and asked for a break. What kind of customer relation/service is this? Then he suggested I buy a H2O care kit. I denied since this was not my only tattoo. I had 3 big tattoos that I got done in barrie from one artist and all of them heal without scarring and without the use of H2O. Then he threats if my tattoo fades out, he would change for a touch up. What??? Seriously? All he ever wants was money and I am not coming back for the second time. Sorry pals, you don’t deserve our money if you can’t treat us right.

Not even a 1 star. Don’t let the website and the elegant décor fool you. I went in to try to resolve the problem with the owner. I wanted to let him know that I was really disappointed with the way he handled the situation and found the original artist to finish my piece. I did tell them I would let them know my decision. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised by the treatment I was given. He told me my husband lied to me about him saying that I made a scene in the shop when I didn’t and suggested that I seek help because I was obviously crazy for being upset that they«lost» my $ 200 deposit, told me they had it, but then said they didn’t, and never once informed me that there might be a problem because my artist quit the shop. Lu(one of their star artists) is a phenomenal artist, there is no denying that, but the only thing the owner cares about is money and, unfortunately, he has forgotten he will get more of it with great(or even just good for that matter) customer service than by insulting his clients. Especially given the premise that this shop isn’t meant to be a place where you just drop in and pick a cute little dolphin off the wall to put on your ankle. He should take the $ 200 that was supposedly stolen and invest in some customer service training. That’s right, given the numerous different stories I have been given by his staff and by him, I don’t believe for a second that the artist actually stole the money. It’s more likely that the owner is simply trying to trash the artist because he doesn’t want clients to leave with the artist. Too bad he’s gone about it all wrong. I have a beautiful tattoo but it’s no thanks to this shop. It was only half done at $ 1000 and shouldn’t have cost me more than $ 800 for the whole thing. I was romanced by the website and really liked the skill of the artist I chose. I didn’t realise when they said they slowed down the design process that meant charging obscene amounts for the work. I will be the first person to admit that you get what you pay for and should never look for a bargain when going for a tattoo but there is such a thing as over-paying, especially when you’re treated like crap by the owner.
