Went there for breakfast with my wife and our toddler. Atmosphere was great, people were friendly, food was ok. Two meals came to $ 31.00.I thought this was a lot for breakfast. Also eggs Benny looked like a feature on the menu with 5+ options, however the hollandaise sauce was pre packaged. thick like mayo

We came here unexpectedly and it was fabulous. The décor is eclectic and fun. The service was absolutely great and very friendly. Tonight there was an entertainment set up. We thought it would start later in the evening. We arrived around 6P. To our happy surprise they started as we got our entrees. I don’t know the name of the group but the female singer was wonderful. If they had CDs available I would have purchased one. Dinner was delicious! We had the stuffed chicken with a wine reduction sauce. The chicken was moist and tender and very flavorful. The vegetables were not cooked to death and still had a crunch. The potatoes was smooth with hunks and also had a lot of favor. To finish our dinner, the made onsite lemon sorbet was perfect to cleanse the palate. There will be a definite return…

Amazing coffee. I’ve had sandwiches, bagels and dessert on different occasions here. I have found all of them pretty good. The coffee has always been well above average. Haven’t been for dinner but heard its popular. Parking is less than desirable, but can deal with if needed. Prices seem higher than average of most coffee places. All considering a good place to go and a great place to go have a coffee.

We went for breakfast with the kids. Self service kinda threw me off but the eggs Benny were good. Dinner a few nights later was another matter. Awesome. Great atmosphere and service and yummy food.

Drove with friends from James Bay because of the great reputation. The waitress was efficient and charming, as were all of the staff. We ordered the«special», which was 3 types of fish on rice. Unfortunately sometimes the special seems to be an excuse to use up ingredients before the expiry date. The tuna, salmon, and halibut were cut in small chunks, tasted fishy, and one could not tell which was which, either by taste or texture. I could have done much better at home and it wouldn’t have cost $ 35 per person. We shared one bottle of wine.

Definitely a fabulous and welcome dining experience in Langford. Food is seasonal and delicious. I had the steak and it was melt-in-your-mouth good while hubby had the chicken Parmesan which enjoyed. They have gluten-free options and the staff was knowledgable about gluten-free and Paleo. While we were in during the week, weekends look like great fun with live music. Kids are welcome, which we didn’t expect for a bistro experience — not that it was a problem for us. It was still quite romantic with great décor. Will definitely return.

Absolutely world class meal. Probably the best I’ve had in many years. Well done! The short ribs are amazing. I’m definitely coming back.

Had a very nice breakfast here this morning with my family, three omelets and a Ham and Egger(sandwich). Excellent quality food, great atmosphere, and a great cup of coffee. Price was reasonable and the service was great with a very hospitable staff. Great experience!

We read the positive reviews on Evedars on line and decided to take advantage of «free corkage» Tuesdays. Four of us took a couple of bottles of decent wine and decided to sample their small plates although their entrees sound and look great. Will try them next time. We were very pleased with the originality, quality and presentation of the food. The apple/beet salad was fabulous as were the crab cakes, flatbread and chorizo dishes. All things considered prices are quite reasonable. It’s not your typical bistro in ambiance probably because it is a multi purpose facility serving breakfast and lunch as well. But it works. All in all a very good experience.

Having recently had an excellent dinner at Evedar’s, I want to comment. Their daytime origins are a little obvious at night — the tablecloths aren’t cloth and the service is friendly, but a little casual. That’s where the transition from coffee-and-sandwiches ends. Dinner shows off well-executed, chef-driven cooking. Our starter of chorizo and haloumi was perfectly cooked and balanced by an interesting romesco-type sauce and garnished with my favorite microgreen ever, pea shoots. I had an excellent piece of halibut, and my guest had a flavorful, well-prepared flat iron steak. The sides, garnishes and sauces were deeply flavorful and prepared with obvious care. On a recent Saturday night there was a decent duo playing cabaret versions of current popular and singer/songwriter standards; don’t hesitate to sit in the back, as the music will be clearly audible, but it will make for more comfortable conversation with your dining companions. We will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is an A+, the décor is original and trendy. The owners are friendly and always welcoming and nice when you come in. The coffee and tea is good. Sandwhiches are a little boring but wraps, soup and everything else is delicious. Will always return on a regular basis whether its for coffee or lunch.

If Evedar were a man, I’d marry him. The service at Evedar’s is top-notch. I can’t recall a time I’ve been into this unassuming and charming neighbourhood spot without seeing one or both of the owners serving their patrons with pride. Breakfast — Delicious, the morning menu has what any basic breakfast menu in town would– savoury omelets and wraps, sweet french toast, granola or house-baked goods. The coffee is phenomenal and worth a trip here all on it’s own. They serve-up fairly traded beans from Spirit Bear Coffee Co. in multiple blends, you can even take your java to go. Lunch — Again, a bunch of varying salads and wraps(they sure do like their wraps here), hot eats and daily-changing hearty«special» items. Dinner & Dessert — Here’s where it’s at! Not sure where they acquired their chef, but they’ve got mad skills! The portions are beautifully presented and supremely fresh, and there’s enough on your plate to feel satisfied. The desserts are divine, if you’re not sure which to try, order one of each! They have live music most evenings which makes for a warm, lively atmosphere by which to enjoy a night cap. My mum and I stopped in here for coffee and dessert one night, and were thoroughly entertained and even sang-alone with the über-talented Jesse Brown. Mum had a decaf, the pot was on it’s last leg so the owner kindly brewed her a fresh batch. She had the Lemon Tart, and I the Chocolate Truffle, which they informed me would take a few minutes because it had to be baked fresh! SOGOOD! Evedar, I love him.
