The taste was not good like Vietnamese traditional taste. There are just a couple leaves of rau que.

Ordered the Chicken Phở, and specifically asked if it was white meat. I was told it was, but the majority was dark meat. Wont be going back, as there are a few other vietnamese restaurants to check out.

Pretty friendly staff. Food was just mediocre at best. Ordered phở(eh), spring rolls(ok), spring rolls(a lot of noodle, not much else), some rice plates and salads. Clean restaurant for a phở place tho! And really nice location right by the main downtown street.

The service is pretty slow, they have a small amount of waiters compared to the amount of customers they have. They do however have a good portion for the main dishes. For the appetizers, they only gave 2 pieces so I won’t recommend it. I got C1 which I think was a pretty solid dish and also my friend got a beef stew dish for the noodles which was a great portion and was favorful. Overall, the dishes were also a bit salty in my opinion but does the job :).

Consistently consistent. It’s not gourmet but the food is good, prices are good, service is quick.

Phở boi is very simple Vietnamese restaurant which appeases any Vietnamese craving you may have. However, do not be expected to be blown away. I had the phở tai(steak phở) which was decent but definitely does not bring anything exceptional to the table. It lacks the very fresh taste from the blend of spices a good quality phở should have. Friendly staff makes the experience better. Wouldn’t recommend but if you are craving phở, it should satisfy.

I usually eat at the other Asian restaurants in the surrounding area. This restaurant is located close to Goo Goo Goggles and across from Phy Vy. This is my first experience at this restaurant. My Asian food palette include the consumption of Phở. Because the other nearby restaurants were quite busy and there were only a few patrons inside this fair sized establishment we decided to try this place. Also I was on my lunch break. The hostess was friendly and quick. The interior was practical. The menu had a fair selection to pick from. The food arrived quickly. We had noodle soup that arrived with bean sprout, etc to add to our soup. The soup was tasty but did not contain much noodles. Good for dieters and patrons looking for a snack or light meal. The large Phở bowl(we each ordered our own bowl) that arrived for our lunch would not be considered a meal and the remaining ingredients besides the noodles were not generous. The Phở appeared to be served in the same size bowl as the other restaurants and priced a wee bit cheaper at this restaurant. If I ever came back here again, I would order additional food choices to eat with my large Phở. Perhaps my current experience was due to the cook making the soup???

Had lunch here in September 2014 with some friends. Had lunch combo #3. Delicious large portion of fantastic tender BBQ pork over rice noodles, with large Vietnamese Spring roll and fresh salad with sprouts. Green tea was great too. Great value at $ 10.95. Service was fast and efficient but not friendly and no smiles offered from any of the staff. Room is big and cafeteria like. No ambiance whatsoever, but who cares, I’m here for a good and reasonably priced quick and tasty healthy lunch. Lots of other items on the menu looked good as well. I’ll be back!

It was quiet in there. The staff spent more time talking to one another than serving me. The sprouts were flopped down on the table by the server girl. She had walked away by the time the plate had settled on the plate. The phở was surprisingly bland and relatively expensive for what they served. Light on the meats. I’m not going back. There is a much better phở restaurant across the street.

Post wedding the next day family get together. One good thing here is that the place was large enough to accomadate our rather large group for some Phở noodle soups. Staff was pleasant and it wasn’t a busy day here either. I think it was the daylight savings time changeover that everyone was having challenges with getting up in the morning. I was able to get my phở changed to the Egg(wuntun style) noodle instead of the vermicelli which was nice. The Wuntun noodles agree with me better. I think everyone here that day had a good experience. I only had one problem when fishing for the tiny bits in my soup. I found a piece of plastic about 3 cm long and half a cm wide. Probably from some kind of packaging. Thankfully I was able to catch it before swallowing! If not for that, it’d be a good 3 star review.

I definitely mirror the sentiment of other reviewers around here: Phở Hoa is a chain Vietnamese restaurant that should offer you consistency in menu items, but the downfall comes as a result of the quality of it’s mainstay dish. PHO: — Bland soup broth, actually better than Phở Vy across the street. And by better, I mean I disliked Phở Vy’s broth more than Phở Hoa’s + Noodles are regular sized and chewy, not that wide rice noodle mess at Phở Vy + Rare meat is EXCELLENT. Comes out thinly sliced and actually exceptionally rare OTHERS: + Had the soy milk(not commonly offered) and iced drip coffee with condensed milk. Get both, especially if you just came from a workout to give you some recovery + Egg rolls were decent, I would actually give this one to Phở Vy + Restaurant space is clean, well lit, and not a blistering Sahara heat like Phở Vy + Waitress is friendly and attentive Come here to escape the cold with a bowl of phở. If you’re a fan of strong broth like me, you might want to look elsewhere, or order something else from the menu like the chicken phở, or the rice noodle plates vs. the soup bowls.

Well after expanding my horizons and trying phở in a few different places, I can sadly and safely say that Phở Hoa’s phở(thats bordering on a tongue twister) is subpar and their broth is wanting for flavour. Also the last time I was in, the amount of goodies they gave us to add to the soup was sorely lacking as well as a lot less meat then their nearest competitor(and given just how near the competition is, you’d think they’d try to step it up a notch).

Fast food, pretty bland. Not bad for a fast lunch or after hours phở fix though. Go across the street if you want quality phở.

Had a lemongrass chicken bowl which was alright and consistent with my experiences I’ve had at Vancouver’s Phở Hoa but whether it’s here or Vancouver, Phở Hoa is merely an average Phở place. There are plenty of better Phở places out there although I’m not sure if Victoria has those.
