Spartan Moving

NEVER SHOWED UP.
I hired professional movers for a reason. With my recent back injury, my shot knees and a 60 year old father with a history of heart attacks, there was no way I was going to be able to move everything I owned from a 16 foot moving truck up TWO flights of stairs to my apartment.
But guess what I did yesterday?
I arranged for the movers to come at 3:30. 4:00 rolls around. No one. I call and the manager repeatedly ignores my calls, despite our call 2 hours earlier to CONFIRM my appointment. I call the lady whom they answer to. She made some calls and then tells me someone is on their way. They’ll be there in FIFTY minutes. It’s already getting dark. 4:45 comes around and I get a call saying that NO ONE will be coming because they DON’T FEEL LIKE IT. THEY TOOK THE DAY OFF BECAUSE IT’S SATURDAY.
Most people move on weekends so you’d think they’d have more people on call? Guess not.
At this point I’m in tears moving everything I own to my dark apartment with no electricity and my knees are BURNING. My dad has to take frequent breaks and I only allow him to carry items to the stairs so that I can carry them up. It’s getting darker. And darker. And darker. I am so incredibly stressed and so incredibly tired that I feel like I am going to collapse.
The lady did what she could over the phone and I could tell she felt bad. She reimbursed my truck cost because that was literally the ONLY day I could move and I had the truck for a day.
But those slatherass movers could not be bothered to do their job – to come down and help me when I had already paid them to do this job. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Please. Do yourself a favor and do not hire these bums. It’s a scam and it’s a joke. Let everyone you know know that SPARTAN MOVERS IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
Save yourself the aching muscles and burning knees like I am feeling now and take my advice.
