My favorite venue for meals on Whistler. It’s conveniently 2 minutes downslope from the roundhouse. It gets quite busy around lunch, so if you snack on the mountain and go for a late lunch you’ll be in for a good time. My personal preference is the Moroccan Beef Stew, it’s delish!

Best place for lunch on Whistler! While everyone crowds the pizza line, jet past and grab the delicious Moroccan Stew or Chic Pea Stew if you are vegetarian. A little small on the inside but less crowded and more cozy than the roundhouse!

The prior reviewer complained that this place was too small and inlay open during ski season. Why would it open when it’s at the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere during the off season? I like the small cozy nature of the place. We visited twice and it was never crowded and the service staff were very friendly. It’s not cheap but then you are on the ski slopes so what do you expect. Selection of food was good, we enjoyed two slices of pizza $ 12, a chickpea stew $ 9.50, chorizo sandwich with a fresh tossed salad and Moroccan Beef Stew $ 10.25

Small and over-priced… but cozy. I have a feeling that the Chic Pea is marketed towards tourists who want to eat lunch in a «cutesy» log cabin. I say this because it is small, over-priced, and they do no accept the Edge-card discount(a 20% savings). That is strange, considering it is owned and operated by Intrawest. But, like I said, they would rather the tourists go here, and the locals go the the crowded roudhouse. As for the food… it is pretty generous stuff. Greasy pizza… soups, stews(the Moroccan Beef Stew is actually quite good!), and the like.

Mid whistler mountain. Wasn’t too busy when I arrived around noonish. Got very busy towards the later parts of the hour. What’s not to like, when your stomach is angry for food because of hours of navigating the runs? The soup is hot and they serve pita bread with the hot soup. I enjoyed the thick chunky beef stew, but I guess when you’re starving, you don’t really have good judgment. Who cares about judgment, I got hot food, fast, for less than $ 10CAD. Oh oh oh the hot chocolate is really deliciously whipped(from the machine, of course), and the cookies are great to stow in your pants to eat later on the long lift rides up, up, up.

This place is small, only opened during peak season and did I mention small? The patio is nice. But, did I mention how small and cramped the Chic Pea is? I guess it’s supposed to be a little nicer than other places, but I don’t see it.
