First off, this Whistler Village landmark is about to close down for good since the property owner will not be renewing the lease, so we decided to get some drinks and have some food while we were at Whistler. The server came out really quick to take our drink orders so I ordered a lager and my wife had the hot spiced cider. It took a while for server to come back out and take our food order, but we did see here milling about a lot the patio and the inside and realize that this place is a pub and to be content that our glasses were not empty yet. I ordered the shredded pork poutine and my wife ordered the fish and chips. I had to flag the server down to get another beer and realized that the inside was packed due to if being sorta cold outside and that they were short staffed on a Thursday afternoon. So when the food came out it was piping hot. The pulled/shredded pork poutine was awesome! My wife’s fish and chips, well the fish looked like they were frozen. The fries were pretty good. This was nice place place to hang out on a sunny day and it will be a shame to see it go.

Atmosphere of this place is pretty casual. Our waitress was SOO awesome! She was very tentative, but also very interactive with us which was a total plus given that my friends and I were visiting from out of town. We were able to get a huge table upstairs so we had plenty of elbow room. All of the food we ordered was good which included quesadillas, poutine, chicken wings, edamames, and the Canuk burger. Also, their drinks are good :) One in particular if you like fruity is The Rocket.

Good après ski spot. Nice outdoor seating for people watching. Service friendly and prompt. Had frosted glasses, which is always a plus.

Took a while for the waitress to acknowledge our group’s existence as we were just standing in the patio area, waiting for her to turn on the heaters. We still had to wait even AFTER I had asked the bouncer to inform the waitress that we were waiting. We were a group of 7, so we were a pretty sizeable group of people standing around an EMPTY patio. The evening was off to a poor start, but luckily a gentleman took over to wait on our table and he was good at checking in for the rest of the night. That female waitress sucked. All we did was drink pitcher after pitcher. Favorite of the night was the Chestnut Ale.

Great food, awesome service. Waiter Jack was the best. Food is pricey but worth it. Highly recommend this place. Was recommended to us by our tour guide and was totally worth it.

Bacon cheeseburger was really flavorful without being greasy. It was a decent size burger. Fries were solid. Also got a BBQ chicken sandwich. Chicken was a bit on the small side but that might have just been a small piece. Could use more BBQ sauce. My wife and I have eaten here three times and really like it. We suggest you sit upstairs to have a nice place to talk.

The view of Whistler village was decent, but it was the only positive part of the experience. The food was awful. It was 17 dollars for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I didn’t know they used Kraft singles for cheese in Philadelphia, so thanks for that. The fries were soggy as well(and the vinegar had been watered down.) We won’t return.

We came here for a late lunch a few weeks ago during our visit up to Whistler, and randomly came in after briefly reviewing their menu and thinking it sounded pretty good. They were really slow to take our orders and then even slower to serve our food. We thought they had forgotten about us. I ordered their soup of the day which was a split pea soup, and expected that to come first, but it came with the cobb salad that I ordered. The salad was really mediocre, but it was good that the dressing came on the side. I can’t even remember what my boyfriend ordered because I don’t think it was all that special. The plus side of this place is that there is a huge outdoor patio where it’s perfect for people watching when the weather is nice.

Where to begin… I ordered the falafel salad. So gross… The salad was drowning in Greek dressing and the falafels were super mushy and gross. Didn’t even taste like falafels. In the 7 yrs Ive been with my husband, ive probably returned food twice(which includes this time). When I kindly asked for recommendations, the waitress smartly says«well, I don’t know what you like.» Oh, if I had no manners, the things I would have said. I guess it was my mistake to not check Unilocal first for the rating! She never even asked if I wanted some water. At the end of the meal, she asked my husband, but not me. Service and food pretty much sucked. My husband was also not happy with his meal.

What a great place to go for some drinks with friends. If it is a nice day then sit outside — their patio is the best in Whistler. If it is raining or you looking for some great service and conversation then sit at the bar so you can be served by the city’s best bartender — Stinky! Such a great fun guy. You can even order a Stinky to drink — Double Vodka and Iced tea. Very refreshing! Best bar in Whistler!

If it wasn’t for the most amazing General Manager, Scott, we would not have been able to eat here. We were lied to and taken advantage of at Buffalo Bill’s(see my review for that story — DON’T GOTHEREEVER), and were forced to look for a restaurant that would seat eight at 8pm on the Saturday night post Tough Mudder. GREAT. But we told Scott our story, and he managed to find us two tables. Not together, but we were just happy to have a place to sit down and eat finally! The service continued to be great. Because it was so busy, the food took a little while to come, but our server, Frances, kept checking on us and making sure our drinks were full. The meal didn’t blow me away. I had a Canuck burger with fries. The burger patty was a little greasy, but I let mine rest a bit before eating it and didn’t have any problems. The bun was great, though. The fries were nothing special. My friend had a pizza that she said was awesome. For a restaurant in Whistler, the drinks were a normal price and the food was a normal price. A bottle of domestic beer was 5 bucks. I had two beers and a burger — my meal was thirty dollars. Not bad for whistler! I wanted to give Scott 5 stars because of the great service he and his servers provides, but the food really let me down a lot. 5 stars for service, 3 for food! I will go here again, but only probably for drinks and people watching.

Really pissed I came here. Absolutely nothing going for it except there were tables available. Worst food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. They have worse food than the warehouse but 3 times the cost. Absolutely everything comes out of a package, even the ‘vegetables’. I guess you can try and make the argument that it’s difficult to get fresh products shipped up to a ski town like Whistler. But the grocery stores and lots of other restaurants manage to do it. The burger was worse than frozen patties you buy and cook at home. It was about 60% grease and rubber. The«salad» was a tiny bowl of yellowed romaine lettuce that was dabbed with dressing on top, and not mixed through. The crab poppers were disgusting. There was no crab. They tasted like battered then deep fried processed cheese with extra salt. Maybe they added crab juice, or pureed crab or something, but they were gross. And they cost $ 12. Wtf? It would have cost less to go to a nearby grocery store, buy a similar product in the frozen food aisle and heat it up at home after having driven back to Vancouver to get there. The service was decent, but the people at the door were really weird about carding us. They couldn’t decide if they wanted to or not, and rather than taking 2 seconds to do so, they hesitated for a minute amongst themselves if we were 19+. Our waitress seemed bored and wasn’t very friendly. She kept lingering around our table for whatever reason, like she was eavesdropping. I’m sure she wasn’t but it made me feel uncomfortable and awkward. The only thing I enjoyed was the beer and the snowflake shooter. Not a good sign since what bar screws up their booze. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is that I managed to successfully drink the horrors of my dinner away. I guess this is more of a bar, not a restaurant. But it is whistler, and people eat in the village a lot — and I think their prices are greedy, greedy, greedy for what they’re serving up. I would’ve had a better meal had I gone to McDonald’s.

Stopped in for drinks at around 8pm midweek. Drinks: Can’t comment on the food more than saying it seemed like typical bar grub. I got the Black Diamond which was excessively sweet and I’m convinced it had no liquor in it. S/o got the Polar Bear which was typical gas station-esque hot chocolate and schnaps, just okay. +0 Ambiance: Very busy, sat inside upstairs. Place was very cluttered and divey up there. There was a pool table right in the middle of the space, but not really enough space around it to play and have people sit comfortably. Also, a lot of storage out in plain sight – boxes of cutlery, etc. I think the patio is probably really amazing if you come during warmer weather, but I wasn’t really too satisfied with our experience. +0 Service: For how busy it was, our waiter was very helpful and prompt, but we only had 1 drink each. YMMV. +1 Convenience/Price: Right in the middle of everything, so it would be very interesting to people watch if you are lucky enough to be outside or near a window. Prices high for the quality, but on par with other places in whistler. +1 Other Factors of Awesomeness: Nope. +0 All and all, mediocre.

Food was alright. Nothing special. I think people come here more for the bar vibe. We had a rude waitress though. This was probably because we decided to come during college weekend(US Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend). These are examples of making horrible choices in life. The whole village is a roar with douchery and disgruntled servers. I’ll give this place a three star because it wasn’t bad nor great. Even though we got horrible service, I’ll give Citta the benefit of the doubt and come again during a less busy time.

OPENTILL1AM on a TUESDAY night while it appears the rest of the village is snoozing. Didn’t have a chance to do a thorough research while back at the cabin but this was the only place besides Duhb Linn’s Bar that popped up as being open this late. Not a bad spot. TV’s everywhere. People are freaking nice here. Drinks are good. Pool table(bonus!). Bar food was pretty good. Had the fish and chips and my friend had the chicken burger. Burger was alright, fish and chips were yummy, Not bad for the first place to hit up on our trip up to Whistler but sooo many places I still want to check out! :)

I recently came here for the 3rd time. It’s a nice casual bar for grabbing a drink. I’ve been here at night, in the middle of the day and also for dinner. The nice thing is, Citta doesn’t get too crowded. Why, I’m not sure because I think its pretty solid, but this works out well for me. Last time, we ordered winter ales, apple cider(alcoholic) and a bottled mango alcoholic beverage. We also split the poutine and crab poppers for a 3pm snack(just arrived in town). The drinks were good. The guys loved the winter ales and ordered 2 – 3 each. I liked my mango drink. The poutine could have been cheesier and everyone liked the poppers. The waitress was also very helpful with telling us about NYE parties and bringing us a Whistler newspaper to help us out. In the afternoon, people also like to come here with their laptop. If you’re looking for a nice, chill, not-too-crowded spot(can be rare in the village!), Citta is a good choice.

Came here for a quick lunch on a Saturday. We sat in the bar area and were told we could sit wherever we would like. Our waiter was a very close talker but he quickly took our drink orders and left us to decide on our meal. I chose the chicken caesar wrap with poutine and my companion had a cheese pizza. My wrap was full of lettuce and a small portion of chicken but was tasty. The poutine was quite good, though definitely not authentic. The gravy was nice and the cheese was melty. My friend’s pizza looked like it came out of a box from the freezer. Definitely not made in house. The food wasn’t bad and service was decent. For the price, I think I might recommend visiting somewhere else.

When our train arrived in Whistler, we were advised we had 2.5 hours to peruse the Village. Sadly, by the time the bus got us from the train terminal to the Village itself, we had around 2 hours to peruse and have lunch with my in-laws who were kind enough to come up from Washington to meet us «just for lunch»! There were lots of people in Whistler Village and sadly, most restaurants that appealed to us were only open for dinner or did not have a kid friendly option(our 10 year old nephew was with us too) and since I refused to do the Old Spaghetti Factory(bit mistake in retrospect), we ended up here as the menu looked somewhat promising to fit our needs. We were seated outside, and our waitress SUCKED. I figured immediately, this was a place that did not depend what-so-ever on repeat business. Drinks were never refilled, water glasses left empty and in general, absolutely the WORST service we had during our entire time in Canada. My brother-in-law was quick to point out that she obviously«wasn’t Canadian’! We all ordered something different-Kevin a beef noodle bowl of some kind, sis-in law a veggie burger(that looked dry), bro-in law a pizza that was advertised as «Magherita» but really was a full on cheese pizza, and the nephew had spaghetti. I made the grave mistake of ordering nachos. Now, these nachos should have been spectacular as they cost $ 17.50. Yes, I did say 17.50 for nachos. These nachos should have been made with specs of gold or something for the price and for the additional $ 3.50 for the guacamole I added on, these nachos should have kissed me is all the right places. Sadly, when these nachos arrived, they were awful. Tri-colored chips with a sprinkling of melted cheese a dollop of pico de gallo and a few scattered olives and scallions. On the side, I was given a small dip cup of what was the equivalent of Pace Picante Sauce and some really watery Costco quality guacamole. No beans, no meat-NADA. So, I did what I do. I took one bite, and then didn’t eat any more. No one wanted to taste them at the table and even my husband who hates leaving food behind said they were awful. Luckily when the waitress FINALLY came back to check on us, she asked if my nachos were«okay». When I advised they weren’t, she took them off the bill(hence the 2 star review instead of 1). So, next time, I might digress to the nephew’s choice of restaurant and eat at a non-fast food chain as it would have been a safer and much cheaper bet.

After a long day of Snowboarding, my boyfriend and decided to have a sitdown meal. We were looking for a light meal before heading back to Vancouver so we ordered: 1. Jalapeño and Crab Poppers w. Ranch Sauce 2. Chicken Fingers 3. Guiness 4. Caesars(Sunday Drink Special) The Jalapeño Peppers were nice and hot, just the way they should be made. I didn’t know the Chicken finger came with fries which was a good bonus and ended up being a more filling meal than expected(BONUS!) The chicken fingers come with either Honey Dijon Mustard(which I ordered and was delicious), or Ranch. My guess is all these foods are premade and all they have to do is heat it up but boy did they make it right. We were eating at about 3:30pm and the food literally came out in 5 minutes !!! The Guiness did not taste as good as it could have. My boyfriend said that the waitress poured it wrong but I thought it was okay… onely thing that it didn’t seem cold enough. My caesar’s was just right — good size, good spice and a slice of pickle to top it off. Overall, it was a little pricey, but you eating in the heart of whistler village so you get what you pay for. I was still happy :)
