Big note, this place is no longer Hatley Gelato Scoops, they no longer serve Ice cream. I walked in one day asking the kinda lady working there. Do you guys still serve Ice cream? I believed they stopped a while back when they renovated the place. I was right, she told me they no longer serve Ice cream or gelato. She did mention that another store within 100 meters was rumored to start selling ice cream. If your looking for great Ice cream in the area Cow’s Ice cream is great and only a stones throw away. The staff at Hatley was very friendly and it looks to be a great kids clothing store. I didn’t really look around much because all the clothes in the store don’t fit me. =)

NOLONGERHERE. Be warned Hatley’s kids store no longer serves gelato at the back. We went into the shop this afternoon and they said they stopped selling gelato in November 2015.

A bit hard to find especially when Google says it’s on the corner of a street which it isn’t. It’s really in the actually village next to a small bridge. They have interesting flavors like peanut butter pretzel which is devious. A must try if you want something different than traditional ice cream.

Awesome gelato one of the best I ever ate. The store needs a bit more advertisements.

Awesome find in Whistler, they need to make more advertising on the walkway. We nearly overlooked it in this clothing store. Is it the best I ever had, no, but it is pretty awesome compared to the other places in Whistler. We tried the chocolate and snickers and both gelato’s were really delicious and the scoops are a good size. We will keep this place in mind when we are back in town.

Holy cow(pun intended) this is the best ice cream and sorbet I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding, including hip and trendy places back home in San Francisco, and places from NY to Rome. It’s not too sweet, it’s full of flavor in a delicate way versus an overpowering way. It’s freshly made with local and natural ingredients, including the milk. And it works. Wish we had a shop in San Francisco. The one difference I would make is to have chunks of cookies in the«cookies and cream» flavor. Thank you Hatley Scoops for such a treat!

Did you know that meese(many mooses), bears, and beavers like gelato? Well they do! Nestled in the back of the Hatley store that sells cute shirts, socks, stuffed animals, and other giftable items is a gelateria! They had a lot of flavors to chose from — maybe like 20ish. I immediately chose to get a kiddie scoop of the Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch. I love hazelnut. The kiddie scoop was pretty generous too, I thought. The gelato was really good, very creamy. And it tasted like nutella. Yum!!! You pay for the gelato at the cash register where people pay for all the clothing and gifts and stuff. This is a really cute store to browse — the characters are just so cute!

Great alternative to the over-hyped Cows across the plaza. We had the banana and white chocolate gelato which were very good. Prices are typical for Whistler but better value with gelato than just ice cream.

There are a few places to grab ice cream & gelato from. Some that are just unbearable from the freshly made sugar cones. Mmmm. How can you resist? Well, if you’re the unconventional type, the one who likes to go off the beaten path, just a few storefronts down and over a bridge from a major ice cream shop, is Hatley Gelato Scoops. Looking in, you may question if the store sign is correct, because all you will see are gift and clothes. But nestled in the very back of the shop, is a small kiosk selling gelato. It doesn’t have the aromas or smell factor like its competition, but it has some tasty gelato. We ordered a Kiddie scoop($ 3.05) of Snickers gelato, which is basically one standard-sized scoop. The Snickers taste exactly what it’s called, the candy bar but in ice cream-like form. It has the perfect texture of creaminess with just the right amount of nuttiness, making for a very tasty gelato. I wouldn’t call it mind blowing but it was very satisfying, especially if you’d like gelato over ice cream.
