I went there opening weekend and it was fantastic. It’s across the street from the Fairmont Whistler and has a very relaxed feel to it. One of the best parts about the restaurant is Sean Pettit’s Dad is one of the Chef’s! I had a few good drinks and also had the pleasure of meeting Sean Pettit himself! Very humble, happy and awesome guy. Check it out, it will not disappoint!

We visited Legs Diamond and on Dec 29th… needless to say it’s a busy time in Whis but they were able to accommodate. Our waitress was great. Very friendly and tried her best to accommodate given the food here. The menu is fairly limited — about 6 or 7 salads/starters and 6 or 7 mains. This isn’t a bad thing but the options weren’t jumping off the page at us. Ladies ordered the onion soup which looked like porridge with a layer of cheese sprinkled and melted – both had to be sent back because they were lukewarm. They came back warmed up and just tasted like onion soup(not french onion, but JUST onion soup) and one of the ladies found a clove in hers. They both ordered the prawn salads and one was drenched in dressing, while the other wasn’t. A visible lack of consistency. The drenched one was sent back and removed from the bill. Even the waitress was like«wtf?» Me and my friend had the short rib burger. The patty was a ball and not formed flat enough prior to grilling, thus it puffed up making it hard to eat. My friend ordered it with fries which were large cut fries and we counted 4 in total. I asked for a side salad and that was probably the only redeeming food item we were served. Our waitress offered us a free deep fried cheesecake to make up for the salad but even that was just OK. Given they have an open kitchen, I figured the food would be much better… but it wasn’t. I hope that they can use this feedback and try a little harder next time.

Delicious food. Great ambience. Lovely service. Had the bacon wrapped tenderloin with Mac and cheese. The rest of my party had the burger and fish and chips. They’re picky eaters and had nothing but praise for the food. This place is a little too quiet but deserves more traffic, so check it out.

Unique, precisely crafted, and the taste came first. I don’t know where the chef came up with these ideas, but the ability to take the tried and true and provide a new twist was totally refreshing! Fun, affordable and wonderfully presented. Quaint, cosy with an approachable staff… how good is that? Very good!
