I went to go ship a package with FedEx, and they’re listed as a fed ex authorized dealer and have ground pick up, however this particular establishment will not allow you to process ground shipments. If you use express shipping they use their personal account instead of using the authorized fed ex system. Which means they’re charging a larger than normal cut. Being a small business it’s frustrating when they are falsely advertising that they are a fed ex authorized dealer when they’re just using their personal account.

I had purchased a lot of stuff during my visit to Whistler — and as my suitcase was already bulging at the seams when I arrived — I needed to ship my loot home! Thankfully there is a UPS Store right in Whistler. I stopped in around lunch time to find out what I needed to do to ship stuff back to the U.S. The gentleman working there gave me some paperwork to fill out and bring back with me. I returned later in the afternoon with my loot and the paperwork mostly completed. I shipped everything back, except for two cigars I had purchased at Whistler Cigar Co. The UPS guy claimed that if the cigars were listed in my shipment that it would not clear customs. I stated they were not Cuban cigars — they were actually cigars from Honduras. He continued to insist that made no difference. So to insure that the rest of my stuff made it home, I omitted the cigars from the shipment. He took care of carefully packing up everything and completed the paperwork and processed my payment. As I recall it was about $ 40 and change — far less than I was expecting for a UPS Ground — Canada to U.S. shipment.

I came in to get a couple of notes laminated. The guy working there was busy, but very polite. I thought considering he had to turn on the machine, get it warmed up, and cut everything, he did a great job. Plus he was printing blueprints for someone and assisting customers who came in to get their packages or print documents.
