This was a great way to experience the night life of Whistler Village! The staff was super cool and we ended up having a really enjoyable time.

This was a great way to meet people and party in whistler. Our group of 4 only did the half pub crawl. The beginning was kind of unorganized, the girl giving out wrist bands was losing her voice, she didn’t have a real list, only a Blackberry to tell her who was on the list. So we went to 3 different bar/clubs. The drink tickets barely got us anything. At one bar, it gave us PBR. Isn’t that AKA river water? what? The 2 other places were a lot of fun probably because we had 2 – 3 shots of tequila at other places. Also, the website does not mention a mandatory coat check at all bars/clubs. I understand that this might be the norm but it was just unexpected. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for first timers to Whistler. I enjoyed myself and my friends did also.

Somehow, against our better judgement, my friends and I wound up on the club crawl. We’d been to the sponsor bar, which we liked, and those Irish girls pushing the crawl were realllllly convincing. Some things to keep in mind: There was no food the night we did the crawl. They kept saying there’d be food at the next place(and then the next one!), but it never showed. With the exception of Tommy Africa’s, all the stops were bars, not clubs. At three of the four bars, the drink was set, so you got that or nothing. At one bar, it was a kamakaze-like shot,(my friend found a loonie at the bottom of hers – yuck), at another, one kind of beer. None of the bars were charging cover the night we went, so the $ 50 for 5 drinks was certainly not a value. On the upside, going out with a group of people means you won’t be at any empty bars. But with a little research you can have a better night out for less.

Granted I found it a little sketchy that the promoters lured us into an underground club in the middle of the day in order to try and get us to buy tickets for the evening, it actually turned out to be a pretty fun way to check out the whistler nightlife. For 50 bucks, you get admission into 4 different clubs along with drinks at each and food at the beginning of the night. They have drinking games at various bars for those who are interested in playing, but you can also sit back in do your own thing. There are about 80 people on the crawl at a time, so it’s good place to meet people. The only negative is that the crawl starts at 6pm. After a long day on the slopes, it’s hard to get a nap and hot tub time in with this starting so early!
