I went here two nights ago(Saturday) with my friends and here’s the kicker: It was my first time clubbing. I was very nervous(although I already had a couple drinks in me) and did not know how I.D. checking and cover fees were done. There was no line when we got there(around 11:35). My friends just explained it very simply to just show your I.D. to the bouncer and he’ll issue you inside the doors that will lead you up to a desk. At this desk, a $ 5 cover fee is taken and they gave you a ticket then you go up a few more stairs and give said ticket to one of two guys. It was about 11:40 when we got inside and it wasn’t overwhelmed with people yet. 1 being no one/handful of people and 10 being packed I can barely move, it was a 7 at that point? My friends showed me around the club(thank goodness!) and I was impressed how nice it was. Check their website to see the interior. I’ll be honest. It kind of smelled like feet for a bit. But after a lot more people came in and we started dancing, the smell was gone. I have never danced ‘club-like’ aside from in my room so although the drinks I had before made me not so inhibited, I still needed to get another drink. My friend showed me how to order at a bar which was very nice of her. She recommended an amaretto sour which was fantastic but was $ 5.50. One of my friends had to physically move my body from guys that appeared behind me while I was dancing. After the night wore on, I was more alert but still had fun. I had one guy who had the audacity to put his hands on my hips and I shoved them off and kept dancing. He did this two more times. If it wasn’t for the fact I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s night, I would’ve elbowed him in the nuts so fast. The V.I.P. sections were cool and the lounge area was nice. I was happy to know that the bar didn’t charge for small bottled water. Also, my friend grabbed us some free sandwiches the club was handing out around 1 A.M. The music ranges from popular pop, techno, a bit of urban and the like. The DJ did make some bad transitions a few times which caused almost a minute or so of silence but it was still good. I experienced first-hand that strobe lights in person are much worse than in movies. Ouch. We went to Bull N’ Barrel after and I realized that 29 Park isn’t for beginner clubbers but it exposes you to it all right away which is great. I’m happy my first experience was 29 Park though and I do plan on going back!

29 Park… 29… 29… I wish I was 29! My freshly minted adult cousins from these neck of the northern maple woods(are there even maple trees up this way?) felt like showing me what they have learned from their extensive studies of both my Unilocal and FB shennanigans. They thought they could one up the master… and they brought me here. Hmmmmmm It’s an alright place… though we got here late due to over pre-gaming back at the hotel a good couple blocks away. Downtown Windsor is an interesting place to check out at night while intoxicated. Its a nice touch that they closed down a number of streets for just this type of drunken revelry which we had otherwise included jaywalking everywhere. So it was win-win situation all the way around. As we got to the entry way, there was a short line consisting mostly of our party. After a short stay we were allowed through the doors to the stairs leading to a wide room of bars and other Candaian young-uns drinkin n gyrating n trying to make the best of the dark. The dj was spinning a melodic combination of both old and new school. Hell, he got me singing along with some of the songs. Nothing like singing while jumping off the tables with drinks in both hands. And then promptly passing back out on said tables. Between heavy beats, heavy scented indivudals, shots and drinks… the adveture alone to get to the bathroom from the smoking patio did not deter us from the fun we all had. Kudos pinsans! Kudos! ;D
