Food is delicious and cheap. Love coming here though I do have some qualms. The tea is served in a glass without a handle so if you try to touch it right away you’ll burn your fingers. Also it’d be better if the servers would come to the table more often to refill your water. But the actual food is amazing. Bibim is perfect, especially in the stone bowl, and beautifully presented.

Food is beautifully presented. The colours are awesome and everything is super fresh. Could have been warmer but it tasted very good and service was great as well.

I really enjoyed my lunch today at Bibim to go. I have eaten Korean food in many cities(Toronto, London, Vancouver and Halifax) and this was just as delicious and authentic. My friend and I ordered a beef bibimbap and a chicken one, plus a vegetable pancake. Very delicious, I highly recommend. We got ours in the hot stone pot which costs a dollar extra but is worth it. It came with kimchi, soup and Korean Salad for about ten dollars plus tax. Very filling and nice cozy atmosphere. I plan to go back.

Korean BBQ Bibimbap was delicious(is it ever not?). I love the stone bowls, but WOW were these ones hot. My rice was actually burning/turning black, so I’d tried to eat it faster, but obviously it was too hot for that too. Quite the predicament I was in. Still managed to finish it. They’re not as generous as other Korean restaurants with the side dishes, but their soup was very good. Not my first choice for Bibimbap in the city, but I’d go again.

SoSoBap Not fantastic. Not bad. I’ll go back, but I won’t rush. The bibimbap was missing flavor, missing freshness. The vegetables used were never the best, even the dried and rehydrated ones. The fresh ones seemed depressed to me. I wanted them to cheer up. I was happy to have found the place, happy to have a traditional bibim in a sizzling pot. Even one of my servers seemed a little happy. My appetizer also created some manic feelings for me. I was excited about the heat– excellent spiciness. The onions were sautéed in a way I wish so many chefs everywhere could learn. Beautifully intact and flavorful, daring me to have more and more! I did! After that roller coaster of outer goodness I dove in for the exciting yummy insides. The rice cake/fish cake/carrot … Wha??? Ok now I’m sad again. I don’t know what this is supposed to taste like but it tastes like dough. Not even good dough. Blechh. I’m not eating anymore. But wait. The sauce. The onions. One more bite. Blechh. Ok. Just one more… And so on… Folks, just make a smoothie — I’ll drink this app. I spent my time at the restaurant watching a tabletop full of used empty plates that hadn’t been cleared while the staff did other things. It was at a table right in front of the door so impossible for anyone to miss. It helped set the sad, yet somewhat manic(CLEARITDAMMIT!!) tone for my short dining experience. Unfortunately the high point for me was only a part of an appetizer. I will try again and hope to update with some less med-worthy information. In the meantime I’m craving onions for some reason. Mmmmmmm

Alright, I’ve gotten past the lackluster side dishes. The main food dishes are just so good! I tried the bibimbap without the stone bowl this time and it was still delicious(and $ 1 cheaper). Service is friendly and fast. I haven’t tried the non-bibimbap dishes yet but the bibimbap is enough to keep me coming back to this place.

We both had the beef bibimbaps(short rib and the other one), and it was pretty good. For appetizers, they have vegetable pancakes(it was okay, could have fried longer) and dumplings(pretty good). We haven’t tried the dukboki, which is a Korean street food. It’s basically rice cakes in hot sauce. I crave it sometimes, but I figure I don’t need that much dough. Service is courteous, helpful and friendly. I’d definitely go back. :) They close at 9pm on Fri and Sat and at 8pm during the weekdays.(Call to confirm.)

You can pretty much guess what a place like Bibim to Go would sell… Bibim 2 Go is a tiny(emphasis on tiny) restaurant, right next to Pita Grill, that sells Bibimbap. I want to say Korean food, but they have all kinds of bibimbap and not much else, other than some Korean appetizers like dumplings and pancakes. The service is super friendly and the place is kind of cozy. For those who don’t know what Bibimbap is… It is a compilation in a bowl, of rice, vegetables, meats, and a fried egg. Ex. A Chicken Bibimbap will have grilled chicken, korean vegetables like bean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, etc and a fried egg all over a bed of rice. You can get it normal or in a stone pot($ 1 more), which comes sizzling as it arrives at your table. But despite all that… I didn’t get a bibimbap. No. I’m an idiot. I ordered something else and watched my friends eat the Spicy Pork Bibimbap($ 8.99), while I ordered the Chciken Dunbap. The Chicken Dunbap is essentially just chicken with Korean BBQ sauce and broccoli over a bowl of rice. The chicken was good as well as the sauce, but it was oversauced in my opinion. The rice was drenched in the sauce and didn’t make for a very good overall meal. However, the taste was good. The spicy pork bibimbap was great. The pork wasn’t too spicy but it was tender and just plain good. There was a good amount of meat and vegetables and rice. However, they dont give you the egg unless you order it, which is kind of disappointing. The 3 stars were given because of how good their namesake bibimbap is. The prices aren’t bad and the food is good. If you’ve never had bibimbap, you should definitely try it at this place, considering there are not many options in the city of Windsor.
