Krooked Kilt

I have been a few times for drinks never had any of the food. Never knew it had food. The staff is friendly but I am disappointed they took pool table and replaced it with beer pong.

I was sad to see «Big Dicks» go, but this is a good replacement. Friendly staff and decent bar food. Not a place to go on a romantic date, but certainly a fun bar to hang out in.
There’s a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles, and the waitress we had was quite encouraging with the choice of cocktails they could offer.
Being close to the university it does cater for the student crowd, but there are people of all ages in here regularly.

The Krooked Kilt doesn’t have a name as great as Big Dick’s (the bar it replaces), but its definitely a stellar place to go for a brew or food. It’s sandwiched in between Jimmy G’s and Rani’s dollar on Wyandotte and can be missed if not careful. It’s a pretty narrow place with a nice bar and TVs everywhere. They also have beer pong tables in the back which is nice. The owner is awesome as well as most of the staff. They have specials everyday and the menu itself is small but has all the pub food fixins.
The burgers here are pretty good, even the ones on Monday ($ 2 burgers and $ 2.50 Cheeseburgers). The wings are the real winner here. They’re giant wings that must have been taken from chickens injected with steroids. The wings are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. As much as you can say about the food, it’s really the drinks that people should come for. Thirsty Thursdays get pretty packed ($ 10 pitchers and a Live DJ) and its nice to be able to stumble back home since it’s so close to campus.
The place is pretty empty during the day and some nights, but on Thursday night, you can barely breathe. Make sure you go and check it out that night…
