Cool place! In a very good location next to many cafés and pubs. Walkerville area is really great. I had the latte here as part of my ongoing mission to find great coffee in Windsor and this place hit the spot. So far I’d say part of the top three espresso/coffee places in Windsor, they know how to pour and steam milk better than most places here(as the art of espresso based drinks and steaming milk has yet to reach Windsor), although I haven’t tried every place yet. The set up is nice and spacious also, good place to study or get some work done. They also make their own almond milk, I tried my friends almond latte and it was very nice. Free Internet and great staff. They have a small and nice breakfast & lunch menu also which looked good but unfortunately I didn’t try, will do next time. Keep up the good work!

A few things have changed at Salute, which is unfortunate since at the time of my last review they were doing everything right. Well, their head roaster left, and as a result of this the quality of the roasted beans at Salute has dipped(in my opinion). No matter how well you brew it, you cannot make a mediocre roast great even with the best espresso machine and barista in the world. Still a good place to get a coffee, and the food is excellent. It is a million times better than a Tims, but they are not reaching the highs of their earlier days.

I was so relieved to finally find specialty coffee in Windsor. It IS a rarity. Kudos to owner Dane Charles for doing it right. From sourcing green coffee to brewing, Dane and his staff are quite simply the best. He is devoted to his craft and to educating his customers that there is great coffee beyond Tim Hortons. Stop in. Support LOCALBUSINESS. These guys are doing it right, one espresso, one pour-over, one latte at a time. If you’re unsure as to what to order, ask. They are approachable, friendly and want to share all the goodness of coffee from the farmer to your mug. It’s my go-to espresso bar. You won’t be disappointed.

Great café! Their lattes are as good as almost any we’ve had. They also have a delicious cheese croissant. The place is below street level, so there are no distractions from outside; we often go there to study. At the same time, the whole front wall is windowed, so there is a good amount of natural light. There is usually a mix of people working quietly and friends hanging out. We always enjoy our time there!

Really wanted to dislike this place… Couldn’t. It’s quite alright! First, the important part, the espresso: spot on. Though another type I wanted to try wasn’t available, the classic was just fine! As excellent as any I’ve tried and on par with the best in the city. I also tried a dessert to gauge freshness and was super impressed. At first the idea of a sort of dark basement space seemed depressing and dated. Then I sat at one of the simple chairs and felt like I was part of the underground crew… Listening to the cool music, enjoying my excellent espresso and dessert and wondering who’d pop in next. It grew on me. I will try it again.

This is probably the best coffee shop in Windsor in terms of high end coffee. The beans are all of high quality(Intelligentsia the day I went). The coffee is made with care using the pour over technique with Hario equipment(kettle, ceramic drip cone) so don’t expect it to come out quickly! The coffee is served in a server with milk and sugar on the side and a mug on a wooden tray(much like at Intelligentsia). The interior is modern, minimalist. There is free wifi but you need to ask for the password. Thought the selection of coffee beans could have been greater. All in all, a fantastic coffee shop! Hope it stays around in a town that loves Tim Hortons.
