Normally I love Bull and Barrel. I’m a country girl, and i like going out where I know the songs. They tend to play pop-y country & not a whole lot of old good stuff(other than shania twain). But yesterday while waiting in line, the bouncers and staff where playing in a wheel chair and making jokes about the disabled. As someone with a family member who uses a wheel chair I was very disturbed by the lack of maturity. Honestly from then on out my night was tainted.

Small portions for a country bar. Music was horrendous! But I should have expected that. Staff was friendly and prompt, I tried to pay to have the music changed but they weren’t having it. I was still hungry after my Buffalo Chicken, it was half the size I was expecting.

Bull & Barrel contacted me via Unilocal to come in and review my experience. I was the second customer in the entire place. I walked up to the waitress at the bar to inform her who was I was and she presented me an envelope and told me I could sit anywhere I wanted. I chose a booth far from the bar and it was comfy. I don’t doubt it and I want to give her the benefit of the doubt but the waitress was very pleasant and friendly but maybe because she know I was there to review their food. That’s besides the point. She asked me what drink I wanted and I said water, she offered with a lemon, I said no thank you and she left me with a menu to peruse. I wasn’t feeling for a heavy lunch because I was going out with my friend later that night so I decided on their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich($ 11.99 before tax). For this burger, you pick grilled or crispy(I chose crispy) and it comes with your choice of waffle fries, house salad, or Caesar salad(I chose waffle fries). All burgers come with tomatoes and shredded lettuce. I asked for their buffalo sauce on the side because I didn’t know if I’d like it on my burger(the waitress informed me it was a mix of Frank’s hot and garlic butter). After taking my order to the kitchen, she came back with a carton/tray of condiments including ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, and their house mild sauce, and house hot sauce. Once getting my meal, I tried the buffalo, mild, and hot sauce. I recommend to not have any of those because the consistency leans to watery and the flavour isn’t the best. Now, the burger. I was happy to find it crispy and some parts looked darker and I thought it was burnt but thankfully it wasn’t which made it so delicious. The burger without sauce is SO tasty. The tomatoes gave it a great flavour and I didn’t mind the shredded lettuce although it does remind me of how McDonald’s does their lettuce. The burger is a decent size and if it didn’t fill you up, the waffle fries would. The waffle fries were generic good(no special spices that I tasted) but they were nothing like Smoke and Spice’s bomb amazing waffle fries. Bull & Barrel’s Buffalo Chicken Sandwich… I would say it’s in my top 10 for best burgers I’ve had(I don’t eat burgers often resulting in being picky about them but in comparison to other burger lovers, my opinion could be void). When I went to pay, I was given an envelope. It’s a promotion item where the next time you go into B&B, you bring the envelope(UNOPENED), and the waitress opens it for you. You can win whatever it says on the envelope(see photo). This isn’t a new concept to me as Smoke and Spice did this last year but good to see other places adapting it(unless B&B started it first or it started somewhere else first). Pros of my experience: 1. Pleasant, friendly, and helpful waitress(she answered my questions and even offered to change the television channel) 2. The food was good 3. I’m indifferent to a basically empty restaurant(it doesn’t affect my judgment) Also! If I come with friends to Bull & Barrel at around 11PM, I can still place an order before the kitchen closes at 12AM. Pretty happy about that. I rated this place a 3.5 in my head because as I was almost finished eating my fries(after having finished my burger) I saw a couple fruit flies hovering near my food and that made me not want to finish the rest of my fries. I rounded it up to a 4-star because the food and service was good that I’d come back again. Hopefully, no more fruit flies. Please.

Came into town for a concert in Detroit and stayed in Windsor. Went to Bull n Barrell for their New Year’s Eve party. It was fun but over priced entrance and drinks. The dj they had played great music. I don’t know if he is their house dj. The bartenders were friendly but nothing extraordinary. Being from a major US city, it takes a lot to impress me, and BnB didn’t do it. I think they are trying to be something, but the execution needs a little help. Not bad but not great. Just ok.

Stopped by the Bull and Barrel yesterday(Sunday) and had a fantastic time. Delicious food, and a Caesar to die for. I had the B & b burger with waffle fries, nothing short of amazing. Apparently Sundays are cheap Caesar day, so I got one. Amazing. Ill include a picture, it was massive. Bartender was very personable and I am a fan of that. I will be back very soon!

Went to the Bull and Barrel because of it’s huge patio and smoking section, which my boyfriend appreciated. We were hoping that there would be a special on a Monday night, but sadly, all that was offered was«kids eat free», which didn’t really interest me. Most everything on the menu had meat, and specifically pulled pork. My boyfriend had a hankering for wings, and ordered them suicide style with a Coke. I ordered a Cesar The waitress asked me what kind of Cesar, and I asked her what kinds exist. She said there was a drink menu inside, but I would have to go inside to see it, which seemed very odd. I ordered a «regular», not wanting to have to go inside to see the drink menu. When the drinks arrived, my boyfriend immediately noticed his Coke was flat. My Cesar looked gorgeous! It was decorated with a huge celery stalk, a pickle, a lemon and a lime. Unfortunately, it was not very good. I’m not sure if it was the Worcester sauce or the Clammato, but one of the two didn’t taste right. The suicide wings arrived and looked amazing. They were HUGE! My boyfriend can be a picky eater, so I wasn’t super surprised when he complained that they were too salty. He managed to eat five or six, and so I decided I would partake. I am a wuss when it comes to wings, so I dunked the suicide wing in sauce. I cannot normally eat suicide wings without turning red in the face. These wings were just salty and vinegary. They were not very spicy. I couldn’t eat more than two without my tongue starting to hurt, and not from the spiciness but saltiness. My boyfriend compared it to eating too many Sour patch Kids. The staff were all very nice and friendly. We went inside to pay the bill and I noticed there was a HUGE cocktail list, which I would have loved to have seen when I paid.

I had the chicken, beef brisket and pulled pork platter with mixed results. the chicken was real dry and tasted reheated. the bèef and pulled pork were not bad at all, not the best in town but decient. real good service from Eva. fair prices for the volume. no complaints overall.

I’m not really a fan of country bars but was here as part of a bachelorette party. We reserved a table on a Saturday night and did not have to pay cover(it seemed like they may have one at least on Saturday evening). Our reserved table was in a corner, not close to the dance floor. They also have a mechanical bull(I believe the cost is $ 5) that drunk girls in short skirts were riding to the cheers of the observing males. Might want to plan ahead if you want to take a spin. The positive: the interior is pretty spacious, not a ton of tables, but a decent amount of room. The dance floor is a good size as well. The outdoor patio is large. Our waitress was friendly and checked back in enough that we did not need to go up to the bar. Since we were there for a girls night, they had plenty of fun, girly drinks and shots. The prices were not bad(though this does depend on where you live, so in comparison to the metro Detroit area). The negative: The drinks, while a decent price, were not very strong. This is ultimately lead to us leaving.

One of the worst experiences of my life. Went on a Saturday, after the waitress took our order after a full 60 mins without coming back we finally tracked her down. She said honestly there was a fundraiser in front of us so it would still be a while. About 5 mins later someone brought out 2 of the 5 meals but one was incorrect. The waitress came back and without asking took back both meals and said they were the wrong ones(this is after we had already started eating!) They after another 15 mins she finally brought back our orders(they were wrong again). No apology and then we were handed our check. horrible experience, food expensive AVOID!

Came out here to have a good time on a weeknight but ended up leaving with such bad service from the rude bartender! You would think that when business is slow and six ladies walk in and are buying drinks that the service would be great. but no. Not only did this guy have attitude issues, but he also said he’d call the cops if we didn’t pay the bill just because part of our group left to get the car. Don’t even waste a dollar here, go down to Manchester instead. Much better vibe, better people and an overall good time. I will never go back to the Bull and Barrel!

Lowlife scum go here! This place is great if you want to get into a fight! I was there on Saturday and 3 fights and police showed. People are rude and obnoxious inconsiderate and just plain pathetic! Plus the beer is 5 bucks! Not ever going here again. Left at 11 pm

Not really known for its food(great nightlife), but its pretty good. The Bull N Barrel is a restaurant that serves up barbecue with a country music backdrop. The whole place has that American Southern feel. The place is pretty big and the outdoor patio is real nice. This review is only about the food though. The menu has all your BBQ staples like smoked ribs, pulled pork, burgers, and such. The servers are real friendly and are dressed(not sure by their choice or not) like cowboys and cowgirls). But anyways… We were pretty hungry so we ordered up the wings tossed in the Bull n Barrel Hot(not the smoked wings), Ribs, and the Pitbull Burger. Also had a boatload of waffle fries cause everyone loves waffle fries. First of all, the chicken wings were damn good. I’m not sure if it was because I wasn’t expecting too much? I was craving wings, so we ordered up a pound of their Bull N Barrel Hot. The Bull N Barrel hot sauce is a mustardy BBQ sauce that was actually dark(not yellow) and had a rich tangy flavor to it. Not hot at all. The chicken wings were giant, plump, and juicy. The skin was crispy and… damn, it was just good. They deserve 5 stars. Definitely will come around on Tuesdays(All you can eat wings). The reason for the review getting only 3 stars was the entrees. The ribs were decent. They had a nice rub on them and were tasty. However, the meat was a bit dry. It wasn’t moist at all. The sauce on the ribs weren’t good and there really wasn’t a smoky flavor to it. The Pitbull burger was probably the most disappointing. It’s a shame really because it sounds SO good. Sliced beef brisket and onion rings with bbq sauce on an 8 oz burger?! I had to get it. But the end result wasn’t what I was hoping for. The brisket was dried and curled up from being overcooked and left out a bit too long perhaps. The burger was absolutely dry on the inside and didn’t have a good taste to it. Waffle fries were fantastic though. Overall, the entrees were a bit disappointing. The ribs were alright but the burger is something I’ll definitely avoid ordering again. The saving grace was just how good those wings were. Surprising. The service was excellent and the place is pretty cool.
