I’ve been here 3 times in the last couple of months. The décor is nice — very similar to the old tap and grill in case you remember that. They have great cocktails and while the food seems to get mixed reviews I really like it. The house burger is delicious. I had a think tomato bisque soup yesterday that was really fantastic. Kudos to the chef. The mac and cheese while super flavorful has far too much hidden garlic in it for my taste. No one will kiss you on NYE if you eat their mac and cheese haha! The restaurant itself is noisy when the place is busy. Something other reviewers have noted. The crowd is younger(I’m in my 40’s) and they sometimes have live music which is not great if you are sitting too close to the performer). Service really needs to be improved at this place. It’s «smarmy». Consistently, and not limited to a single server. I don’t know the cause. It does look like they might need a few more servers when it’s busy. We often wait to be served(drinks refreshed, plates cleared between courses, payment etc). As an example with their small beer menu I have yet to have a server here list the menu or ask questions about taste when you ask: immediate referral to the menu. I would come here more often, prices are good(parking is often an issue) food is good but honestly I predict I will tire of the poor service and end up at Jekyll and Hyde across the street.

Turns into a pub at night during weekends I’d say. Was unreal packed the night I went, still managed to have delicious food and drinks tho. I had the poutine and its out of this world delicious! My friend said the burger was average. Drinks are not cheap btw.

Really cool environment and the food was exquisite! Only thing to improve would be to expand the beer list but the few options they have are good.

Brand new to the Village! A smooth and simple interior boasting long wooden tables along with smaller tables for 2, this was an easy place to get comfortable in. Came in 3 days after opening to watch a hockey game, and left with a very positive first impression. Signature drinks were fun to try, my fave was the Barrister, a bold drink that made a perfect post-dining finisher for sipping slowly . The Lemmongrass Spritz was a refreshing starter for the night however, and kicked off the appetizers(Maple Chipotle Chicken Wings and Nachos a la Kiwi) well. Those chicken wings were exceptional… loved the salute to ‘Canadiana’ with the maple! Friendly and energetic staff, fresh, clean interior, unique menu… this place is a great addition to the Osborne Village gastro scene. A sexy place to catch the game, grab a post-work convo and drinks with a colleague, or intimate dinner with your date; there’s a divided restaurant and lounge side.
